Green Chai has a great flavor with an excellent combination of spices.

Yummy. Great green tea. Adds a great taste with my other spices

3 min steep · 212°F

I really like chai tea, but wasn't really sure how the warm spices would mix with a light green tea. However they did mix fairly well, and and the green tea was able to bring out some of the brighter notes of the chai

I’m not a fan of green tea or chai so please don’t let my opinion dissuade you if you like either or both. The spices were mild enough and there was no grassiness in the green which is really the biggest reason that I steer clear of most green teas - so that was good! I finished the cup but it was mostly just a weak chai for me.

A delicious chai with warm spices paired with a friendly green tea. No grassiness or seaweedy taste from the soft and subtle green tea base. The chai spices complete with clove and cardamom are pleasantly balanced and are in the perfect amount to match the lightness of the green tea.. This is a lovely and easy to sip blend.

My Ct packet had 4 g/ 2 ¼ tsp of all ingredients with a pleasant spicy aroma. I brewed 16 oz.at 180*F for 3 min. The liquor had a pale golden color with a slight green hue and some cloudiness from the spices. No bitterness was detected. And the tea was pleasant to sip plain. A sweetener add, though, elevated the wonderful chai flavor to a new level of deliciousness. Chilled, the cold tea had a soft and mellow flavor to enjoy. I loved sipping this lighter version of chai today and will gladly add it to my growing collection of spicy favorites.

I love green tea. I love chai tea. Do I love them together? Yes, I do! The smell of the dried tea leaves is cloves and cinnamon, just with a lighter scent than a traditional black chai tea. I steeped my tea overnight in the fridge as usual, and this makes an excellent cup of iced tea. I found the chai taste to be not as strong as with a black tea base, so this would be a good 'beginner' chai for sometime to try to get used to the taste of this type of tea. Will definitely be buying this blend again!

The lightness of the green tea really allows the spices in this tea to shine. This is one of the more refreshing teas I've had recently. Very flavorful, but also light and unobtrusive.

The balance between the green tea and the spices in this mix is great. It was perhaps a bit heavy on the orange, but was still really good.

This is a wonderful chai with lovely spices blending beautifully with the green tea base. Sometimes the black tea chai blends are too aggressive, but this lighter green blend is in my cart now.

I am not usually a fan of Chai teas or ginger additions, but the flavors really blended well in this tea. It was delicious hot and cold! I love the natural apple sweetness I picked up from the cardamom and the gentle spicy kick from the clove and ginger. I want to order a big bag of this! 180 for 3 min.

Pretty Good. It's a nice spiced tea. If you like chia, you will most likely enjoy this one.

I should start this bay saying, I don’t really care for green tea nor do I enjoy most chai. So…this tea may have been doomed from the start. It was an interesting option, but not really to my taste.

★★★★☆

The green tea base produced a lighter taste without sacrificing the flavors associated with chai teas. The orange was a nice addition to the spice mix. Enjoyed without milk or sugar with the Communitea today.

chais are usually hit or miss for me, but this one was rather pleasant. as usual with chais, i tend to add milk and sweetener as i do think it helps mellow out the stronger spice flavors. the one caveat of this tea is towards the end, it definitely got a little overpowering but that was maybe my fault, since i allowed it to oversteep.

Very nice tea with lots of good spice tastes. It may seem too strong for some but I’m enjoying all the flavors.

This was a really nice tea. It tasted much more like a chai than a green tea, which I liked.

What a surprise! I didn't think green tea would mix well with chai spices, but it turns out that I loved this. I brewed it at 175 F to avoid potential bitterness from the green tea. The result was a gentle chai brew that was excellent without any additions. There's no need for soymilk (/cream/milk etc), which is often the case with other chais.

CommuniTEA review: I enjoyed this Green Chai. The use of green tea vs. black still provided body but a much more mellow and subtle flavor profile. Overall the aroma was spot on for a chai while the more subdued flavors were soothing and well balanced.

I love black chai teas, this green version just seemed a bit bland to me. But, I'm not a huge fan of green tea..if you are and want one with a hint of chai spice this might be perfect for you!

CommuniTEA Sample: A very nice, light chai that really hit the spot. It's much different than the strong, dark chais and there is no need for milk or sugar. A very good blend.

May 29, 2020- I love green teas, but I am new to chai teas. I really like the spices!
Update: Enjoying this tea as part of communiTEA and I added a star. I enjoyed my cup with Adagio's green tea honey and it really brought all the flavors together. It's spicy, but not in your face spicy.

This is a nice, light chai without any overbearing spice flavors like some chai's out there. I had enough in my CT pouch for a 16 ounce steep, and will try a second steep as I've seen suggested to see how it holds up! Just a splash of milk and honey elevates everything just right!

I enjoyed this! It's a tasty, aromatic chai without being overly spicy or astringent. I don't typically add sugar or milk/cream to my teas, so I don't often have them on hand, making my experience with chais very hit-or-miss. But this one's a hit all on it's own! It stood up well to a second steep, too.

Enjoying with the CommuniTEA today:

5/29/21 Review: Lots of strong cinnamon fragrance from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steep for about 3 mins at 185°F, I notice a nice mixture of spices (cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and ginger). When I take a sip, ginger is definitely the predominant flavor with some support from cinnamon and a hint of clove. I also notice some subtle earthiness from the green tea, but the spices are the star of this tea.

2/10/22 Update: Cinnamon fragrance is overwhelming from the dry ingredients and packet. But once steeped for 3 mins at 185° F, cinnamon is softened by the green tea and other spices and blends in well. A nice spicy finish lingers on the palate. Still a really good cup!

2022-02-10 Update: Tingly chai spices tickled my nostrils as I smelled today's packet. A 3 minute steep was a quick button press away from a nice hot light green cup of this Green Chai blend.

Spices were still light yet strong enough to give a nice zing to the finish. Green tea was light and gave a dry finish. Still the same tasty spiced green blend I remember from last year... yum!

2021-05-10 CommuniTEA Review:
Chai spices greeted my nose as I opened the packet. Steeping at 180° for 3 minutes was a simple white tea button press on the VelociTEA maker.

Chai spices were present throughout the sip, but still light enough to be very balanced with the green tea. The clove, cinnamon, and ginger were the most prominent spices, followed by a hint of cardamom which was actually somewhat detectable in the mix. The ginger, cinnamon and pepper zings were still strong enough to make me sneeze, but mellow enough to let the green tea shine through while the spice tingles lingered through the finish. A mild astringency is present alongside the tingly spice sensations.

This one is surprisingly well balanced, as some green chai teas have an overpowering spice level to outshine the tea. Plenty of spices are still packed into the cup, including some zesty spice fannings that settle at the bottom. I'm a fan of cardamom, and was surprised to see that the clove and other spices were subdued enough to allow it to remain detectable. This is a really well blended tea!

2/22- I decided to have the chai chilled this time. It was light last time I sampled it ,so I decided to have it cool. More flavor came through for me and it was more balanced. The clove, cinnamon and ginger mellowed. The cardamom and orange came through better as well as a spicy after taste zing. Yummy, nice twist on Chai tea.

5/21Green tea & Chai...who knew this would turn out so good? A nice light version of chai tea. The aroma of cloves and ginger were strong. The flavor was a balanced chai light. The tea was nice hot,but even better as an iced tea. All the flavors came through when it was chilled.

I LOVE chai, but I'm still testing the waters with green teas, and have so far remained ambivalent with them. That being said, the communiTEA is really bringing me around, one packet at a time. This morning's packet was beautifully aromatic, the spices fully front-and-center and ready to go!

The green tea provides a very light base for these flavors to play in - something to bring everyone together without distracting from their enticing interactions. Orange and ginger are natural friends in my cup, and the cardamom and clove seem like they were just meant to be together. Cinnamon was subtle and rounded everything out - all flavors noted and perfectly balanced!

I added a drizzle of honey to really make this tea shine, and after about half the cup as such, I tried it with cream as per Adagio's recommendation. I have to say, I think it works better without; I only added a bit, but felt like it washed out that delicate flavor from the green tea.
(3mins @ 180ºF w/honey, cream).

This is very good chai. Nice taste of spices without being overpowering. I usually drink red chai with some honey and lemon but this didn't need any of that. This was great as is or with a little milk added.

This tea smells and tastes nicely of oranges and cinnamon, with traces of other spices. There’s no grassy taste while the tea is hot. It didn’t last long enough to know what it tastes like as it cools.

I loved this one! Granted, I have been a fan of these flavors for forever. What I particularly loved is that I didn’t have to add cream to it like one needs to do with the black tea version.
