Somehow the green tea makes the chai tea taste gentler. The chai flavor is still present, just melded with non grassy green flavor. I like the flavor.
China green tea with a chakra warming spice combination. Clean, refreshing and fiery flavor, soothing finish. Ommm...

Great Chai! Perfect amount of spices to mix with semi delicate green tea.

5/29/21 Adagio really rocks this green blend - which is top notch! There is the lovely aroma of chai spices (ginger, cinnamon, clove. etc.) as well as a hint of orange flavor emanating from the CommuniTea packet as it opens. They steep into a cloudy golden ambrosia, a lovely drink for the gods. I love spicy teas - and this one is blended with a healthy green tea, so it has less caffeine! Honestly I am so happy to be drinking this refreshing green tea, with the hot ginger flavor on my tongue and a lovely hint of orange hitting the roof of my mouth, that I drink it all morning long. This needs no additions, because it is awesome as is, and it steeps at least 4 times, so it is a keeper. ( 3 mins @180ºF).
I really like this chai. The Masala Chai is my favorite, but this is second. I have this with half milk/half tea and stevia. I use double the amount of tea suggested so the flavor is stronger.
Tasty. I appreciate that this is a healthful green. I do add more cardamom. Just kind of my thing. Do not let this tea bag sit for too long in the hot water. Becomes far too pungeant.
I enjoyed the Green Chai tea, but instead of a teaspoon of tea per serving as recommended by Adagio, I used a heaping teaspoon to get more of a green tea flavor in the tea. When I did that, it was a very good tea and the chai ingredients did not overwhelm the green tea flavor.
classic masala chai spices with green tea, enjoyable.. but I like my chai's spice full, spicier
I’m a huge chai fan and this is one of my favorites.
The smooth earthiness of green tea blended with the gentle sizzle of chai--DEE-li-cious! Perfect for when I need a little pick-me-up in the evening but don't want the overpowering caffeine kick infused in a traditional black tea. I drizzled in a spoon-tip of acaia honey to infuse the final sip with a lightly sweet, vanilla essence.
This is a really nice tea. Good chai flavor with a green tea base. @adagioteas
It's not as strongly chai flavored as I expected. Seemed to be lacking something. I think some citrus flavor could improve this tea.
Lovely flavor, just wish it was a bit stronger like a traditional black chai. Still, a nice afternoon tea.
Very good on the balance between the green tea flavor and the spices and is awesome chilled.
Love the smell and taste of this tea. It is a great tea to have without sugar.
I find this chai pleasant as is without sweeter or milk though I do think it's more of a cinnamon orange green tea. When I'm in the mood for a more-chai like experience, I up the spice by adding the following for a single cup of tea: one small piece of broken cinnamon, one piece of dried ginger root, two allspice berries, one clove, and two pods' worth of cardamom seeds. That may sound like a lot of spice, but the tea steeps at a relatively low temperature for a short time to keep the tea from becoming bitter. (When making in this way, I also remove any orange peels in order to keep it all about the spices. Save them to boost the orange flavor elsewhere.) Again, no sugar or milk.
I love chai, and I am trying to get more into green tea and this was a perfect transitional choice for me. Best of both worlds. Edit: still my favorite green tea to drink
My two favorite teas rolled into one but it just wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad by any means, but it’s not for those who like a strong chai tea. It’s like having a weak chai with a hint of green tea. However, if you’re a green tea fan and trying to like chai then this might be a good starting point. Won’t toss it, but won’t order it again either.
Kind of creamy, moreso smooth. This tea blew me away. I like green teas and I enjoy different chai combinations and this was the best of both worlds.
Not overpowering by any means. A nice, subtle chair flavor.
Opening the bag I was met with wonderful scents from cinnamon, cardamom, and even a bit of clove. The wonderful scents were present when drinking the tea, but, perhaps because of the lower steeping temperature, the result was weak. May have to try this again at a slightly higher temperature.
This was a lovely chai. It was a bit milder than a black chai. I'd been looking for a green chai for a while.
it's green tea and it's chai ... what's not to like?! love it.
This is a very nice chai flavored green tea. I bought this and the Spiced green and they are very similar in flavoring except this one had cardamom in it. I think I like the Spiced green more but this is a heartier chai with the cardamom. Overall, it’s very good, not bitter and I like it best hot without anything added but it makes a very nice and mild chai latte.
Chai is one of the most misunderstood words in tea. In Hindi, Chai means 'Tea'. In India and other south Asian countries, they drink their tea with spices and milk. So to them that is tea. In America our 'Chai' is generally black tea with spices. Green tea, it seems, does not always go so well with the traditional 'Chai' spices, but this blend is excellent. I think the reason it works so well is because of the addition of orange peel and ginger. My wife picked up a my cup, and not knowing what was in it took a sip and said it was very good and wanted some of her own!
It’s as if salsa were a tea! Starting off with a tamer citrus taste, it’s easy to forget about the promised chili flavor. But oh - that after taste! Just when you thought all hopes of a spicer tea were lost, the drink swoops in with flavors of peppers and chilis to really wake you up!
I'm not a green tea lover, but I do love the Green Chai. Great aroma and great taste! One of my new favorites.
This is delicious, the cardamom and citrus really come forward in this tea. Reminds me of gingerbread!
It took a while to grow on me, but this tea really does have personality! A vibrantly spiced cup that doesn t skimp on the nicer ingredients.
Love this tea! Just the perfect blend, mild but flavorful. Makes me want to settle in front of the fire with a book.
My favorite hot tea, pleasantly spicy in a clean and grassy green tea. Add a pinch of cracked peppercorns before brewing for an extra kick. Also good coldbrewed, although the cardamom and clove are a little muted that way.
The flavor is wonderful. I love chai and this one has that nice green tea undertone to it that makes it unique.
This is a zesty and flavorful treat. I have been very impressed with the flavour. Very bright.
Really nice hit of cinnamon and cardamom. I'm not a big fan for green tea, but this one was really nice. I didn't get any orange or citrus flavor, even though there were several pieces of orange peel in my packet. I'd like it better if the citrus flavor was there.
Delicious. All the refreshing qualities of green tea with delicious chai spices. It did not need milk, but it was just as good with a little milk and sugar while hot. I'd love to try this iced and sweet, but it's fine in any form.
It's got a good green chai flavor! yummy wummy tasty
I'm not a huge fan of chai but I really like this one! I bucked the suggestions and took 1tsp straight (no milk, sweetener
Healthy green tea mildly flavored with chai spices--just lovely! My CommuniTea packet had 7 clove buds, which I thought might be too heavy for the green tea. So I picked out all but one. Steeped in 8oz of 180°F water x 3 minutes and sweetened with a drop of honey. The green tea base was a nice backdrop for the chai, without any grassiness noted. The chai spice was balanced and didn't overpower the green tea. A second steep was weaker, but still enjoyable.
Today's CommuniTea packet was green chai, made up of green tea, cinnamon, orange, ginger, cardamom, cloves and spice flavor. I was out of town today, so I put the chai in travel bottle bottle with water, and drank it after about two and a half hours. I already knew that I liked the chai, but I was interested in seeing how the bottle did. All in it worked well, and seems like a good option for trips.
This was a weird experience. The combination of green tea and chai spices threw me off. While it isnt bad, I didnt find it to be all that good either. I'll definitely be sticking to black tea as my base of choice for chai.
If one is looking for a lighter chai or one with a little less caffeine, this green chai would fit the bill. The tea has a nice spiciness with no one spice overpowering the others. They work together in harmony as they should in a good chai tea. The green tea base offers a little lift to the spices. Honey complements the tea well, and I found that even a little milk (added to the second steep) didn't taste that out of place (which is important to me as I like milk in my chai). With its lighter feel and lower steeping temperature, this green chai is more refreshing than its black tea counterpart and would make a good alternative in the warmer months. (3-4 minutes @ 175F)
I adore chai, its my favorite tea, and this was a really great chai! Plus its a green tea, so less caffeine!
A light and delicious chai that brews into a light honey color, and plays very well with cream and sugar. A spicey, warm and velvety cup that frankly tastes like a hug feels.
Yum that tea was super delicious I love regular chai but This chai was super good too!
After steeping this tea for 3 minutes, the flavor was what I expected from the name. I wish the cinnamon flavor was more present like how it smells. It was a bit more savory than I like and fairly weak like most other chais from Adagio. It was better as it cooled to warm rather than hot. Overall it's fine, just not something I'd buy. There are other, better chais to choose from.
This is a very nice, light and refreshing chai. It's not strong, and I agree with the other reviews that it doesn't hold up to milk. However, if you're looking for chai to sip straight, this would be the one to check out. The leaves smells very citrusy, but the orange takes a backseat to the spices once brewed. It's nicely balanced, with no one spice overpowering the others. I've always thought of chai as a winter drink, but this is nice when cooled and I can see this being pleasant to sip on a cool summer morning.
I'm a huge fan of green tea but not as much of a fan of chai. I prefer my green tea to be grassy and vegetal rather than spicy. This tea was gently spiced but there was a strong ginger flavor, which did blend well with the green tea. I think it was a well-blended tea, but it just didn't fit my preferred flavor profiles.
The warm scent of spices wafted out of the CommuniTea packet. The chai spices are nicely balanced and very up front as the green tea is light.
A nice milk chai. Good mix of spices. The green tea flavor gets a little lost in the spice for me, but that could be because I'm used to black chai's.
I think I might have found a new chai love!! I love the white chai tea and this green chai is climbing up my list as a fav! Love the spicy, warm chai flavor in a green base!
I love this different take on chai! Typically I have a difficult time finding green teas that hit the spot for me. I do have an easier time finding chai teas that I like. This blend hit the spot for me on both accounts. The spices were just right and I enjoyed the difference that the green tea brought to the chai from a typical black tea. Putting in an order for more.
