I like chai tea generally, and this one was pretty good, but perhaps a little oddly spiced. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, but it had slightly more bite and less sweetness than I have experienced with chai tea before.
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

I like chai tea generally, and this one was pretty good, but perhaps a little oddly spiced. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, but it had slightly more bite and less sweetness than I have experienced with chai tea before.
Definitely one of my favorite Chai teas, very nice flavor.
I often intentionally oversteep chai teas to strengthen the kick of the spice, and this masala chai did not disappoint on that front. As an unexpected bonus, I didn't taste any of the bitterness I'd expect from oversteeping the leaves. A very good tea overall, and one I'm sure to buy again.
Very rich tea with a nice spicy kick to it. perfect for any time except late at night due to caffeine in my opinion. A touch of creamer and or sugar sends this tea over the top. My favorite tea i have ever had. Cant wait to try more
Very good when prepared with soy milk or water. I recommend adding honey. The aroma is wonderful!
This is a very good tea. I had to fiddle around a bit with how I like to brew/sweeten it at first but now that I know how I like it, it is a favorite.
This chai has a very nice aroma and flavor.
Brewed it with milk and honey. This was my first chai and it was amazing! Perfectly spiced and not too strong. Definitely going to order more.
I love the flavor of the spices, but I find I often add an extra pinch of straight black tea to make that flavor a bit stronger.
This tea smells lovely in the bag and tastes good with some sugar and milk, but, if you will pardon the pun, it just wasn't my cup of tea. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of chai tea. My mom loved it though!
Chai and I have a mixed relationship and I was hoping that this would change my mind. Initially I was enjoyed the cup, but my stomach started to feel a bit upset after finishing it.
I don't like chai myself, but my wife likes this one a lot, and has been waiting for me to get more.
So creamy and clovey it is like pumpkin pie in a cup! Quality ingredients. Just perfect.
My favorite chai. Not too spicey, orange. Great in the afternoon with lots of milk.
I am a chai tea fanatic. Chai is my absolute favorite and I have tasted many different brands. I love the strong flavors of ginger, cinnamon, cardamon and cloves. This chai does not disappoint. I'm online now specifically to reorder and to get a larger size. Not sure yet, but I think this is my new favorite chai. Not overpowering in any one of the flavors. I make mine with water but I add a splash of half and half for a creamy latte taste. I will try the milk version like many of the other reviewers suggested. I am sure that it too will be just perfect.
I love the spice level on this tea. It doesn't overwhelm, but it's not non-existent either. My favorite purchase so far from Adagio
This is a fantastic blend. I prefer to make mine a more traditional way, boiling the leaves with milk and honey on the stove.
Nice mix of spiciness and black tea. Not overtly gingery or peppery, so if you're looking for that sort of thing, this might not be the chai for you.
Very enjoyable cup, yet I add a dash of red pepper for that lingering zing. The more milk the better. Honey is a perfect companion.
I bought this for a friend of mine and she says it's the best chai she's ever had.
My first chai tea I purchased from Adagio and it's great! It's a bit spicy, but smells amazing. Will definitely purchase more.
My 11 year old son loves Chai and is very picky about his food/drinks...his favorite until now has been Tazo. Adagio is his new fav!
This is a perfectly balanced spiced chai. I usually steep this in soy milk and soy creamer as a dessert drink. The depth of flavor is certainly something that should be experienced. I recommend this to all tea drinkers.
This was fantastic. It was great with just hot water, but even better when boiled in milk. Prepared that way, I thought it was better than chai tea lattes at coffee shops. You can definitely taste the spices, which I loved.
Good blend of flavors. Great for cold winter mornings.
Pretty good chai. Very full bodied and spicy. I do prefer the Vanilla Rooibos Chai though.
What a great tea. Definitely will be ordering more in the future.
Delightfully spicy. Could probably do with some milk to moderate the taste a bit. A good choice if you're fond of chai.
This is the perfect chai! The others that Adagio carries are really take it or leave it... but this is special! Perfect for the days I need a little extra kick. Awesome with cream and sugar or by itself. Serve really hot! I'm not a fan of this iced.
Love the full body flavours. Perfect for a cold wintery day.
This masala chai is perfectly good, though I've had better. It's not quite as rich as I'd like but it's still enjoyable, especially with a bit of milk and some cookies to dunk in it. :3
One of my favorites all-time. I drink it with milk and without, with sweetener and without. I like it best with a touch of sugar and some warmed almond milk. Very warming, and the individual spice notes are a lot clearer than some other chai teas I have had. You can easily pick out the ginger, cinnamon
Typical chai tea but it's pretty good with milk and sugar.
Wonderful spiciness makes it great with or without sweetener. Great tea for cold evenings.
If you are looking for a good chai, look no further. This stuff is legen...I hope you're not lactose in tolerate for the next part...Dary!
awesome! add honey and a splash of half and half to mine. also great iced. one of my favorites.
Enjoyed the masala chai...and buying this saves you the time and effort of making your own chai blend!
Yum, Yum, Yum. My favorite chai I have found online yet. It beats teavanas!
Fabulous chai! Great with a bit of sweetener (truvia for me) and a splash of milk.
My favorite of all the chai's. A bit heavy on the cinnamon.
This tea tasted terrible on it's own. It was bland (and I was generous with proportions), and almost tasted like the tea flavor and water flavor didn't mix well (like mixing nutmeg powder with hot water).
It was better when I made a pseudo-latte. Hence, this is good an an ingredient in other drinks/blends, but on it's own is nowhere near enjoyable.
A mild, warming Chai that uses (primarily) Ceylon, not Assam tea. Perfect for that cold, overcast mid to late winter morning (or afternoon). Here`s how I make it: Blend one part whole milk, one part filtered water in the appropriately sized pot. Add (stir in) 2 heaping teaspoons tea (per liquid cup). SLOWLY bring the mix to a steady (just shy of rolling) boil. Transfer to your ingenuiTEA (or similar). Let sit (brew) for 6 to 8 minutes. Strain and sweeten with a good quality honey to personal preference. Mild astringency with pleasing (and lasting) citrus overtones. 5 stars. (Though I can`t help but wonder what this might taste like with, say, a 50/50 mix of Ceylon and Assam.)
Not my favorite chai. Flavors could have been stronger.
I enjoyed this tea. It is quite refreshing, albeit not what I expected. Honestly, this is the first chai tea I've tried (I generally stick to green, white, black, oolong, etc), however this is what I noticed. Upon opening the bag, I was struck by, surprisingly, the smell of orange candy. The soft, gelatinous kind, perhaps laced with cinnamon. The brewed leaves smell different, howver
I am confused, as the package lists a different brew time than the website. Also, it takes so much tea to brew a pot, that it does not last very long.
This tea is great during the winter time. The spices remind me of Christmas and Madrigal dinners.
Good steeped as directed, but I would like to try steeping in hot milk to balance the peppery flavor.
Two teaspoons for a cup makes this classic standby very flavorful. I have tried adding milk, but it adds an unpleasant flavor, in my opinion, and counteracts the spices naturally found in the tea. Though I'm far from a purist, I do tend to sweeten my cup with some stevia.
This tea is a wonderful compliment to a tea time with friends!
This is good and very similar to the masala chai at our local Indian restaurant.
