I used to drink this through Teavana. I found it here and it has changed a bit in my opinion. This is one of my favorite tees has enough caffeine in it to keep me going and keep me alert and does it really make me shaky and the taste is just.
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

This is very similar to what I used to buy from Teavana
Loved this! Part of my first purchase with this company
Its not my favorite tea and not really my flavor but if you love teas that have a spicy taste to it then you would love this. The smell of the tea is strong with cinnamon and cloves. The taste of cinnamon is slightly overpowering and I suggest using a little honey with it to dampen that flavor a bit.
I really enjoy this as a replacement for my morning coffee. A nice, spicy tea.
I love this chai. I use one teaspoon of this blended with one teaspoon of the masala chai, per 12 oz of water for my perfect spicy blend.
Great tasting chai, I prefer to do 2 steeps and add 1 teaspoon cream and a bit of honey. Perfect! Very nice spicing level.
Decent chai, but wish it was stronger. I preferred the Raja Oolong Chai.
Delicious chai! This is my favorite type of chai mix and it is very flavorful and spicy. Cozy
Very clove & cardamom forward - the flavors are better (to me) when the tea has some creamer added to it. I use this tea when I'm at the ski area & I sip it throughout from my thermos. It's a good tea, just not as flavorful as the Raja Oolong chai.
A marvelous chai with just the right amount of spice. A wonderful tea to drink in the morning.
Oh My Goodness, is what this ANCIENT Old tea is... I LOVE IT and I know you will too Delicious 😋 and Calming
This is a warm, deep and sweeter chai! It’s always a delightful cup and best pick for a chai latte make!
My go-to cup of morning tea! I love it, been drinking it as my morning beverage now for about 3 months, and I don't see that changing. Even in the summer. A classic chai was just the right amount of spiciness. I like my tea strong, so I steep it for 10 to 15 minutes, at 215°. Then I added half and half, and about a teaspoon of honey. JTs night sound like blasphemy but, Sometimes I like to add flavored syrups as well, it goes well with a lot of different flavors, but brown sugar cinnamon is my favorite.
All the flavors of a traditional chai. This chai is a powerhouse of flavor and well balanced and very smooth 🤗 highly recommended!!!
Quite spicy, a little sweet, and takes milk well. A solid masala chai. Though it's spicy enough that I personally wouldn't want to drink it with spicy Indian food, since when I eat that I generally want a drink that will wash down the burn rather than adding to it.
Not a fan of this one. I like chia tea but this one was just too much for me.
Although I'm more of an Oolong fan, I do like an occassional Chai, and this one is perfect. The aroma fills the room with spiciness. Because of the higher caffeine content, I prefer it as an afternoon/ after lunch tea, especially after an Indian meal. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Chai.
perfect iced or hot. I love this gem. I like it iced best, it really has a nice cooling, pleasing feel.
This tea is great before even the first sip -- the smell is wonderful and anticipates a spicy taste. It doesn't have the sweetness of other chais, but it really warms you up.
Chai tea is by far my favorite and the Masala Chai reminds me of my favorite tea that Teavana discontinued. Glad I ordered this during February - its the perfect cup to warm up and study with🫖📑
This is absolutely the best loose chai i have ever found. Perfect balance of flavors and spices. Not too strong, just right for an everyday treat.
Great fall blend - an autumn staple to warm you up in colder months.
I've been drinking this tea for 15 years for a reason. Hits all the notes a chai should. Best enjoyed with milk and sugar.
Masala chai has a warm and aromatic aroma that invites you to relax and want to sip cup afer cup. The flavor is smooth and spicy, the Ceylon black tea base gives this blend a strong and satisfying flavor, while the cloves, ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon add a touch of heat and spice to this blend, creating a fiery balance of flavors.
Masala Chai is a go-to in our household. It is great on a lazy weekend morning. One thing I like about it in comparison to the other chais we have is the hit of ginger.
I like this chai with cream, but it's not as well balanced as some of other chais I've had, with the spiciness sometimes overpowering the other flavors.
Love the warming spices, and the smell. Good on its own, even better as a latte. It’s a great afternoon pick me up on cold days.
One of my favorite Chai teas to date. I actually bought the cold brew version and am excited to try it out.
Very spicy and delicious, this tea is a great substitute for when you don't feel like making chai yourself.
This is a great Chai on its own, but I use it as an additional spicy note in the Christmas Chai. I brew this very strong with 3 teaspoons of Chai in about 6-8 oz of water. I also add about 1 tablespoon each of half&half and honey.
Heavy on the cardamom. I chose this tea because I was looking for a replacement for Teavana's 'Oprah Chai,' which I absolutely loved but which is apparently no longer anywhere to be found. Some suggested this as an alternative. It is not anything like Oprah Chai, in my estimation, but does stand as a strong chai on its own. I'd recommend steeping in milk (like authentic chai) to balance out the very heavy spices. It isn't the 'spiciness' that turns me off to this, it's the imbalance of those spices when steeped in water. Of course, add sweetener and milk or cream, if desired.
I love this Chai and it is super yummy iced with cream.
This one has quickly become a favorite of mine, and one I’m constantly repurchasing to keep enough on hand. Not too heavy on the peppercorn or ginger like some chais, but still delicious, especially with a splash of cream and brown sugar.
Excellent chai. It goes with milk better than it goes on its own—the perfect choice for someone's first chai, or for those who prefer bitter blends. The cardamom is most present in terms of flavor. If you're not fond of cardamom, pass on this one. Thankfully, I adore cardamom :)
I highly recommend the Adagio Masala Chai to any tea lover, especially those who appreciate a well-crafted and flavorful chai blend. Whether you enjoy it hot or iced, this tea promises a delightful experience with its aromatic spices and robust black tea base. It's a perfect choice for cozy mornings, afternoon pick-me-ups, or anytime you crave a comforting and delicious cup of chai.
Soul warming and incredibly flavorful blend. Great to drink during the winter months for a cozy feeling.

This tea was not the best for me compared to Chocolate Chai. The main reason for this decision is the clove ingrediant overpowers all other flavors, so you mind as well just have a clove tea...
I've tried dozens of masala chais, but this loose leaf one is excellent. The flavor has plenty of spice and plenty of mellowness which is hard to explain.
Edit(I think 2017): I think they changed the formula. It used to be 2 Tbsp and mellow, now it is 1 Tbsp and feels as though it is a different ratio of ingredients.
Edit2 (2023): Over the years they have changed the formula, now it is severely lacking in cinnamon. I understand not having too much in the product, but I have to buy some sticks and crush them myself and blend it in. This stuff is nothing like when I ordered 8 years ago and gets progressively worse. I might be going to stash double spice now.
Great chai! Still love it, I alternate with my other favorites
A very nice masala chai! The spice level is there but not overwhelming. I could do with a bit more cardamom, but I love cardamom. I really like mixing this tea with other flavored teas. Or even other chais so that I can amp up the flavor a notch.
This has been my favorite along with the health benefits of drinking it . I love to add teaspoons of different flavors of creamer so good. I was a coffee drinker and this is all I drink now.
This is a really good, proper masala chai. It's heavy on the clove, which I like, but I know that's not for everyone. Would like a little sweetness or creaminess to balance the intensity of the cloves and ginger, but a little cream or honey or something could help that.
I love the spices in this tea. They taste like you make Chai with the frsh spices you just chopped.
Very spicy! I enjoy this a lot in the mornings with some milk and sugar. Personally I think it isn't rich or 'full' enough without the milk, its kind of harsh tasting. But adding the smallest bit of milk and simple syrup really helps.
This tea is good, but we like the Raja better for making Chai syrup for our lattes.
This is such a delicious and fall spiced Chai. So tasty!
A fairly typical appearance for a chai. Brews a fairly light color even using a heavy hand for the amount of tea. The flavor is mild for a chai, but what is there is pleasant. An addition of milk and sugar are of course needed for any chai IMHO. Ultimately I feel like this need a spice or two to punch it up and a stronger base tea. I little ginger and/or anise would be a fitting addition to get that punch. I'll definitely drink the rest of my sample, but doubt I'll reorder in the future.
I've bought this tea for my dad multiple times now. He loves it and goes through it quickly despite not previously drinking tea often. He has asked for it for Christmas again!
