I made a smaller cup of tea with my CommuniTEA packet and this was an unusual take on Masala chai. The chai spices are subtle. I tasted the apple flavor and what seemed like a hint of honey flavor. The profile was an interesting one. Sip, sip away!
Timeless duo of apples and spice. Juicy and pleasantly sweet, like warm applesauce, with a clean, refreshing texture.

This is a tasty chai tea but not as strong of a spice flavor as I prefer. It is still quite enjoyable! I found that the flavors intensified as I got to the bottom of my cup.
The weather outside may say Spring, but the CT packet this morning is all Autumn! Warm browns nestled around a nice chunky clove and a healthy helping of apple pieces were the first things I noticed, and the aroma was absolute heaven!
When hot, I found the cinnamon was the apple's first dance partner. As the cup cooled we changed things up, and the clove stepped in to whisk her off her feet, but never stepped on her toes. It's a sweet blend, all flavors highlighted on a beautiful black tea base that adds a nice, slightly astringant undertone to balance the sweetness beautifully. With a bit of oat milk and just a light drizzle of honey to taste (and honestly, you could leave sweetener out altogether,) this chai is a winner and one for the shelf!
(3 mins @ 212°F, honey & oat milk)
Flavors are quite soft; but enjoyably fragrant; comfortingly warm
Fresh baked spiced apples; made with love by grandmother; A cherished sweet treat (Haiku Review)
I had high hopes on this one. But when I smelled it, I feared it would just become another cinnamon apple tea but with the caffeine punch.
I gave it a go and yes, the first sip was heavy in apple and cinnamon. The orange, cardamom, ginger, and cloves were absent for me. I tried a splash of cream, it dialed back the cinnamon but the other flavors are still missing.
Chai light with an apple twist. Nice level of spice with a hint of apple flavor coming through, more when it cooled. Interesting blend.
UPDATE: CommuniTEA Packet: New Review: Spiced Apple Chai taste even better now for some reason. (can't be possible...but it is.) Lol Great for blending, especially Fandom blends.
Old Review: December 5th 2009:
Spiced apple chai is an incredible tasty and delicious tea that is perfect for the cold winter months.
It smells and tastes like spicy apples. More spice would be welcome.
It's okay. Not as spiced as I prefer, but the flavor is pretty good.
Maybe it was just my bag, but I wish it had more of an apple punch to it. I think the chai overpowers the apple a little bit. All around great chai tea!
One of my absolute favorite teas. Perfect balance of spicy and sweet.
Just the thing for a warm cup of tea on a cold night. The spices are nicely complex without getting muddled.
Great spiced apple flavor. Very bold flavors but not overpowering.
If you are looking for the flavor of spiced apple cider without the sugar, this is the tea for you! I tried a few fandom blends aimed at an apple cider flavor before stumbling on this one. This spiced apple chai was exactly what I was looking for, it really tastes exactly like a cinnamon-apple cider. I only wish it were available in decaf so I could drink as a dessert tea! This is one I think I'll try always have on hand.
Very flavorful and the aroma is great. I enjoy the way it relieves the stress. Prepare as suggested.
I made this extra strong so I could add soy milk. It's delicious!
This tea is very good, but I feel like I want something more from it.
Exactly what it sounds like. If you love tea, apples, and cinnamon, this is the drink for you.
The loose tea smells delicious, like hot spiced apple cider.
Great flavor, pairs well with milk as well as plain! I found I enjoy plain Chai better, but this is a good tea to mix it up once and awhile.
This tea hit my warm apple cider craving just right without all that sugar!
Delicious blend of fruit and spice, warming and welcoming.
Just love apple tea! However, the chai takes it to whole knew level. Incredible blend of flavors
Balances the fruit and spiced flavors really well, makes for a sweet and not-too-spicy drink that goes down easy.
Lovely spicy chai! The apple adds to the flavor in such a unique way that I wouldn t have even guessed! Enjoyed mine with milk and sugar. @adagioteas
Hot apple cider chai!!! That is what this is and it is tasty. I have no other way to describe the flavor besides if you combined apple cider and chai. It makes a very lovely latte as well.
This is one of my favorite teas. It is a great black tea. You can taste the apple and the chai. Perfect mixture of both flavors.
This tea is so good. I love the chunks of apple…..
This tea has reminded me of my childhood and being in my aunt's country shop growing up. It's the perfect spice and comforting on the cooler nights
Okay flavor, definitely can taste apple but missing some significant chai spice notes.
I've been making cozy fall tea lattes with this and my milk frother for an indulgent seasonal treat. Brew double-strength and add some caramel on top!
I personally love mixing this with the sour apple for a little more of an apple flavor. This alone is lovely.
Nice light apple flavor. Spices are very prominent.
I feel like every fall-themed tea is trying to attain a flavor that this one just hits on the nose. Forget pumpkin spice... give me more apple spice!! Not over-apple-y or too cinnamon-y, just the right amount of both.
Absolutely delicious. A great kick of chai with a hint of apple.
This is a really good tea! A good holiday tea to put you in the mood or an after dinner tea.
It took a few cups for it to grow on me. It could use a little more cardamom, but overall quite good.
This tea was a bit bland, barely any spice and the apple was an 'apple flavouring' type of flavour.
This it another tea that has the more mellow spicey flavor of chai but is a little sweeter. Probably due to the little apple pieces.
I love chai teas, and the addition of apple only enhances the experience! I drink this with a splash of half & half to create a lovely, relaxing chai latte.
not a fan of the artificial cinnamon scent. willing stay away from spiced teas from now
I am a fan of this one! I love the apple flavor, though it could do with being a bit stronger.
This is my favorite tea anytime! It's sweet without sweetner and just the right amount of spice. YUM!
This was delicious, but I think I prefer my chai without apple in it. It was a little too sour for me.
This was exactly what I hoped it would be. Warm, comforting and perfect for chilly fall mornings
Tastes just like it's name! Haven't tried it cold yet but has been perfect hot.
This one was very tasty. I made a very concentrated chai and added foamed oat milk to make an apple chai latte!
Taste is ok, but no matter how much tea I use or how long I let it steep, it remains weak and never hits the spot. Thai chai is much better IMO.
This blend does not have as much apple flavor as I had hoped. The chai blend is wonderfully spicy, but drowns out the sweetness of the apple.
A warm and comforting tea! And such a delicious aroma!
