Got it for a friend who's a lover of masala teas. Heard no complaints from her yet, so I suppose she liked it! Thanks, Adagio!
'Masala' means 'blend of spices' and 'chai' is simply 'tea.' Inviting fragrance, invigorating flavor, warm finish.

Got it for a friend who's a lover of masala teas. Heard no complaints from her yet, so I suppose she liked it! Thanks, Adagio!
If I’m not going to have an authentic chai experience, this is my go-to for chai! I add a splash of Somrus Chai liqueur on chilly autumn nights.
This was a wonderful afternoon delight. Perfect on the rainy day while reading. I did add a little pumpkin spice to the tea as it was simmering. It reminds me of a trip to India where I was first introduced to Masala Chai.
This is a good masala chai. Spice flavors are strong and clear without being too overwhelming toward one particular spice. I like my masala chai hot spicy (as in pepper/ginger hot) and this one meets that need. The pieces in the mix are not too fine, so there's no 'grainy' feeling in the mouth after drinking. Overall a very good masala chai!
I absolutely love this tea! It is my favorite tea in the colder months because the spices are warm and fragrant. My kids love this tea with milk and honey. You can't go wrong with this one!
I mixed this with Raja Oolong Chai and Samurai Mate and its AMAZING! I was trying to find a similar match to a teavana blend that I loved so much. This is pretty close!
I love chai teas, especially during the winter and fall. I enjoy this tea with a small amount of local raw honey and a small bit of milk, but it’s delicious without anything added as well. It’s one tea I always keep stocked.
I am a big chai fan and this one doesn't disappoint. The flavor of cinnamon and clove come through beautifully. I add a splash of cream for a drink that is perfect on a crisp, cool autumn morning.
Since the recent tea shop closing in our neighborhood my wife no longer had access to her favorite tea. I took the chance on ordering it from Adagio and she loves it and it is at a great price. Score one for me too.
Fantastic Chai, my go to for the morning. My favorite Chai from Adogio. Pretty high caffeine content and is a great substitute for coffee.
Not my favorite chai by a long shot. Way too much clove for my taste, but if loads of clove is your jam, check it out.
Probably my favorite chai. I used to like Raja Oolong best, but over time the fiery cinnamon flavoring wore thin for my taste buds. And Masala can be more readily varied I think. And yes, I typically steep for 5 minutes only.
A wonderful warm chai, great alone hot or as a latte.
I also enjoy it as an iced tea. It's not overly heavy or bitter, truly delightful.
Hot chai is amongst my favorite variety of hot tea. I love the bold yet subtle flavor
Chai is my absolute favorite tea blend, and this one is fantastic. Quite spicy and toasty with a lot of caramel-like undertones
I love the masala chai tea! Its flavor is very nice to my tastebuds and the spices mix well together and it isn't overpowering on any one spice. I tend to steep it for 12 minutes (2 more than the recommended) to get maximum flavor.
This tea surprises me each time I drink it. It has different flavor profiles depending on the day. I'm going to enjoy this one for a long time to come.
This is the BEST Chai I have had in a long long time. My guests go'ga ga' over it.
Best of the best on Chai! All the flavors come through well. I steeped mine for the full 10 minutes
wonderful blend for cold rainy days or when you just need a little extra warmth. Spiced, warm, comforting.
I really like this tea! It tastes really balanced and is a great alternative for when I want chai flavor quickly.
I mix this with Samurai Mate and Raja Oolong Chai (as well as the rock sugar) as a replacement for the former Samurai/Maharaja chai. All together they have a great spice and flavor, but I double the scoops because I like my teas *strong*. My coworkers love the aroma it gives off as well which is a great plus :)
Delicious! I had never really had chai before and was somewhat skeptical of this blend, not really being familiar with this combination of spices, but luckily it was provided to me through a free sample and I loved it. It made my home smell quite nice and reminded me much of gingerbread... and now I'm finally getting myself some more <'3
I was hesitant to try this, never had chai before, but this one is very good. Warm flavors, easy to drink. Very pleased with this one.
This is a nice pleasant chai. I enjoy it throughout the year with a little bit of cream in it.
Does anyone have a suggestion for chai that doesn’t have so much clove?
I go back and forth between this and the Thai Chai, and I love them both, depending on my mood at the time.
One of my favorite chai teas. Strong flavors, in very nice balance. I enjoy it with almond milk and
a little sweetener.
This tea is smooth and spicy and tastes great with some oat milk. The cloves are a bit overpowering, but if you like cloves, you'll surely enjoy this tea!
A very nice and warming tea, the spiciness is just right
A nice spicy and flavorful tea. I very much enjoy it with some sugar and milk added which makes this tea one of my favorites to accompany a sweet treat.
This one was just a bit too much for he.. very flavorful .. just not my personal cup of tea but if you love chai. It’s a winner
A pleasant masala chai blend. Go for a full 5 minutes if you want to get the most spice flavor, or cut it down to 3 if you just want a hint of the spices.
Strong classic Chai tea. Clove and pepper flavors really come through. This tea is also nice to blend with other teas that need a bit of a kick of extra flavor. My favorite is to blend 3 t Thai Chai blend with 1t Masala Chai per one quart of tea. Add some rock sugar and oat milk for a lovely latte. Dessert in a cup!
Another great chai tea. I love the flavor. I am a fan of the Raja Oolong Chai and I would definitely recommend this tea also.
Masala chai is one of my favorite teas, but it's not my favorite tea on Adagio. I've tried this two ways: according to the directions on the sample packet I ordered, which is to use '1 heaping teaspoon per cup,' and then the way the description suggests, which is to use 2 teaspoons. The sample packet instructions resulted in tea that was a little bit too weak while, when drinking it on its own, the description instructions were a bit too strong. I imagine that the ideal probably lies somewhere between those two points if drinking it on its own, but the 2 teaspoon preparation worked perfectly for a dirty chai latte, which is what I use it for now! This is definitely a tea I'll keep on hand because of that.
I drink chai daily, and unfortunately I did not like this variety. The only note that comes through is clove. I opened the package and was taken aback by the strange smell but decided to brew it and see if I felt differently. The taste is slightly less strange, but not balanced. Because of the return process, I won't be returning it, but do feel like it is money wasted on a tea that I don't enjoy.
My go to for my morning chai. Love it chilled with some oat milk. The strong flavors wake me up and get me ready for my day.
I highly recommend. Very flavorful. I will be repurchasing soon.
Good strong spicy chai tea and I have a cup most mornings. Add a bit of stevia to sweeten and half and half for creamy goodness.
Warm, spicy, and rich flavor. This chai is by far the best tasting chai I have ever tried. I enthusiastically recommend you try Masala Chai if you are a chai fan. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
A good solid chai. Its great with some cream and honey.
Pretty good tea. Like it hot. Needed a little sweetener in my opinion. Not really sure how to write 100
I normally like chai, but this chai immediately was a chai that I did not like. After some investigation, I discocered that it contained ginger. I tried removing the ginger from the bled, but the flavor still was all I could taste.
If you do not like ginger like me, do not get this tea. Otherwise, it is good.
This is my everyday tea. Hot or cold, with cream or without, with rock sugar or without. Very versatile.
I love a good chai and this is up there on the list!
Delicious!! Perfect amount of spice! I enjoy this cup of tea with a little sweetener and a splash of cream.
Aww this chai remains my favorite of all the chais on this site! I use a little maple syrup and almond milk to make the perfect cup.
Absolutely delicious! I think this tea is best enjoyed with milk, brown sugar, and without a steeper. The bits of ginger that float to the top add a bit of extra flavor and are delightful to chew on.
Still the absolute best chai I have ever tried! The flavor holds up well even when the leaves are reused a second time - it's that strong. Forever fav!
