Lots of wonderful smells had me hopeful but the flavor for me just ended up 'cinnamon light' leaving a dry feeling in my mouth. I think this one would be a good candidate for some experimentation with ratios, as the fruits didn't seem to come through in taste, but likely would given less water.

Love, love, love this spring-summer tea! This delicate white chai tea is full of fruity tropical flavors, that will make your tastebuds sing with delight.

I’d expected this blend to be a bit on the weak side, but found myself pleased with the amount of spice and flavor that came through, and how well all the ingredients complimented each other. Added just a splash of cream near the end of the cup, and I really enjoyed the creaminess it added. Very good blend!

UPDATED from 4/16/21: The sweet smell of cinnamon, ginger and citrus greets me as the CommuniTEA packet opens. It steeps (at a slightly lower temp than recommended) into a golden color. Namaste, as the delicate white meets light chai spices with a tropical fruit twist. No one flavor stands out, so it is well balanced. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) really brings out the sweet fruitiness. Ahhh - it is so enjoyable to drink, and with low caffeine that means almost at any time of the day. Such a great tea, and how cool if it possesses healing powers. (5 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener).

Chai flavor is present and I get a bit of the white tea in there as well. I brewed it according to instructions - 5 min. 212* F - but I think that may have been a bit too hot. I detected a little bitterness.

Subtle and smooth...the chai spice is there, but has a laid back quality perfect for an afternoon treat.

This is by far my favourite chai tea. Creamy. Smooth. Soothing.

Just the right amount of spices. The spice does hide most of the delicate taste of the tea, but i found the balance very nice.

Love this! This is now my favorite Chai. Only problem is that I went through it too fast and now need to get more. Great delicate flavor but at the same time it isn't weak. A must have!

Amazing! Spicy but smooth. Crisp and clean. My new favorite spring chai. I love the mystery. Is it a chai? A white tea chai? Is it a white tea? Look at that brewing recipe. It doesn't matter because it's a celebration. I love the bright taste and appealing brew. Not bitter or tart. Nice and mellow with a delicious mouth feel.

This is a wonderful, smooth, gently-spiced Chai. Bold enough, but not overwhelming. I’ll buy it again.

A really interesting chai tea flavor, it’s hard to describe. A bit less spicy than regular chai, I can taste the coconut and it make the spices a bit smoother on the tongue. It’s a lighter, more exotic chai.

true to its name, it is a very light tea. The spices are there, but the overall nose and taste while drinking is *very* cinnamon forward. By far, cinnamon is the predominant spice almost to the point of overpowering the tea. I would recommend this for anyone that tends to dislike the bitterness of black tea, but wants to try chai. @adagioteas

Just as wonderful as I remember it being at Teavana. And, like some of us did back then, blend with the Samurai Mate to bring a sweet balance. Even better with a bit of honey or sugar.

This is easily one of the best teas I have ever tasted. The coconut flavor really stands out to me. I loveeeee it. It reminds me of the Teavana samples when mixed with Samurai Mate.

Temp seems a little high for a white tea, but it's not an unpleasant cup. I don't really get much of the fruity notes. It's very cinnamon-forward. Definitely better sweetened.

I'll start off by saying I am not a Chai fan, but my oldest son is and loves Chai very much. I didn't know what to expect with this chai, but I tried it and I love it! I originally tried this with the CommuniTEA and ordered a bigger bag that same day. My chai loving son also loved it so in my mind it is a good tea to keep on hand. We both tried it warm with almond milk froth. I loved the fact that it was a light tasting Chai and not overpowering like so many Chai teas end up being. Very delicious!

The brewing instructions on my CommuniTEA packet said 212F for 5 minutes, but this is a white tea. White teas are pretty delicate, and I didn't want to make it bitter, so I brewed this at 175F for 5 minutes, and what I got was a really excellent tea. I can taste the white tea in amongst the spices, and it's different than a typical chai with the lemongrass, coconut, and pineapple. It's a very interesting blend. I wasn't sure that I would like it, but I really do. I found it was best hot instead of warm or cold, but it's good when warm and cold, too. If you like teas chai teas or any tea with a lot of 'warm' flavors, I definitely recommend this tea.

There is an intense cinnamon aroma wafting from my CommuniTEA packet. I did not detect the taste of lemon grass, coconut or pineapple. I am convinced the proportion in my packet was off so I still plan to get a sample. Never-the-less I enjoyed what I steeped so I thought it deserved all 5 stars. I will update after I try the sample.

This tea is interesting - it has a 'weak' sort of quality like most white teas, but it has the chai spices that give it a kick. I don't really like chai at all, but I'll admit the chai spices in this blend are much less bold and 'in-your-face' but it's still not something I am really enjoying too much. Not bad, but not something I will be asking for again.

I received a single portion sample of this tea as part of the CommuniTEA box. As I received only about a teaspoon of tea, it may be unbalanced compared to a larger purchase of this tea. On with the review proper.

Upon opening this package, the tea immediately smelled strongly of cinnamon, practically like Redhots, those red cinnamon candies. There was very little to smell other than that, and while the leaves that I had seemed large, with some visible pieces of lemongrass, it didn't seem as though there was any of the coconut or pineapple that the package said there should be. In all, I received only about a teaspoon of tea, filling much less than my little steeper ball could hold in half of it, and significantly less than what I usually receive.

After steeping for the recommended five minutes at 180F, it created a pale tea that smelled strongly of the cinnamon as well. Upon tasting it, though, all I could taste was the cinnamon with a bit of the peppercorn in the back. I couldn't taste any of the lemon, nor any of the other ingredients. Adding sugar helped to brighten it to an extent, and adding a touch of milk helped to blend the peppercorn with the cinnamon.

Overall, it's a good white chai tea as it is, but I really can't rate it more than 3 stars since apparently I'm missing a huge portion of this tea with being unable to taste the lemongrass, coconut, or pineapple. While I love chai, I honestly don't know if I like this much at all because of the missing ingredients and the overpowering cinnamon that doesn't want to let the other flavors have a chance to show.

White tea and chai with some tropical flavors was an intriguing mix. I’m a fan of white tea but am not a chai lover, so was curious to try this tea. Maybe I didn’t get a balanced sample, but this tea was very cinnamon and clove heavy, and there were no coconut or fruit bits accompanying the tea and spice. I went light in water as there was not a lot of tea, but it was fairly weak in flavor. The white tea flavor was masked by the spice, but when hot I did get a bit of fruitiness at the end of the sip. That gave me promise that a more balanced sample might have more tropical punch. By the end of the cup I found a lot of escaped cinnamon bits! I think this is a blend for spice lovers with the potential of a fruity addition.

I'm not really sure how to rate today's Communitea sample. My packet was missing ginger, coconut, clove, peppercorn, and pineapple so the flavor profile was heavily altered. The aroma of the dry tea was akin to Red Hots and the tea itself was very cinnamon forward without letting much else come through. Overall, I didn't care for it, but I'd be willing to try again since so many components were missing

I was expecting this to be heavy on cinnamon based on how the sample smelled but the tea was very light tasting and really did not live up to the chai name. That being said I drank the cup quite fast. Can’t see myself getting this for myself but would drink it if someone offered it to me.

A light chai. A lil heavy on the cinnamon, especially seeing as its base is a delicate white tea. I liked addition of the fruit flavors though.

Not for me, I can see how others may like it but it is very strongly spiced and peppery with next to no tea flavor. The second brew was much more balanced but you have to drink the first cup to get to that and it was just not something I enjoyed.
