Though I love ginger, I'm not quite a fan of chai tea, but I can't deny that this is a great one. I do find myself mixing in other things more than I do with other teas. I've found that an unsweetened apple juice is surprisingly good, but my favorite is to add some kola nut extract.

I found this tea to be strong, but when steeped a second time it was quite tasty.

Ok wow. Inside the bag, I was a little apprehensive at the strength of the clove smell, but all in all, it smelled very 'chai-y' and good. I brewed 2 min in half a cup of 212F water, then added half a cup of milk, turned the heat back on, and set the timer for 3 min (it says 5 min on the back of the bag for brewing time instead of the 7-10 stated here). The Masala Chai is quite lovely. The spices are nicely balanced. I thought it was spicier than the Spiced Apple Chai but not in an unpleasant way. I would give it a 4-5 stars without any sweeteners. Adding organic, raw honey really had a synergistic effect to the milk and the chai <3
Note: Sample bag only makes 5 cups if you brew using the recommended 2 tsp per cup.

A fairly solid Chai but it needs some Honey and Milk to really stand out.

This is a good chai to mix with other teas. You don't need a lot at all.
I will say this, though, I don't know about the rest of you but my sample bag was at least half cloves. Like, $5-$6 worth of cloves. So I don't know if Adagio is making their money back on this tea.

A very spicy blend, I like this best with lots of milk!

Meh. Nothing wrong with this tea, but not enough going right either.

My favorite chai tea, basically ever. Best when brewed on the stove with different spices and milk and sugar. Lovely especially on cold rainy days. You're supposed to let it simmer on the stove for a while, but a good ten minutes will be okay.

If you are looking for a proper masala chai, like the kind you can order in an Indian restaurant, look no further. Amazing stuff!
★★★★☆
I think the chai itself is not flavorful enough so I mix it with the cinnamon black tea and it tastes amazing.
★★★★☆
So delicious with milk and sugar. Just like a good cup in a coffee shop.

This is a pretty good chai. Not bitter, definitely not too spiced. I taste cloves more than anything. There's cinnamon in close second, and a minimal ginger note at the end. Too minimal, in fact. I'd have preferred a better balance. Still, this will be one of my morning teas.

Admittedly not my favorite, but still an excellent tea for warming up in the morning and kick-starting my day (especially on Mondays).

so far this is my favorite of the adaigo chai blends. very spicy and super flavorful. exactly what I want when I think 'chai'

This tea doesn't disappoint! I made it with warm soy milk and it turned out spicy and creamy! My favorite adagio tea (so far)!

Spicy and perfect with milk and honey. Will definitely be purchased again.

I am a huge chai drinker. It's my go to drink for just about everything. I've tried a hundred different variations on masala chai, and this one falls in the pleasant range.
It has more of a bite to it than smoothness. It is spicy and invigorating. I think it'd be perfect to brew directly in milk on the stove in the traditional fashion.
★★★★☆
It was a good cup of chai. I'm not 100% it's going to be the one that I stick with but it's a runner.

This is a lovely combination of tea and spice. Very cinnamon. My daughter asks me to make it for her when she gets home from school. She loves it, too.

I enjoyed the masala chai

Excellent chai mix with good spice notes and tea flavor.

This is either my second or third favorite chai from Adagio, but that is only because there are so many good ones. Masala is pleasantly spicy and is a good pick-me-up for tired mornings or slow afternoons. :) It has a lot of character and is totally delicious!

I love chai, and this one is my favorite. I especially love it with a hint of sweetner and creamer.
★★★★★
Mmm so easy to make chai lattes with this! It's so nice to have around the house- especially in fall! Smells so wonderful, and tastes just as great!

Spicy, sweet, smooth, hearty tea. What else could you ask for in a chai? It's spicy from the ginger without being overwhelmingly peppery (unlike Twining's chai, which tastes like black tea with black pepper, in my opinion), full of winter spice like cinnamon and clove without one flavor being dominant, and the black tea taste is still present. I've had a lot of chais, and while this is one of the best ones, I feel like it's still missing something. It's good, but it may be better when in a blend.

Absolutely delicious! Everything you could ever want from a cup of chai. Comforting and a little bit spicy. The blend on this is spot on.

This was my first Adagio tea and it is amazing. The warm, spicy smell reminds me of fall. With a little wildflower honey and some milk it was perfect.

My favorite spicy chai. I ice this in summer and drink it hot all winter.
★★★★★
My first chai tea experience. I used 2.4g of the tea in 6oz of 210 degree water and steeped for 5 minutes. I then mixed that with an equal amount of milk, added some sugar and voila- my first chai. It was delicious. Next time I think I'll use less milk and definitely whole milk or cream.

Perfect with some honey and milk. Warms me right up and the taste is of 'home', my favorite

One of the best chai teas that I've tried! Has a wonderful scent and the spices work very well with a bit of milk and sweetener added.

Love the spiciness! Going to try it with milk next time, like some of the other reviews suggested!

This tea is spicy and delicious, fairly perfect for when I need a kick in the pants to get motivated. Mixed with rooibos vanilla, it mellows nicely for a more relaxing cup.

This is amazing!! I'm so glad I tried it!! Its good plain, and with cream. I do like to add a bit of the dark sugar crystals or honey. Honey is especially good with this tea!!

This is the best Chai I've found. It has a full, rich, spicy flavor that is not diminished by the addition of milk and sugar. The tea is very forgiving with water temp and steep time. I've double the recommended time with no decline in richness and no bitterness.
★★★★★
Although this tea isn't very 'out of the ordinary' compared to the ingredients of other chai, it definitely is something special. It's spicy without being overpowering.

I made this tea as a latte and it was very good. There is something just a little off (too many cloves?) but overall it was good.

not the full body flavor I'd been hoping for. totally lacking in spices too.

Not a bad tea, just a bit too much cinnamon for my liking.

My reason for ordering from Adagio was to buy a better Chai tea than what I was getting in teabags at the store, and this definitely delivered. While initially surprised at its strength, once I figured out my brew preference it's become a delightful addition to my evenings. I drink mine with added Irish Cream
