Tastes very delicious and spicy like chai. This is beast had in morning
The delicate flavor of white tea blended with familiar chai flavors and the added zesty notes of lemongrass, coconut, and pineapple.

Tastes very delicious and spicy like chai. This is beast had in morning
A beautiful blend with late-fall/early-winter vibes. Soft white tea with a subtle sweetness, bold chai spices that aren't overwhelming, and gentle fruit flavors. My chai-loving husband and I are really enjoying this one. The blend is unique, with comfortable, familiar flavors. I personally think the recommended steep temperature of 212 was too high for a white tea, but I found great success steeping this at 195.
This is absolutely my favorite Chai tea. The flavors are aromatic and warm!
I bought this tea in hopes it would be very similar to Teavana's White Ayurvedic Chai. The ingredients are very close as the Teavana ingredients were white tea, cinnamon, lemongrass, pineapple pieces, coconut chips, ginger pieces, cloves, black pepper and cardamom. As everyone knows by now, you can't get the Teavana version any more. But I would say, from my memory, that this is just as good and for the price, you can't complain at all. Would recommend to all chai tea fans and former Teavana drinkers!
PS sorry I don’t remember how long I steeped this for
Updated, 6/4, I think they changed something. It tastes different than it used to
I was looking for a replacement for teavana version. This is close but not the same. It's still good though as it's own thing
White tea tends to have such subtle flavor that they really threw every ingredient possible in this chai to give it flavor. While it's not my favorite tea, I will say that if you want a white chai, this is not bad. All of the flavors they added help to balance one another. Ginger, cinnamon, and peppercorn are all flavors that can overpower a tea and make it too spicy--not good spicy like cloves. You get a little bit of spiciness at the back of your mouth without the aftertaste that is all too common with ginger. Again, while it's not my favorite, they did a good job of balancing all of the flavors so none of them are particularly overpowering or noticeable above the others.
Great smell of the dried tea in the packet with strong cinnamon notes. Lots of little interesting looking bits in there. Sadly, I can't detect much taste from white teas, so this brewed tea tasted like Cinnamon Water with a little bit of other flavors. If you like/can taste white teas, is probably really good.
I love this. I enjoy the white tea version of this chai. I call it my Summer Chai. I like this because I can drink it all day because it has low caffeine.
The fruity flavors and coconut actually do blend in with the chai very well, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a potent flavor though, so it s not something I can keep drinking over and over. But it's nice for a once in a while treat.
I really enjoyed this White Tea based Chai and the addition of pineapple and coconut was subtle but added overall to the tropical twist on a traditional Chai. I would drink this one again, happily.
A pretty good chai. The white tea makes it less robust and in your face than the black teas that usually accompany chai.
Did not live up to my hopes or the lovely smell. Tasted simply like a white tea, not at all chai like.
A chai that is white
A snowflake that is spicy
'why is it spicy?'
When I heard the all the ingredients I was a little skeptical but this blended into a beautiful chai tea.
Cinnamon. That was the first stoma that came to me when I opened the packet. Brewed as instructed 5 min at 212. My first taste was also of cinnamon. It wasn’t until I had been sipping for about 30 minutes that I got a clove taste. I guess for me perhaps it was a bit too much on the cinnamon side - but it was a tasty treat.
I found this chai to be pretty straightforward and basic, and a little light on flavor. That said, I'd definitely be open to trying it again!
I usually don’t go for white tea, finding the flavor too light. But that wasn’t the case with this tea, the chai spices really came through for it, and the lemongrass made for an interesting twist. Altogether very enjoyable
This is definitely not my cuppa tea. IMO the spices, especially the cinnamon, over power the white tea. White tea is a gentle, light tasting spring like tea that probably should not be blended with strong bold flavors, like spices. Of course, this is just my opinion. This is not a tea I would purchase for myself or for friends.
This tea is a fantastic combination of the warmth of a chai, the lightness of white tea, and the sweetness of tropical fruits. It is great hot or iced, hot or cold brewed. Yum!
Opening the packet could smell a spicy cinammon aroma plenty of lemon grass in it. I could taste a light cinnamon ginger but couldn't really taste the pineapple. The coconut was a light undertone as it cooled.
I enjoyed this White Ayurvedic Chai through the CommuniTEA & I plan to definitely order this for my stash! Just A bit of Spicy, a beautiful white tea that gives a breath of LIFE, LIGHTNESS AND LOVELYNESS! Ayurveda is a beautiful path towards vibrant health and this tea blend resonates with this essence of intention!
Not gonna lie- I wasn't in a chai mood today and was already planning my next tea for after this to satisfy my mood, but this cup won me over. I'm a fan of heavy chai flavor with sweetener and cream but this was a delightful change. I steeped at 185⁰ for 7 minutes to compromise between the white tea and herbal elements and the result was perfect. Ginger and cinnamon were prominent without being overpowering on the first sip with mild white tea, lemongrass, and a hint of something in the background that must have been the coconut/pineapple combo coming through on the aftertaste. I sweetened with monk fruit to mellow the spices which brought out the clove and cardamom and made this a well rounded, light chai. I can see how this isn't everyone's cup of tea as far as chai goes, but I found it a wonderful companion for a cooler spring day where you're stuck between seasons and flavor cravings.
Great alternative to black chai when you're not in the mood to have black tea. The spices blended well with the white tea. The lemon grass and coconut flavors were minimal and unfortunately I couldn't taste the pineapple at all. But that didn't stop this from being a tasty chai and I'd be happy to have this again.
From the communiTEA sample, the tea smells nice and spicy. When brewed, it was cinnamon forward with a faint chai flavor. This would probably be more flavorful if cold brewed.
I'm not much of a chai person, but this was light and quite enjoyable. I do like cinnamon, and ginger, and cloves, but for whatever reason most Chai teas are too much for me. If you're like me and tend to avoid chais this one might be worth an investigation to give it a chance. I am quite fond of white teas, so maybe that's the ticket. I would describe this tea as mildly fruity with pleasant and warm, but subtle, spices. 195F for almost 5 minutes. Aprx 1.7 grams of tea, 7 ounces of water.
Well-balanced chai with some pleasant fruity elements.
It was ok you can taste the cinnamon and peppery taste, (212 @ 5 min.)
This tea was tasty, and I like the cinnamon in it, but I didn’t taste anything else. I kept the water temp down a little - 195 - and I steeped it for 4 minutes. I was looking forward to the other flavors but they just didn’t come through for me.
This blend is really good! It has the traditional chai spices, but the mixture of lemongrass and coconut gives it a tropical twist. The added ingredients also tone down the spices a bit which I find perfect for spring and summer sipping!
Oh this tea is a surprise. Not mild like most other white teas. Very cinnamon forward, with the other spices mellowing out and some sweetness on the end.
CommuniTEA 2/28/22: I'm not sure if it's the cinnamon and lemongrass or the pineapple and cinnamon, but done combination is giving me strong lemon dish washing liquid vibes. It's not BAD but not something I would reach for. Maybe if I had a better distribution of ingredients (I had only one tiny fleck of pineapple and no peppercorns) this would taste different.
195°F 5 minutes, 1/2 tbsp sugar
Too light of a chai for my preference. The aroma and aftertaste is of cinnamon. The main flavors are so mild that it is hard to taste anything other than warm cinnamon water. 8 min 200. Added sweetener and a splash of milk but nothing notable came forward for me.
I was skeptical that a white chai would be very good, but this tastes great! The flavors blend together perfectly to create a unique tea.
lovely afternoon tea. i enjoyed the subtlety of the chai in this delicate blend.
A classes chai blend of spices. Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves being the most prominent flavors. There are faint, underlying hints of lemongrass and coconut but neither flavors show up strong enough to be a prominent presence. The biggest difference that makes this tea stand out from the other chai blends, is the use of a white tea baise which provides a more delicate, light flavor then the black tea.
Chai is one of my favorites and I knew from reading the other reviews that this one is lighter in spices than most other chais. The main smell I got from opening the package was cinnamon, which also carried over when brewed as it was also the main flavor. The rest of the spices and lemongrass were light background flavors that enhanced the warming feeling of the cinnamon. I liked this tea, but I personally prefer stronger spice flavor if I'm choosing a chai tea.
Updated (Apr 28th '22): I used a minimal 5 oz of water to the amount of tea in my packet, and added sweetened coconut to the brew... that helped my opinion since last year, but white tea and chai just isn't my thing. The light base just doesn't hold up to all that spice in my opinion. (reviewed through CommuniTEA 2022; 5 min @ 195F)
Original (Apr 16th '21): To me, it tastes like cinnamon water with a hint of clove. I was missing dried pineapple and coconut in my packet, so I added some from my pantry. Even with a healthy addition of both, I couldn't taste either of them. The cinnamon and clove dominants above all else, and the watery base doesn't really provide enough substance. (reviewed through CommuniTEA 2021; 5 min @ 195F)
For my taste buds, this blend needs a lot more lemongrass and ginger. It's OK as is, but I know it tastes better with those adjustments.
CommuniTEA portion: I had previously tried this hot and apparenlty had not reviewed it yet - so I'll update it next time! But today I cold brewed overnight. I am a chai fan in general and this one provides slightly different notes of tropical fun while maintaining a nice spice. I need to try this with a milk or milk alternative becuase I feel like it would be next level. 😀
According to the list of ingredients, I should love this, but I just find it to be a disappointing and watered down tea.
Gentle white tea and cinnamon flavors come forward first, lingering as ginger, cardamom, pineapple, and coconut aftertastes settle in. Something is a little off about this flavor combination - these are all flavors I love, but they are combining to an almost soapy flavor, kind of like rose. Overall a good tea, but it's missing the mark.
4/22 This time I decided to cold brew this blend to see if it would enjoy it more. Sweet Cinnamon up front with coconut and ginger flavors following with a spicy zing on the finish. Really enjoyed this light chai cup.
4/21 Another first for me. White tea and warm spices, seemed like an odd mix. When I opened the packet the clove was the prominent aroma. The tea was a chai light, added in a 1/4 tsp honey and more flavor came through. I did not taste coconut or the lemongrass. It was a nice cup of tea.
A very light chai that has a bit of a tropical flair. The Lemongrass, Coconut, and Pineapple give a bit of sweet taste that is followed by a bit of chai spice. It is light and tasted fine with no milk/cream, but a splash of cream in it really rounds out the flavor. A very nice, mild chai that great for summertime.
Oh! This is my new favorite! Love this tea! I like white tea for its low caffeine and the ability for me to drink it all day.
I am not a chai fan, however, I was pleasantly surprised by this blend. There was just a hint of spice on both smell and taste. This is good one for hot or cold brewing and has blending potential (for those for dare).
I could not steep this the full five minutes, as by three minutes the tea had reached the level of spice I enjoy. A very nice chai.
So close. This tea might have been perfect—save for the coconut.
Loved this one - lemongrass and chai? What? I so enjoyed the lighter version of a chai with the fruity additions. It's a keeper for sure.
Chai is my favorite kind of tea. This is a mild, delicate chai. Although the spices are there they don’t overpower the white tea at all. Unlike other reviewers I saw no peppercorns and tasted no zings from it. I got mild cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, clove, and coconut flavors, especially as the tea cooled. I couldn’t use 212 degree water with white tea (horrors!), so I followed Jim’s sage advice and steeped for 4 minutes at 185 degrees. I added a small squeeze of agave to bring out the flavors.
I wasn't sure what to expect from a white chai. I was especially surprised to see it should be brewed at 212F, but it isn't at all bitter and has that nice peppery chai flavor.
