This is a lovely unique chai, very full of flavor and immediately bringing to mind cinnamon red hot candies. I want to try a stovetop preparation with this one, heating it slowly with milk and sugar.
The rich complexity of oolong tea lays a smooth foundation for a majestic cup, packed with savory spice notes and hypnotic aroma.

Blending Oolong with Chai creates a strong bold blend. It is a jolt to your morning senses and will definitely awake your brain. Not be drunk in the evening, unless that 15 page report needs to be completed before midnight.
Disappointed with how strong the cinnamon flavor is in this tea. Chai definitely has cinnamon, but it overpowers all other spice flavors in this tea.
Spicy, but mild at the same time. It's missing the bite of masala chai. I think its a good tea to get into chais if you're afraid of spice.
Well, if you were a fan on Teavanas’ Majarajah Chai mate combine this tea with Adagio’s Samurai Mate. OMG! It is perfect! Please, please try it!
Nice warm, spicy cup. It tastes very similar to Harney and Sons Hot Cinnamon Sunset. Kind of wondering if there is some added sweetener. 4 out of 5 because it tastes a little too sweet to me.
A perfect, spicy cup of tea. I enjoyed this blend so very much with a splash of milk and a little sugar, which brought out all the oolong and chai flavors.
My absolute, unequivocal, favorite tea! I love a strong spiced chai and this is exactly it. It works well hot but also makes a lovely chai latte with a shot of caramel and some cream. Highly recommend
I like that this omits cloves, but it also seems light on other essential chai spices, like ginger and cardamom and is heavy on cinnamon, a bit out of balance to me. So, I like it, but I doctor it up some to suit my preference. I'd def buy it again for home blends since I can't blend with it on the site - which is too bad.
I have never had a tea taste more like Big-Red gum in my life. Luckily, I like Big Red gum! Extremely strong, imagine it's great for when you've got a cold.
The smell when I opened the package was just heavenly. I found that a touch of honey really brought out the flavors of the tea when hot. I used the same leaves to make a second cup and it was still great. Adding it to my list of chai that I love.
I love this tea!! It’s very nice and has a smooth flavor.. The cinnamon in it smells great!!
This is my go-to chai, and I don't miss cream and sugar when I have it. I find at 212 the tea is a bit bitter, so I brewed it at 195 the next time and it was great. I've stuck with that temp, and haven't been disappointed since.
The best Oolong Chai I've had. A little more sweet then some Chai's, but it is really quite good.
My favorite of their chai teas, hard to describe but the flavor combination is incredible. I love it mixed with a bit of milk.
I was SO excited to try this after reading the comments. I love spice. I love oolong. My taste buds only picked up on cinnamon. It overpowered the other spices. Will try with frothed milk this winter.
This is an alright chai, but there are better options from adagio than this one. Both the masala chai, and pu erh is better in my opinion.
I think this has to be one of my favorite. We sampled around 8 from Adagio this last order and our entire family kept going back to this one. Warm, spicy deep orange colored elixir. I loved it sweetened with sugar, both straight and with caramel creamer. Absolutely delicious!
This doesn't taste as much like chai as some other recipes, at least to this American's palate. Who knows, might be authentic. It reminds me of Good Earth Sweet & Spicy tea, some similar flavors there. I mix this with Masala Chai to cut the cloves in the latter a bit, and add complexity.
If you love cinnamon, this tea is a great option! I really enjoyed the oolong pairing for a smooth finish.
This chai is amazing!! We get compliments every day- many say we have the best chai lattes in town… and they are correct!!
Yum! Just received it a couple of days ago and sitting here sipping on a cold, snowy morning. Absolutely delicious with lots of lovely spices This will definitely be a winter favorite.
Update: I’m absolutely addicted to this tea. It is such a calming treat, I want it every day. I use 2 tsp for a 12 oz brew and am able to get a second 12 oz brew out of that is almost as good as the first brew. Ordering more today!
I love Oolong teas this one has a wonderful and interesting style . We have enjoyed it and will be ordering more. The amount of tea you gat is amazing and at a very fair price
I'm a big fan of this sweet-spicy oolong. It's one of the few teas that I buy regularly in the 16oz size, yet it's always the first to disappear. My go-to tea.
This is one of my tried and true favorite teas of all time! It's such a zesty, spicy chai with good body to it that it satisfies all my needs in a chai tea. Mix it with Adagio's Samurai Maté and you have a match made in heaven! This was my first real favorite at Adagio and still to this day I'm always coming back for refills on my stash.
Absolutely divine! The warm chai spices provide beautiful aromatics and bite to the tounge. I love it with a few sugar rock crystals and a healthy splash of milk!
I couldn't taste the cinnamon, but it has a nice warm, spicy flavor. It's a very nice smooth cup of tea.
I tried all the Chai teas. This one was very good! I loved it so much! I will be purchasing this again
I really enjoyed this tea and so did my husband. I am a big fan of oolong and to find it in chai was a must have for me. Highly recommend it.
I wish I could enjoy this, but I don't think the chai mixes with the oolong well at all. It had odd overtones that put me well off it.
I found this tea to be very cinnamon forward. If one likes cinnamon, this tea is recommended, however if you want a more substantially spiced tea, pick another blend.
I did not care for this tea at all. It was okay. I won’t buy it again
The tea is okay, but quite heavy with the cinnamon flavor. Might be better to rename the blend.
A very nice Chai. The oolong mix works well and has a good amount of cinnamon up front
This is the best chai tea I've had in my life so far. It's extra spicy/cinnamony. I love it with coconut milk and sugar.
Nice, smooth oolong, kicked up with a burst of cinnamon fire. It's isn't a tea I reach for first, but on some mornings when I feel congested it really perks me up for the day.
What a great cinnamon spiced tea! I enjoyed this with a little cream. No sweetener needed. Raja Oolong chai was perfect hot! It was a cold Saturday morning and I enjoyed it so much I didn't have any left in my cup to pour over ice. I love the strong spicy teas from India! 5 min @212
A terrific flavored cinnamon tea! The dark oolong tea base, smooth and non astringent, allows this holiday spice to shine. Companion chai spices ginger, cloves and cardamom round out the warm cinnamon taste as background flavors. Chicory and cocoa nibs add a depth of flavor while peppercorns add a hint of black pepper taste at the finish.
My CT packet had 3 g/ 2 tsp of dark oolong leaves and a generous smattering of aromatic spicy bits including 2 black peppercorns. Brewed 12 oz. at 200*F, for 5 min. for a nice strong chai flavor. The liquor was a beautiful chestnut brown with some cloudiness from all the spices. A pleasant cinnamon scent wafted from the hot tea that had a strong cinnamon flavor upon first taste with no bitterness detected. A sweetener add boosted and elevated the spice flavors. A resteep of 6 oz.was mellower but tasty too. As a cinnamon fan, this warm spicy chai was a real treat for me!
This tea is too spicy and cinnamon-y for me but for those of you who like cinnamon I think you will love it. My husband likes it a lot!
I love chai tea and like to switch them up some. Although I prefer bolder flavor in general, I find the slightly subtler and milder flavor in this chai sometimes suits my mood. It has more cinnamon notes than clove, and the oolong base gives it a distinctively different set of notes to the tea. I sometimes have more trouble getting it the strength I want, as oolong teas can be more finicky than black. However, if you prefer cinnamon to clove or a lighter tea than the masala chai (which I love), definitely try this one!
Wow! Love the cinnamon here — strong and sweet — with the earthier tea and spices to ground it. This was immediately added to the wishlist.
Raja oolong chai presents a smoother take on chai than the usual black tea base. Although this blend is cinnamon forward, the spices are still well-balanced as I expect from a good chai, and this version is not as clove heavy as some of Adagio's other blends. The oolong gives this tea exceptional smoothness, but without the familiar astringency of a black tea base, occasional sips feel almost...hollow. For me, this also means it doesn't stand up well to the addition of milk. Though the blend makes a great cup of tea, I don't think it would yield itself to a a latte or even a traditional preparation.
I enjoyed this chai. Strongly noted the cinnamon. The cardamon and ginger were subtle. All blended well together. I added honey and drank cold which enhanced the flavors for me. Added to my wish list😊
Oh man. If you like Red Hots, you'll like this. But you can still get the aftertaste of all the other stuff under it. THIS is a delicious tea. 5 min at 212, bit of sugar.
Chai spice that is smooth and oh so cinnamon! I like my chai with sweetened condensed milk and this was no exception. Cinnamon candy and spice flavors made a tasty accent to a smooth oolong.
Full Communitea pouch steeped in 8oz purified drinking water @212F in an electric kettle for 5mins.
The dry tea smells fantastic! A strong sharp spice mix, cinnamon is very prominent.
After steeping, the tea mellows out but is still pleasant in smell.
The taste is definitely a conglomeration of cinnamon and cloves. The cinnamon, however, tickles the back of the throat. (in a good way!)
Overall, a nice and warm spiced oolong! If you like chai, there's a good chance you love this one!
I really enjoyed this. I was expecting to be too overwhelmed by the spice. I added some sweetener and a little milk. It was very good!
This is at the top of my favorite teas! I can't believe I haven't tried until my communiTEA sample. Delicious! Of course I had to add some honey and soy milk to bring this to a higher level.
Like many have said but it is very true, this is a delicious chai latte when you add a bit of sweetener and a touch of cream. It smelled heavenly when I opened the pouch and delightful as it steep. The process was wonderful from start to finish.
I had tried this tea before hot and did not like it. Today I tried it cold. I made it yesterday according to the directions and left it in the fridge overnight. It was delicious! This will be a great summer tea for me!
