I like my chai teas spicy, and with the peppercorns this was spicy! Unfortunately I also like really full bodied chais and this didn’t really do it for me.
Our Tri-Pepper Chai is a triple threat of spicy heat with three types of pepper and classic masala chai spices. If you like the heat, you'll love our newest chai!

I like my chai teas spicy, and with the peppercorns this was spicy! Unfortunately I also like really full bodied chais and this didn’t really do it for me.
I may be in the minority, but I kind of wanted more kick to tri-pepper. Don't not get me wrong, this is a decent chai with a zing.
Finally! A tea that heats up my mouth in more ways than one. Not too much, just right! The chai flavor along with the peppery heat is exquisite! I look forward to my tea every morning:)
Love this tea. It is surprisingly smooth with a nice little kick afterward that tickles the throat. Just spicy enough.
Exactly what you’re expecting. Spicy as all get out. If spicy is what you’re into, definitely take it. It’s not much for flavors other than spicy though, or maybe I couldn’t taste them over all the spicy. More cinnamon would do it good.
This stuff doesn't mess around on the spice! I particularly love that it's blending different types of spice! The masala spices give warmth and body, the peppercorns give it a zingy bite on the tongue, and the chili flakes heat up your tongue and throat. I love it with a spoon of honey when I'm feeling a little under the weather
While I don't have such a refined palate as to specifically highlight all the different spices this tea maintains, I have come to really enjoy the Tri Pepper Chai tea for its complex pepper and spice profile. The 'heat' of the tea took me aback with my first cup, but I quickly acclimated to it and have come to enjoy and appreciate how nuanced and balanced it is. It isn't at all one-dimensional - it is very layered with flavor and aromatics and still maintains a smoothness I didn't expect. I might recommend a lighter dosage for those with more delicate palates, at least with the first cup.
I like a spicy chai but I think this one is actually too spicy for me! A bit of milk and sugar mellow it down considerably, but as I usually drink my tea black, I think this tea has more limited use for me.
Some of my favorite chais have pepper in them. This one has a nice blend of heat and flavor.
Definitely a spicy chai, which I love! But surprisingly mild in terms of its actual flavor profile. Didn't have any problems with it getting bitter after oversteeping though, which is always good for me since I often forget I have tea brewing
My favorite chai, so spicy and very filling with added milk. Very similar to a chai mix I found in Dubai.
Good chai tea with a good kick. Would recommend!!!
Spicy! Great tasting tea, lots of flavor, great with no sugar/honey/milk
So, the spice balance on this tea is a good balance in general. Sometimes it is more cardamom-y and sometimes it is more pepper-y. That said, it just isn't for me. Someone else will probably love it though.
It's actually delightfully spicy which was a pretty refreshing taste considering the teas that are available on this site!
I’ve been looking for a chai I remember from years ago. It was a box brand but it was delicious! It had a pretty strong taste of tea and spices and I remember it being pretty burny in my throat. I haven’t been able to find it or remember what it was and I had hoped this one would work. This is burnt, but more like a chili burn, not a ginger burn. I think the tea could be stronger and more robust. However, it’s pretty good anyway.
Good but very spicy! I would cut back on the amount of tea next time, maybe mix with another chai. Good flavor overall.
My husband loves spicy chais and this has been by far one of the best kinds I’ve gotten him.
This tea is pretty spicy but it’s really great! I love how peppery and spiced it is. Definitely one of my favorite chais
This beats Teavana any day. I find that it is very similar to the Ayurvedic Chai they used to carry.
This tea has some kick! It's a nice pick-me-up when I'm feeling tired during my planning period in the afternoons. Mix it with some lemon and honey and it's great when your'e feeling under the weather as well.
Definitely a strong, peppery spice, as advertised. Spicier than the average chai tea, for sure. I like it both black and with milk.
This tea was absolutely fantastic! It was spicy and warm, with the cardamom coming through so clearly. It went great with milk and sugar
I received this as a sample and instantly bought the largest bag available. I agree with every other reviewer who said that, if you are a fan of dirty chais, this blend makes the best one you will ever taste. The spices in this blend are unlike any I have ever had before and just work so well if you prefer your beverage to have a kick!!
My absolute favorite chai mix! It is so warm and spicy, and makes the best dirty chai with a shot of espresso and steamed milk. Lots of complexity in the spice and the hot pepper warming is a wonderful addition on cold winter days.
This is a very nice spicy kind of 'wake you up tea', a little on the spicy side but very nicely balanced, worth a try if you like chai teas, and spice.
I love the spicey nature of this Chai. I use my Breville tea maker to brew and often, given I'm making a larger amount, will combine with a tea scoop size of the decaf Chai as well.
Wowee! I ♥️ this!
As a lover of all things spicy, when I read the reviews on TrinPepper Chai, I knew I had to try it! This tea packs a good punch of black pepper, which just barely lingers and compliments the other flavors as they come through. The heat may not be for the timid (it has too much heat for my husband, who can only eat jalapeños if the seeds and veins are removed), but if you like a little kick-me-up in the am, Tri Pepper Chai is a great option!
I absolutely love this tea. Mixes well with all the teas I've tried. It will become your favorite if you love spicy foods.
Spicy peppery goodness. Add milk and sugar to taste. It has an interesting bite
Enjoyed the full bore peppery zing of this spicy chai. My tea cup was powered by four red and two black peppercorns as well as five clove spikes. My taste buds did some loopty loops but the tummy warming tea was a welcome sip on this cold March day.
My CT packet had 3 g of a beautifully colored dry tea with red and black peppercorns, light green cardamom pods, beige and brown spice bits, spiky cloves and black tea leaves. Brewed 10 oz at 205*F for 5 min. The dark amber colored liquor had some cloudiness with a mild peppery aroma. A first sip revealed a very chai spiced tea with a hot pepper taste to finish. A sweetener add of agave softened the pepper bite a bit but it's warmth prevailed in the sweetened tea. I warmed up to this tabasco version of chai and delighted in the resteep too. If you enjoy hot and spicy foods then this chai will be a delightful sipping experience!
If you like a unique spicy zing in your cup..TRI PEP is for you! Its great mixed with a bit of Decaf Raspberry and a dash of sweetener...that fruity and sweet touch adds great nuance of enjoyment!
Nothing like a good spiced chai to wake you up! I prefer my chais on the spicey side, and this 100% delivered!
This might be my new favorite chai! I love the added heat from the pepper. I removed two (of the four) cardamom pods before brewing, and I added a splash of oat milk and a spoonful of honey for a perfect cup of tea.
To spicy hot for me even after adding milk. It's a tea my brother would love. He likes all things spice.
Oh, mmmmmmm! A truly SPICY chai -- not for the faint of heart, but I absolutely love it. Tried it with nothing but a bit of sugar because I'm out of creamer, and I greatly enjoyed the zing of spice, but I'm sure it would still be good with a bit of cream as well. Next time I order a chai, I'll go for this one.
Trepidation filled
I prepared to steep this tea
I don't like spicy
Well that's not quite right
I love a warming chai spice
Hot peppers aren't nice
On my nose, chai spice
On my tongue and throat, fire!
Help, help where's the milk!

This tea is quite spicy! It makes a great chai latte - the milk helps tone down the heat. If you like the heat, crush the peppercorns!
Warm, hot, and unforgettable! It's exactly as promised: an extra spicey take on a classic blend.
The dry had a nice spice aroma. I picked out the chili seeds and broke open the cardamom pods. 5 min @ 175. My group of tasters, myself included, nearly all agreed it wasn't enjoyable because of the burn. Oh well, at least we tried it!
Out of all of the Adagio chais that I've tried, this is my least favorite. It's a gentle and not unpleasant spiciness, but it doesn't taste much else. It is infinitely better with cream.
An abundance of 7 green cardamom pods, and both black & red peppercorns were found amidst curled black tea leaves and cloves in today's packet. I broke open some of these cardamom pods to extract some extra spiced-chai flavors while in the steeping basket. A 5-minute steep at 212°F produced a rich chestnut brown colored tea.
Peppery, zesty spice comes through in the first sip with plenty of zing from the peppercorns and heat from the chili flakes! A wonderful blend of cardamom, clove, and spices balanced with black tea filled the rest of the flavor profile.
Adding some chocolate honey and cream made this into the perfect spicy chai! Alongside the Masala Chai blend, this is now my favorite Chai blend from Adagio!
Oh my goodness but this is very heavy on the pepper. I steeped it at 195 for 3 minutes. I took one sip and all I got was strong spicy at the back of my throat. I didn’t add anything to it so for those of you who add cream/milk and sugar/honey/sweetener, that may make a big difference. It’s just not for me.
A fun experience to have in the CommuniTEA box. I don't think I'd order this one, but I don't handle chili heat all that well. This tea really has a lot of heat! If it didn't have the chili flakes, I'd love it.
With the chai spices and the variety of peppers, this tea packs a spicy bite. It’s very flavorful but not excessively spicy. A nice warming cup.
This blend is bold and fiery, and is not for the faint of heart. The black tea is a robust and full-bodied tea that has a malty and earthy aroma, adding strength and character to the brew. The cinnamon, ginger, cloves and cardamom pods provide a classic and aromatic spice that is familiar and comforting. The red peppercorn, black peppercorn, aniseed, chili pepper and ginger varietal add a triple dose of heat and a burst of flavor. Tri pepper chai will make you sweat and if you like spice more than I do, then it will make you smile.
I absolutely loved the spice in this tea. I surprised myself since I'm not usually big into hot things. I didn't feel that the heat was overwhelming in any way but of course that is a preference most people just have to experience on their own. I actually added some vanilla creamer in the end and thought it made it even better.
Yum yum yum. I loved this cup. It's an amazing chai with nice peppery kick. It's not spicy like spicy food, it's spicy like pepper, and it's so good. I really love this. 212 for 5 minutes, added a few tea rocks and some oat milk. It's perfect.
Very nicely blended chai tea. If you like a little kick you’ll enjoy this spicy blend. I enjoyed without sweetener.
This tea lives up to its name. It is pretty spicy. I think that if I got it I would mix in a little more black tea to try to balance it out a bit. I think that this would honestly be good to make ice cubes with to put in an iced chai.
