Nice juicy cup of apple tea with comforting chai spices. I steeped it extra long to get the full flavor and did not get any more bitterness. Really good seasonal tea. I love autumn!

I LOVE! Chai tea, however I am not in love with this one. I wanted to love it, and had high hopes but no matter how I brewed it, it just didn't taste the way I was hoping it would. I tried one scoop of tea leaves, that seemed too weak, then I tried four scoops, that was too strong, then I stepped again the tea leaves that were in the ingenuiTEA device, and none of them tasted quite right. Expecting that I would like this one I bought a big bag of it, and now I've regret that decision. I'll eventually use it but I'm going to have to blend it with something else to finish it.

One of our favorites! This smells and tastes like apple pie to me, I usually add a little extra vanilla for a pie + ice cream flavor!

Spiced Apple Chai is a surprise in every cup. The chai blend varies from infusion to infusion sometimes seeming heavier on clove other times cinnamon etc. but always with a lovely subtle apple aroma and flavor to carry it forward. I think I prefer Spiced Apple Chai in blends, but I wouldn't turn down a cuppa either.

Love this tea! The spices are a little strong, so I tend to steep it for exactly 3 minutes, and I use a little more water to tea ratio than I usually do, but those tiny adjustments make it a lovely cup of soothing chai tea.

This is one of the teas I regularly return to during the week. I am trying to limit caffeine to mornings so it is a nice pick-me-up, especially on a cold winter day. The flavours are nicely balanced and the chai isn’t too strong. I always use sweetener and almond milk.

This tea has wonderful, fruity flavor. I like to drink it in the afternoon.

When I opened the packet and took a sniff, I wasn’t too sure about it, but after steeping for 5 minutes and allowing it to cool for about 3 minutes before tasting, I changed my mind. It reminds me of when we used to make our own mulled apple cider with mulling spices. This tea has a nice, very flavorful, and smooth taste, and it’s great, especially in the fall and winter months.

A pleasant, mild chai with a delicious hint of apple. Excellent tea with all the flavors of fall. I drank this one straight but would love to try with milk and sugar.

I tried this take on a masala Chai and it just wasn't good to me

This was a wonderfully tasty, fruity tea. The apple flavor is fragrant and forward, with the spice of the chai not far behind

Not sure if my Communitea sample was unbalanced or if this tea just wasn't to my taste. Flavor was very cinnamon and ginger heavy with slight hint of apple.

Not my favorite chai. The apple notes are very strong, but there is a bitterness to the black tea and the spices are hidden under it. To be fair to do not like to add sweeteners to my tea, so if you like to add honey to your tea and like hot apple cider this is likely the tea for you.

I quite liked this one! Apple comes through strongly but even though the spices are light they are still noticeable- makes me think of apple pie.

2022-02-12 Update: Apple and spices were on the nose as we opened the packet. A pop in the steeping basket for 5 minutes at 212ºF created a similarly burnt orange-colored tea.
Dry apple cider, with clove and cinnamon, were present just as before. Really nice and strong spices this time around. Reminds us of autumn... yum!

2021-02-08 CommuniTEA Review:
Today's CommuniTEA packet contained a fragrant blend of Spiced Apple Chai. Cinnamon and ginger scents permeated the area after opening it. Steeping as recommended, 212ºF for 5 minutes created a tea with a medium reddish-orange hue.

The brewed tea smelled strongly of apples and cinnamon, similar to a spiced cider. The initial flavor was one of dry cider, with a tingly cinnamon afterglow. The black tea was very smooth and mellow for a blend that was steeped the full 5 minutes with boiling water. So much so, that it seemed as if it might not stand up to cream. Since we were out of cream, we didn't get to test this so no problems there. The apple flavors are light and fruity but without much sweetness, giving this blend a dry overall flavor. The cardamom seems rather hidden in the mix, sitting behind the ginger, cinnamon and woody clove flavors. The mouthfeel is smooth but with zings from the ginger and cinnamon that tingle the tongue. The black tea isn't too strong, and reveals itself in the ever so slight astringency before the cinnamon tingle takes over.

If you're looking for a nice light and mellow tea with dry apple cider flavors, this one delivers. Adding a bit of honey brought it closer to a sweet apple cider, while still remaining something uniquely different. Overall, a nice mild chai blend.

Really nice blend of apple and spices! The crispness of the apple doesn't get overwhelmed, and the warm spices make for a very cozy drink.

Update 2/12/22 CommuniTEA: This tea is still great. Today this tea is more reminiscent of an apple pie. There is a creamy sweet flavor with the apple chai spices that blend together splendidly. This is sweeter than I remember but still delicious. It feels like I need to go apple picking though.

Original: I thoroughly enjoyed this tea. The juicy apple mixed with the spices was wonderful.

Feb 8, 2021- I really wanted to love this, but found it to be ok. I may have to revisit this in the fall. Thinking it may be better steeped into actual apple cider. It has potential.
UPDATE- Wow! This is so much better than I remember. Maybe my packet was lacking last time. I added a star today. The flavors were more present today and made for a great cup of tea! Perfect example of why I am still participating in communiTEA after all this time...it's nice to revisit some teas.🍎

Tea has a wonderful fragrance. I think brewing at a lower temp would reduce any bitterness experienced. Was much better with a touch of cream and sweetener.

One of my favorite fall teas. It's dark, smooth spices elicit a mouthwatering response that leaves me wanting more just in time for the zesty, apple finish. Great for a morning wake up to the ol' taste buds.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. This is OK, but I like Adagio's other chai teas a lot better. I'm not fond of the apple flavour in this blend, but that's just me. I know others respond differently. I do think it tastes better with soymilk.

Loved it! This would be perfect for breezy fall days, but I really enjoyed this on a chilly February morning. The spices are absolutely perfect, though I do wish it had a stronger apple flavor. I’m still adding this to my wishlist!

A deliciously spiced Johnny Appleseed tea! The chai spices with an orange twist are in perfect harmony with a nice apple flavor in this blend. The taste is much like a warm and spicy apple cider when hot. A terrific fall flavor, so good in winter too and an easy sipper.

My Ct packet had 4 g/ 2 ⅓ tsp of all ingredients with a delightful spicy and tangy apple scent. I brewed 14 oz. at 204*F for 5 min. The liquor had a cloudy orange/caramel color. No bitterness was detected from the black tea base despite the longer brew time. The spice flavors cover any astringency or strong tannic taste nicely while allowing the apple flavor to shine through well. A resteep was milder and a chilled portion had the yummy taste of a cold spiced cider. A sweetener add brought out more of the chai spices and apple flavor for a wonderful friendly fruity chai, delicious hot or cold!

Spiced Apple Chai - followed the 5 minute steeping time and still felt the flavor was weak. I would have like a much stronger apple taste for personal preference. The spices mixed well, and were not over powering, just not one that I'd be reaching for (and I do love apple cider!).

I’m not a huge chai fan, but this is one of my favorites in the Adagio portfolio along with Raja Oolong Chai. It reminds me of drinking a spicy apple cider and I’m down with that! All the wonderful spices come through–it’s a cinnamon and clove party! In my opinion, this one needs a LOT of sweetener to let the flavors shine, so don’t be shy about putting a wee bit more sugar in your cup! This would be a lovely fall sip, but also went down well on this brisk February day. Happy Sipping!
