Perfect tea when I want mint and chai taste is just right blend of each

3 min steep · 212°F

★★★★★

I'm normally not into minty teas but this one is really nice! The hojicha makes a nice foundation for the mint to sing and with a 2 minute brew at the appropriate green tea temp, it was the perfect level of mildly minty.

★★★☆☆

Ok. Not anything overly spicy or intense. More like a mild chai with a mint of mint. I think I’ll pass on this again. But it’s personal preference.

★★★★★

My daughter really loves this with some honey to help with a pesky cough! I like that it is a good chai that does not need cream.

★★★★☆

A very unique blend, but pretty good. The spearmint dominated the cup and I do wish the chai aspect of this tea was stronger, but overall, I enjoyed it.

★★★☆☆

Only OK. Green steep time isn't long enough for chai flavors. Mind isn't a great mix with chai either.

★★★★★

Love mint, and I love chai, so thought this would be a wonderful combination, and I was not disappointed! I love the spices used, especially the cardamom pods, and the tea itself is beautiful with all the different textures, shapes, and colors.

I thought this would be an interesting mix, and it is. I got this as a sample, and I probably won't buy more, but I loved trying it out. It's more on the mint than the Chai, and the use of green tea helps balance out the flavors, since both aromatic spices and mint go great with it.

Mint chai feels like something that shouldn't work, but I really enjoyed this blend. The mint is very invigorating and warm instead of cooling.

★★★★★

Mint and chai originally seemed like they would clash, to me, but actually they’re a great compliment for each other. This is smooth and perfectly blended so that the flavors meld and don’t clash.

★★★★★

As someone who loves mint tea and green tea, this blend is the ultimate crossover of flavors. The green cardamom pods absolutely make it. The overall flavor profile isn't overbearing, and no flavor dominates. The result is an earthy, deeply warm, brightly refreshing profile that invigorates and alerts the mind and soul.

With the holidays upon us and the stress that comes with it, you couldn't ask for a better tea to sooth and calm your nerves.

Minty taste ……..love the flavors ..…will get again

Glad I tried this! It's a nice refreshing take on masala chai. I tried it iced. Would definitely recommend this as a summer chai!

★★☆☆☆

Spearmint and hojicha were a nice combination and the dominant flavor. I couldn't taste the ginger and was not crazy about the black pepper.

Subtly spicy and earthy. A great option for some gentle caffeine in the morning.
Added benefit of having several ingredients that are great for balancing hormones.

★★★★☆

I like this tea. The cardamon is really nice in it. I like to brew the tea with a bit of sweet Cinnamon tea to make it a little sweeter.

★★★★★

Great when steeped hot with a noticeable but not overpowering mint flavor, steeped cold its too mild.

★★★★★

I'm very particular about my chai teas, but I love green tea and I love mint, so this is actually a nice blend of all three that I truly enjoy. It was a very relaxing tea, soothing with a hint of spicy. Perfect for when you need a moment to just sit with a cup o' tea.

★★★★★

Lots of combining flavors, mint and Chai, a little different but it is a good combination. I do love Chai flavor

★★★☆☆

If you like mint, you will be a fan of this. I didn't love this, and probably won't order again. It just wasn't for me.

★★★★☆

This is aggressively minty. I am a Chai fiend, but this is not something I would drink in my regular rotation. Right now, as I'm congested and feeling a cold coming on, it is refreshing.

★★★★☆

Good balance of spice and mint, can be tough to balance the steeping for the mint/spices/ and the green

★★★★★

Got this for free once with rewards and had to buy it again. It's one of my favorites. Great winter drink.

★★★☆☆

I love chai and I love mint so decided to give this a try. I wasn’t sure how the two flavors would combine. While I find the tea to be ok something tastes a little off.

Maybe it was my packet mix, or maybe based on others comments my expectations were too high but I was disappointed in this one. The mint was mild and the spices didn’t balance as I was expecting. CT 8/31/2023.

Chai spices were nowhere to be found in my CT packet today. The overall taste was a minty green. Maybe a larger sample would be more balanced. (185° for 3 minutes.)

CommuniTEA portion: 195 for 3 minutes. This was a fun surprise. I do love chai and mint and hojicha and somehow they all worked together. Would love to make this a latte next time or iced.

Spices can vary
Cinnamon brings scent and warm
Cloves hum winter cheer

Black pepper scream heat!
Hojicha exhales smoky breath
They blend with spearmint

Together they meld
A tea that leaves a warm glow
Each after sip, 'spice'

It had a nice mild mint in the tea. I was surprised at the taste.

This is a complex mix. Mint and chai... Interesting. 🤔I enjoyed without sweetener.

This was a bit strange. It didn't taste like chai to me but that is ok as I don't love chai. The spices didn't seem to meld well with the mint.

Toasty and minty, with a good spicy undertone. Kinda got camping vibes.

I received a sample of this awhile back, but never tried it. A green minty Chai didn't sound intriguing to me. Here we are and it's the tea today with CommuniTea. I steeped according to directions. It wasn't as minty as I thought it might be, the spices were the star of this blend. It was smooth and enjoyable but reminded me of a medicinal tea.

In the bag: All ingredients seem to be present.

On the nose: Mint with an earthy spice in the background. Sweet undertone.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Mild mint for most of the sip. A hint of peppery zest in the aftertaste. Understated natural sweetness supports from the background.

Opinion: A pleasant blend with an interesting combination of sweet mint and savory spice. There is a bit too much mint here for me to call this excellent, however.

Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 195 ℉. I didn't add sweetener since the blend was already naturally sweet.

Delicious and yummy blend of green tea, spearmint and chai flavors. Although the spearmint seems to have taken over a little.

I loved this tea! I wasn’t sure I’d like it with the hojicha base, but it’s a great flavor combination.

I surprisingly like this one as the whole is better than the sum of its parts. The mint works well with the chai and gives it a nice and refreshing taste. Good job Adagio.

So far, I've only tried this iced. I needed to add a splash of cream to tame it a bit, but it is delicious as an iced beverage. I'll have to try it hot as well.

8-15-2023 I've since blended this with other teas at home and it is excellent in blends. It's light in flavor when cold brewed, so I hot brew it when blending, and stick it in the fridge to chill. Still haven't tried it hot yet and I will update again once I do.

8-31-2023 This stuff is delicious hot too! I like blending it with Tiger Eye. Its a dessert-y, refreshingly minty, delight. I've bumped this from 4 stars to 5 stars because it seriously grows on you.

I've always enjoyed mint and green tea together, so I was sure the enjoy this blend. The spices add a nice warming touch to the cup. The spices don't overwhelm the tea or mint and are nicely balanced.

Who knew warming spices and cool mint. Great hot or cold. Low caffeine option. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTea August 2023 box

Between the cooling sensation of mint and the warmth generated from the spices, this spiced tea yields a cup that indeed promotes mindfulness. Cinnamon leads the sip while ginger leaves its characteristic zing on the back of the tongue. The spearmint comes through not as a flavor per se but as a cooling sensation that balances the warming spice notes. The other spices blend together with the toasty hojicha base to ground the dominant flavors in the cup. As one sips, cinnamon, cardamom, and spice blend together in an intoxicating aroma that calls to mind - don’t laugh - Christmas cookies. All this comes from an unsweetened cup. It would be interesting to see what the addition of sweetener would bring to the party. A second steep loses the mint, so the chai spices come through with more bite.

What I find most interesting about this tea is that it has many of the same or similar ingredients to some of Adagio’s wellness teas (Here’s looking at you, Speedy Recovery), and yet, this does not drink like a wellness tea. It’s much more pleasurable. I would be happy to reap the benefits of this tea well or ill. (3 minutes @ 190F)

This tea blend definitely enhances contemplation and peace. It has a perfect balance of chai, mint, and green tea flavors. I love cardamom so I smash the pods open with 2 spoons before adding them to the tea maker. I highly recommend. I steeped at 195 degrees for 3 minutes and added just a little raw honey for green tea.

I liked the mint taste but other than a hint of cinnamon, the major taste was pepper. I'd like to try it again.
