The first time I had a cup, it knocked my socks off! Spicy in a good way. I love it so much I keep reordering it! And best of all, it blends well with a healthy splash of half-and-half.

I loved this chai, it was perfectly spicy! I cannot wait untill it is back in stock do that I can restock, fantastic tea!

The Tri Pepper Chai is delicious for making a spicy, peppery, chai latte. It quickly became one of my new favorites.

★★★★★

This tea is definitely not for everyone. The 'tri peppers' in this tea make for a tingling sensation as you drink it. Very flavorful

Love love love this one! The spice is perfect. This has all the lovely flavors of chai, with extra peppery-ness. If you're a pepper fan, this is for you!

A lovely kicky chai. The warming spices with the pepper heat is a delightful mix, and I've got a quiet impulse to try a ginger honey the next time I make a Chai latte.

This is the best black tea I have ever had! Normally I am not a huge fan of black tea because I find it bitter and uninteresting compared to greens, but I found myself going back for second and third cups!

Wake you up in the morning and go-go beverage. Pepper is a wonderful rush in the morning. Great as well is you want to start with a sweat for working out.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorite chais. The blend of flavors is very well done and I am always left satisfied after drinking this tea.

★★★★★

My new go-to chai! This one is extra spicy and has a warm, peppery aftertaste. Can be overwhelming if steeped too long, so be careful.

★★★★★

This is the mother of all chai teas. I'm often disappointed when I buy chai because it seems like it should deliver more of a punch but that punch never comes. You don't have to worry about that here - they added enough pepper to the mix that it is impossible to miss the spicy bite in every sip. Pair it with cream and a little sugar or vanilla syrup to balance the flavors and make the pepper sting really stand out. If the caffeine doesn't wake you up, the spice will!

Wow- This one has a kick! Excellent on a cold, dreary afternoon, when you can’t afford to curl up on the couch…

Tri Peppe Chai is absolutely of my faves!!! I really like just about any chai, but the added peppery heat of this one combined with the orange, cardamom and ginger is really wonderful! It has the heat, but is not too hot, in my opinion.

★★★★★

The name says it all, a nice peppery chai. I do modify it by adding some cardamom pods, ginger, cinnamon chips, etc. Good for 2-3 steeps. Oh, and the cinnamon honey goes quite well with it!

A tale of two tastes: I tried this tea shortly after it arrived; and my first impression was that it basically tasted like regular chai with an added peppery flavor. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't seek it out--I just didn't see what the pepper actually added to it other than distract from the typical chai spices. I made this tea again this morning. I thought I was making it slightly less potent than the first time, but all I could taste was pepper. It just tasted like I steeped black pepper in hot water and added sugar. I forced down half of it before throwing it out. Now, over 3 hours later, I still have a bad taste in the back of my mouth. Put pepper on your salty/savory foods, not in your tea.

This is one of my go-to staples. I love the spicy kick.

Love this tea! Warm, spiced AND spicy!
My only wish is that it also came in decaf so I could drink it at night too.

I was not impressed with this one. The pepper creeps in softly right at the end. It could be a nice afternoon cup.

★★★★★

I'm pretty particular about my Chai. Many I've had don't have enough pazazz. This one, however, does! I drink with a spot of milk and a bit of honey. Lovely!

★★★★★

This is my new favorite tea! I love spicy teas and usually I have to put in as much as twice as much of the regular tea-to-water ratio in order to get a robust enough flavor but this was the first tea I actually had to dilute in order to be able to drink it. You can really taste the complexity of the peppercorns buoyed on top of this smooth cardamom and black tea base. For anyone who likes spice in their tea this is an absolute must try!

I loved this! Probably going to become my new fave!

Not my favorite, a little too heavy on the spices. When I brew it, I feel like the pepper and cloves get too strong before the tea and cardamom have had a chance to steep.

That being said, I do really enjoy making it as a dirty chai with a shot of espresso and steamed milk. Other chai can be swallowed by the espresso flavor but this one is strong enough to make a really nice dirty chai.

This is the spiciest chai i've ever encountered. Perfect for cold nights.
I decided to store this in bulk and also to gift it in pretty little jars.Love it!

This is a fun brew! I am definitely a spice guy (I add dehydrated habanero pepper to my coffee most mornings). I get a little back of the throat spice with this tea and it is quite nice. I am so glad I spoke with some of the other CommuniTea members about spicy options. (Thanks, Philip!)

This tea had a nice bite with the peppercorns, but I wish the black tea aspect was stronger. I had to use more tea when infusing to get it the way I wanted.

This chai is strong and aromatic, with a bite from the peppers that's just lovely. I liked it brewed as 1tsp of loose tea in 8oz, then tried 2tsp in 14oz and that was great as well. Best if you like a pepper spice on your chai. Balanced and spicy while also smooth. Especially good with a splash of creamer (I used nondairy oat).

Balanced spiced tea, not overdone but strong spice flavor. It was refreshing to have a pepper spice vs. cinnamon spice

★★★★★

I was expecting a brighter spice (for lack of a better word), but I was very pleasantly surprised by the depth of the flavor! The Tri Pepper Chai is almost sweet to me, which isn't a bad thing. It really is a satisfying tea and warms my chest nicely when it is cold out.

It's a hit! Hot, fun, a flair for the dramatic, and good for the throat. Glad I took a chance on this!
Peppers are genuinely flavorful, and the heat doesn't overwhelm the notes of sweetness, earthy, and vegetable. Clarifying drink. Might try adding it to broth!

perfect. no notes. i oversteep it, re-steep it, drink it black, drink it with sugar, drink it with cream - it does not matter. it is always perfect. spicy, hot, delicious. i had to start buying it in the largest size available because i was brewing and drinking a small pot daily. i used to be a coffee man. no longer. now i am a tri pepper chai man.

Sigh, It's just not what I want from my tea-drinking experience.
It's a VERY spicy chai, not like an autumnal spices kinda chai, of clove and cinnamon, though they are present, but a Chili Flakes and peppercorn kind of spicy. Not so spicy that it competes with the hottest hot sauces I've had. The heat lingers at the back of your throat and on your tongue for a while. Maybe if you had a cold or congestion, it would Clear it right up.
I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTea March 2024 box. Probably won't bother with it again. if you liked tri pepper chai, maybe try it's cousin chili lime green.
Update; not even going here, past Debbie's description made me relive this tea. It's still a No.

I just can’t do the burn. Where were all the cloves I usually attract in packages? All I felt was pepper. 3 sips a burning mouth and the rest down the drain. Not for me. CT 1/13/2025.

Relied on my chai-loving sister for most of this one-- a nice basic spiced chai. She thinks it could use a little more galangal, but otherwise quite good. I found a harsh bite of pepper at the end unless cream was added.

★★★★★

Love the heat! I wish the black tea notes were a little stronger, but overall this is pretty tasty. I stuck with the recommended 5 min but might try brewing it a touch longer next time to bring more of the tea flavor.

★★★★☆

This was a nice chai with a good flavor, but not one that I would drink all the time. The chili pepper is not really my thing

Jan ‘25: yeah it’s a tasty and interesting tea though I can’t say I’d want it too often.

I mean … I really love chai and I like spicy things so of course I liked this. It smells amazing, like the perfect chai; unfortunately the hot pepper overpowers the taste. Adding sweetener helps balance it out but I think it’s just a little too hot

Full disclosure... I don't like really spicy things. That being said, I noted the chai spices in my cup but it was just too spicy (heat) for me to enjoy.

CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F, I really like spicy food. I'm surprised that this does have spice in it! I thought it might tingle a tiny bit, the way that ginger and cinnamon can sometimes do, but no, this has pleasant levels of spice! Personally, I prefer something spicier, but I recognize that in trying to appeal to broader demographics, this is already hot for many. I think that of the typical Chai spices, ginger is the most notable, but the clove and aniseed also helps sweeten the tea. As you swallow it, you get a tiny hint of spice from the peppercorns, and then some more lingering spice from the chili pepper. I think the spice really helps cover up any kind of bitterness or astringency that you might find within the tea otherwise, to me it's just sweet and spicy, it's great! I managed to get two good infusions out of it!

A surprisingly solid chai that's not too overpowering. This was especially tasty chilled!

Oh wow! That's a spicy tea! I like the bit of spice that lingers at the back of my throat. A bit of a kick, but the chai spices make the blend sweet and mellows it a bit. A real morning kick in the pants.

I like this but I could not drink it on a regular basis. Cannot make out what the three peppers are but it does bring heat where most chais do not. Ginger is strong in this one too. Unique and oh so peppery.

Full disclosure: I have not yet tried this tea. However, I can tell just from reading the ingredients that this one would not agree with me. Who doesn't like a nice chai, but chili flakes in tea?? No, thank you!

Spicy, complex, definitely risks becoming overwhelming. I can't help but wonder if there's a way to turn this into a savory dish somehow, or how it might work in ochazuke. Will buy again.

Very spicy! But that's what we bought it for. My grandmother and I both portion it with our Masala Chai to give it a bit more of a kick, and it does the job perfectly.

Very hot. Not as in an 'oh my gosh my mouth is in pain' more of a warm back of the tongue and throat. Great tea and spice flavor and the peppers complement them great.
