★★★★☆

I really enjoy this black tea. I have found I enjoy it more when I add a bit extra ginger and cinnamon to it!

I love chia teas and this one is particularly wonderful. I add a smidge of honey and a splash of milk — I find that this brings out the full flavor of the tea. I look forward to it each morning.

★★★★★

The only chai tea I've ever had that uses spice aggressively enough.
Black pepper notes are up front, followed by the more mellow bite we're familiar with.

Strong cinnamon flavor. Easy to drink and very good when mixed with the samurai mate blend.

Always a classic. Great taste that I found enjoyable during all seasons.

★★★☆☆

It is good. I just happen to like my chai with loads of cinnamon, ginger, clove, and vanilla. I tried it alone and with 1/2 regular vanilla coffee. I like it but will keep searching for my 'Oprah Chai' flavor from Starbucks.

★★★★★

Great traditional chai with great combination of flavors.

★★★★★

Bought this one for my son and he absolutely loves it. His favorite tea.

★★★★★

I love this! I boil this with milk, strain, and sweeten to taste.

★★★★★

This is my favorite chai. I've been buying it for over a year and its the closest to legit indian chai. Add a bit of milk and a bit of brown sugar and its great. I also drink it as is sometimes.

★★★★★

This is my afternoon 'pick me up' tea. It tastes similar to my morning combination tea but without a major caffeine fix. Adagio suggested it based on my other purchases. Love it.

★★★★★

A great chai. It does make me use a little sweetener. My mother loves this tea! I buy it for her in teabags.

★★★★☆

A good classic chai, perfect with brown sugar and a milk of your choice.

★★★★★

My father is from India, so I grew up drinking chai. This is the real deal--authentic and flavorful. Perfect amounts of cardamom, clove, and ginger complement the strong but smooth black tea. Drink it the traditional way--with sugar and milk--for best taste. Easy to drink cups and cups of it in one sitting.

Nice smooth taste. Not too spicy and very pleasant.

★★★☆☆

This is not the greatest chai I've ever had. I had to add milk--which is admittedly traditional but I don't care for it--in order to cancel the bitterness and actually taste the spices. It's got a gingery kick and warmth from the cinnamon; it's probably great for lattes, but it is definitely hard to drink on its own.

This chai is a nice blend of spice and natural sweetness. I personally feel it could have a bit more of a spiced kick to it, but if you want a more balanced chai this is perfect.

It pair well with a splash fatty milk, if that’s your “cup of tea,” so regular old whole milk or soy milk would be your best bet.

I'm drinking this tea right now and I'm in heaven. When Teavana went out of business I was devastated but Adagio, you have given me back that 'Aaaaaah!' feeling when drinking a great cup of tea. This is delicious!

As chais go, it's fine. (My problem is I have a very specific masala chai blend I got from India a few years ago stuck in my mind, and I end up comparing everything else to it.) For what it is, it's got a nice balance of flavour, but I think masala chai needs a little more spice (particularly some black pepper and fennel or star anise). I usually make it Indian-style, brewed in a pot on the stove with 2 parts water and 1 part milk, usually with some slices of fresh ginger and some sugar (jaggery adds a really nice caramelised, molassesy flavour, if you can get your hands on it). Taken black, it's pleasantly warm, it just wasn't quite what I was looking for.

Great tea for winter. Nice cinnamon flavor to keep you warm on those cold winter mornings.

★★★☆☆

Nice spicy tea for a cold winter day, but there are other chai teas I prefer. I drink it without sugar. If you like your tea sweet, you will want to add some.

★★★★★

Love this tea so much. Any tea that is spicy is a sure fire pleasure for me. This one has enough spice to comfort even on the chilliest of days.

Adagio's Masala Chai is one of the best. It is a favorite in our house with the adults and kids alike. We love the cinnamon and cloves in this warm feeling tea. It also smells wonderful as it is brewing.

This is the best tea I have had on the site. Very strong spice and clove flavors. Would recommend.

I bought this to make chai lattes by the pitcher, and I am pleasantly surprised by how well the tea works for it! I followed a recipe posted by another reviewer here. I make the tea and keep it in a plastic pitcher in my fridge and it keeps for a long time. When I want some, I pour about half a glass, add a couple tablespoons of brown sugar and I fill the rest with milk, stirring till the sugar disolves. Then I tweak it by adding more tea, sugar, or milk to get the ratio I like. The result is better than a lot of chai lattes I have had in cafes. I bought a large batch of the tea, but I would definitely buy again when I run out!

★★★★★

I like this Masala blend for warming up in winter and have ordered it a couple times now. I’m always skeptical of “natural cinnamon flavor,” since so many teas overdo it, and overly-concentrated cinnamon is all you can taste. Not the case with this one - I feel like it’s just enough.

The suggested brewing time of 5 minutes makes a tea mellow enough that you don’t need sugar, and that’s how I usually drink it. But to be really authentic, you should overbrew to the point of bitterness (more like 10 minutes), then add a splash of milk and a bit of sugar.

Absolutely my go to for chai and I can get 2 cups out of each brewed serving.

Great classic chai. I love making lattes out of this.

A pretty decent blend, but nothing to write home about compared to the other chais available

Adagio's Masala Chai is outstanding, and much better than the Teavana version. Follow the brewing directions carefully, and you'll see what I mean. By the way, its spicy taste is complemented perfectly by any kind of ginger cookie.

★★★★☆

It's a pretty solid Chai. Not as much peppery spiciness as I like personally, but still very good.

★★★☆☆

It was okay... Something was a bit overpowering...

★☆☆☆☆

I usually like chai, but this one made me actually gag. The aftertaste of the spices is too overwhelming. This tea is required to be drunk with milk and sugar, but that defeats the purpose of my tea consumption.

★★★★★

My favorite chai. Has a permanent place in our cupboard.

★★★★★

I bought this chai because I was missing my old roommate's chai that she made from India on the stove. This isn't quite the same as hers, but it scratches the itch enough for me. I don't add milk to it because I find milk in tea odd. The spices are robust and delicious.

★★★★★

I am from India, we brew masala chai by adding spices in steps and then the black tea. That being said, it came pretty close. Now, living in US I drink it before work thinking of my mum. She made chai for us to help stay alert while studying.

★★★★★

I don't care for this on its own, but with a little milk and maple syrup it transforms into the most delicious spiced chai I've ever tasted.

Love this! Add small amount rock sugar and great for afternoon

★★★☆☆

This is definitely a chai for the spice enthusiast. There's SO MUCH ginger in it. Which can be great... but is overpowering, when you're not ready for it.

★★★★★

Love this, always reliably good. I use double tea portion with whole milk powder and vanilla bean powder in near boiling water and it makes a perfect 'treat' type drink you might get from a shop.
