The chicory is stronger than I expected, so the flavor and aroma of this tea is a little too smoky sweet for my tastes.
The rich complexity of oolong tea lays a smooth foundation for a majestic cup, packed with savory spice notes and hypnotic aroma.

The chicory is stronger than I expected, so the flavor and aroma of this tea is a little too smoky sweet for my tastes.
Really nice spiced flavor, but not too overpowering. I used it to make a masala chai, highly recommend!
This has a beautiful, rich flavor and no bitter after taste. I find that it helps to settle my stomach when I'm having a bad morning.
I bought this to try to fill the 'Maharaja oolong chai' hole in my heart that Teavana left. It does an okay job - it is just *very* cinnamon-forward. It's good to drink, but I don't think I'll try to keep this one on hand all the time like I used to with Teavana's.
Perfectly spicy and sweet. Also, if the name wasn't already a clue, you can steep this with an equal amount of Adagio's samurai mate to recreate the discontinued Teavana blend. One of my favorites.
Mix with Marsala chai to mimic the old Teavana chai
I normally love oolong but this is way too cinnamon-y. I think I just really don't like chicory.
The nose is mostly of cinnamon. On the palate, this tea is also strongly cinnamon but the other components including the cocoa nibs are playing a supporting role by giving a back end complexity that helps to round this tea out. Would be an excellent tea for the fall-time. Strongly reminiscent of apple pie and cinnamon rolls.
Don t get me wrong, I enjoyed this tea - but I don t think I d order it again unless I was hit by a massive cinnamon craving. That s because the cinnamon is so overwhelming that it s hard to pick up on any of the other flavors. It s a good choice if you re a major cinnamon fan, but not so much if you re looking to experience all the flavors typically present in chai. I think the blend might be better as a black tea, since the oolong is also completely overpowered by the cinnamon.
A superior Chai tea without too much cinnamon! This will be a staple for me!
I have been looking for a replacement for the Teavana Maharaja Chai Oolong and Samurai Chai Mate. When I got this I was hopeful but this blew me away!!!
Excellent tea. Drink two cups a day. New favorite tea! Highly recommended
This tea has a nice blend of flavors. I mixed it with White Ayurvedic tea for a warm winter blend.
My favourite by far. The taste I have been looking for.
This has a nice, nutty, spicy flavor to it. Add a touch of honey and a splash of cream and its perfect!
This tea is so complex and a warm delight everyday! I add honey. YUM!
I love this tea- it tastes like going to my favorite tea house!
Made into a latte, like getting kicked in the mouth with a steel toed boot made of cinnamon. Fantastic!
Cinnamon-y and warming to the core. Reminds me of sitting by a warm fire in the winter.
Best tea I've ever had hands down. I can drink with or without sweetener or milk.
I use this with samari chai to make my own holiday blend
Love this chai, it’s unlike any chai I’ve had. It’s super sweet without sugar, and smells amazing.
My all time favorite tea. I can drink this all day long.
So good after a long day. Spicy and soothing with hints of cocoa and lingering ginger. Yum.
I love reading reviews, thank you to those who said to mix this Chai with Marsala and samurai*It is a Wonderfully Perfect Chai! Lovely with almond or oat milk and honey. I didn’t like chai much until discovering this mix, now it’s gratefully enjoyed more often then any other adagio in our collection.
Like a spice in the winter time to warm things up. This was close but found i had to add sugar for best flavor.
Mixed a 2:1 ratio with cinnamon rooibos and what a great taste. The flavors are more more pronounced after it sits for about 30 min and cools down to warm not hot..
Brewed 212@4-1/2 min
Like many previous reviewers, this tea has a very strong cinnamon flavor along with the Ooolong Chai. It is also natrually sweet, so no honey or sweetners needed.
This chai has an unassuming sweetness from the cinnamon. Perfect for a cold day.
This is a great tea full of flavor and cinnamon. It isn't overwhelming and the tea is a powerful flavor.
I'm by no means a pro at preparing Chai. I like mine to be creamy and not too sweet, which means I can get a bit finicky about it, and I enjoy grinding my own spices to mix with milk and tea. This mix is nice, because the oolong isn't too bitter, but the use of cinnamon oil (instead of ground cinnamon) gives the tea an odor and flavor of Big Red chewing gum, or cinnamon schnapps. If you're looking for something pre-assembled, it's fine.
I really did not care for this. An oolong-based chai piqued my curiosity, but any oolong flavor profile is completely lost in the background of the overpowering cinnamon and chicory flavors. Neither my husband nor I enjoyed this tea at all, whether with milk or without.
I'd come into possession of a can of Teavana Chai and loved it. I'd been trying to find something similar, and this is it! This is the #1 tea in our house.
This tastes and smells like Christmas! This is my new favorite tea. It has an amazing bold cinnamon flavor and a sweetness that's just enough that I don't have to add sugar.
Wonderful cinnamon fragrance, but more of a subtle spice.
This is the only chai that is not a black tea that I’ve liked. It’s spicy and delicious.
A nicely spiced chai, the immediate smell is very cinnamon forward, though it drinks more evenly in flavor profile, the cinnamon is a nice background to the other elements in this tea. This is a nice oolong version of chai for sure.
I really loved the Masala Chai but this one is even better! My new favorite! The spice is just right
My newest, bestest flavour of tea. Add a few sugar crystals and POW! A flavourful delight. I have even had it as a cold tea and enjoy it that way also. Tastes like a cinnamon candy.
Just made myself a pot for the first time. This might be my new favorite. Probably the most comparable to that Samurai Chai Matte Maharaja Chai Oolang blend that Teavanna's used to have. It's good on its own or mixed with Fiery Cinnamon Spice.
This was an enjoyable well spiced cup! Give it a try if you like chai!
I am a fan of all chai and this one is delicious. It is heavier on the cinnamon, which makes for a nice change.
I absolutely love this tea, I will be ordering it again!
This is my favorite chai ever! Very strong cinnamon flavor.
Deliciously cinnamony and warming. It's the perfect tea for a winter afternoon.
Wow! What a rich, multifaceted gem of a chai! I prepared this tea by adding creamer and sugar. The fragrance was filled with spices-cinnamon and a touch of cardamom greeted me. At first sip, the cinnamon again pushed its way forward, warming and singing its praises. Then, as it cooled slightly, I was amazed to find that the backup singer hit her high note-cocoa nibs jumped to take center stage! This was a delightful blend, and will be joining my regular playlist!
A good chai. Adagio does chai very well. This is good with half n half and sweetener.
I got this tea for my mother for Christmas and she loves it. She's a huge fan of chai tea and spends a ton of money going to Starbucks and having them put cinnamon in her Chai. With this tea, she doesn't have to add any cinnamon.
It's very flavorful and you can smell it across the room. She definitely enjoyed it and is asking me to buy her some more.
Excellent Chai! Strong cinnamon flavor with subtle clove and cacao notes. This is now my favorite Chai tea!
This is my favorite Chai! I drink it every morning and the spicy blend is a great way to start the day.
My mother-in-law received this as a sample and they loved it. She saved the package to remind her which one to tell me to get her.
