I enjoyed this tea a lot in my CommuniTea today. I didn’t I would enjoy it that much but I love the spicy/peppery flavor so much I added a bag to my cart to order. This one took me by surprise and I’m happy it did.

I enjoyed this tea a lot in my CommuniTea today. I didn’t I would enjoy it that much but I love the spicy/peppery flavor so much I added a bag to my cart to order. This one took me by surprise and I’m happy it did.
I was skeptical about fennel in a tea, but this tea made me a believer. I made a latte with mine and was very impressed. This is really such an interesting chai that I wouldn't have tried had it not been in the communitea box.
This was great steeped 5 min in a hot mug of milk. No sweetener needed!
This is nice. Reminds me of a Yogi Tea I used to drink a bunch (Ginger, I think) - ginger forward and obviously the turmeric flavor is there but not overwhelming. Nice hint of spice EAS as well. Would be curious to try this as a Golden milk latte, as that is something I do enjoy a lot!
Sweet Garam Masala spice aromas were noted in my communiTEA packet. All players were present. There was a tad less than a teaspoon of ingredients noted. Two teaspoons would have been more appropriate for a chai. So I increased the steep time to 7 minutes in hopes of intensifying the flavors. Since this was a chai, I warmed two tablespoons of half & half in the microwave and added it to 11 ozs of steeped tea. This gave me my normal 12 oz drink.
When hot, mild earthy mineral flavors and slightly bitter tastes from the turmeric were noted. Mild chai flavors were noted. A wee bit of sugar was added at this point.
When warm, moderate turmeric flavors continued. Moderate black pepper and ginger zings made themselves known. Mild chai flavors remained in the background.
An overall pleasant Garam Masala spice taste was noted at the end, just like it would as the finishing spice for an Indian curry. Pepper and ginger zings closed out the show. (7 mins @ 212ºF, 1/4 tsp sugar, 2 Tbls warmed half & half)
I positively loved this sample of tea in my communitea. The turmeric and spices really soothed my stomach! I am going to steep it longer next time, and will be purchasing a bigger bag.
This is a fantastic turmeric chai, very spicy with strong notes of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves and an earthy turmeric base. There's also some peppery spice from the peppercorns to warm it up even more. It's great on its own steeped in water for 5 minutes, and the flavor is also strong enough to hold up well to milk for a golden latte. My favorite way to prepare is to simmer a couple of heaping teaspoons in milk on the stove for 10 minutes to make a comforting and savory cup before bed.
Another new experience for me, courtesy of CommuniTea! I’ve never experienced turmeric in a tea, so I took the suggestion of several of the CommuniTea members and steamed the tea in 16 ounces of milk. (My packet held almost 2 teaspoons.) I should have maybe used 12. It was mild, but the flavors were all present. I did not find the pepper overwhelming as some others have reported, and as I had initially feared. I think the only flavor that seemed to be hiding was the fennel, and honestly I’m happy with that! I think the blend all played merrily together, each allowing the other to take a turn at shining. A touch of honey was the final touch to making this a delightful new taste experience!
I hated the flavor profile of tea, very likely that was caused by the tumeric. couldn't finish this sample from my communiTea box and it went straight down the drain of my sink after one sip.
I typically drink a nightly Turmeric latte’, as suggested by my doctor, since I have a rare form of MS. However for years, I have made my own Turmeric paste mostly due to turmeric teas being powering and unbalanced, but when in a pinch I always wanted to have a backup. Amazingly, several months ago, I purchased today’s tea, and adagio didn’t disappoint, meet my new backup! Today’s communiTea packet, had all flavors awaiting, much to my surprise. Once steeped they seemed wonderfully balanced, showing off a creamy Golden attire, while pieces of fennel secretly smoothed out that edge of ginger and peppery zing as you sipped.
I prepared this tea as I normally do, 1 cup (Three Tree unsweetened) vanilla almond milk, 1 1/2 teaspoons loose tea, steeped 8 mins @ 212. I added a touch of Elderberry honey and sprinkle of cinnamon, wala a calming yet beneficial latte’. Turmeric chai should be peppery, zingy and this tea is what I'm talking about. You can relish today’s tea for night & turmeric bliss for a daytime uplifting, stimulating tea. Yup, as you now know, the 1st Turmeric based tea approved as a backup, for my likings. Lol!
i liked Tumeric Bliss before so I thought I would like this but whew peppercorns and spice. I've had this before in tge Advent Calendar so I was a little sad to see this one again. I sampled this Tea again as part of the CommuniTEA January box and i still don't like it.
Wow! Delicious! A great turmeric golden milk when prepared with coconut milk! Nice and spicy...I will definitely be getting more of this one. Hopefully will see the positive benefits of turmeric and black pepper for my PsA!
Not a turmeric fan and it is extremely strong. Also the pepper and cloves overwhelmed everything else. Not something I would choose.
I received this tea through the CommuniTea. I normally love tumeric, but something was just off. I am going to try to save the cup, by splashing some milk...but I would not buy this on my own.
I did not like this tea at all. Got it as part of the CommuniTEA box. Peppery tasting chai. It was saved by adding milk, but I should have steeped it in milk instead of water as recommended by others.
Oh, wow! This is such interesting chai. Thank you for introducing me new thing. It came in the communiTEA. I made milk chai with this tea. Added some sugar. It makes yellow chai. Color is pretty and it tastes very good. 1. Steep two teaspoons of golden turmeric chai in just little bit of water for 3 mins. Then add one cup of milk. Warm up the tea and add some sugar for your preference.
I love Turmeric, but Fennel upsets my stomach, so unfortunately I was not able to fully enjoy this tea community packet tea.
Interesting blend. Not my usual tea but I know tumeric has many health benefits
I am not a fan of Tumeric. I tried very hard to like this tea. I even made myself finish the cup hoping it would grow on me. The cinnamon came through but just could not get past the turmeric.
I had this tea as part of the advent calendar this year and literally could not stop thinking about it. It had to have been my favorite of the whole bunch so I just had to come buy a full bag. Will definitely be trying it as a latte as well
Not a fan of turmeric, but this was one of the more tolerable turmeric teas I've had.
I enjoy this chai a lot. I own a big bag of it and recommend steeping in milk. I make a batch on Sunday night and chill it to have all week as 'golden milk.' It helps with my RA and Lupus side effects, especially in winter.
Nice especially after dinner for me when no caffeine is essential and Turmeric is also so healthy.
I'd love to have loved this as I'd like to add a turmeric tea to my collection and I usually enjoy Chai teas, but I just didn't like the taste. It was a spice overload that was too overpowering for me.
Had no idea what this would taste like but it is pleasant. Very bold ginger & spice flavor. I prefer to not let it steep too long as it gets bitter.
A little too spicy for me, decent flavor..turmeric bliss is better
I bought this blend because I wanted to make my own golden lattes using milk. I ended up liking the tea with water, but for a special treat add some sugar to the latte.
Update, as promised: Here are my directions for the optimal preparation of this tea for health purposes. Measure 3 grams of chai per 8 oz tea into an infuser basket. I drink 12 oz, so I use 4.5 grams. Add a teaspoon of fat (I use virgin coconut oil) to the bottom of an insulated mug. Set the infuser in the mug, then pour in boiling water just until the tea is covered, leaving room in the top. Steep for 1 hour(!). Pull the infuser basket, and pour more hot water through it to fill the mug the rest of the way, rinsing any oil that has stuck to the solids into the tea. Drink as-is, or add a splash of canned coconut milk and sweetener of your choice to taste. Taken late in the evening, this tisane will reduce inflammation and promote digestive ease overnight, and may improve the quality and duration of sleep.

I've been making my own turmeric chai infusions for a while now, because I found that supplementing with curcumins before bed helps me sleep more soundly. However, rolling my own is a bit labor-intensive, so when Adagio came out with a pre-mixed blend I hit 'add to cart' immediately. This is one of those teas that I like so much and drink so often that it merits a 16 oz purchase. The turmeric inclusions are perhaps a bit less effective than the dried sliced rhizomes I have in the cabinet, but I'm experimenting with a few things and will update my review once I've figured out how to maximize the potency.
A lovely chai with just the right amount of turmeric. I can enjoy my chai and reap the anti-inflammatory benefits of turmeric.
This has a really bold flavor and a nice kick from the ginger. I'm normally a black tea drinker, not really a fan of most herbal teas, but this is awesome.
Such a strong sharp flavor...a little goes a long way. Don't like to over sweeten tea, but this needs a lot of something to counteract the sharp flavor.
It has a very strong bitter taste to it. I would have to add a decent amount of honey and almond milk to it to make it palatable.
I purchased this as a gift for a friend who has a lot of health challenges. She loved the taste and also the therapeutic effect from the turmeric. :-)
This is great for all of the benefits of Turmeric and making golden milk however there is a little too much ginger in it for me. I like to mix it with Jump Start or Gaucho Mate to dull the spiciness of the ginger. I would definitely enjoy a version of this with a third less ginger!
So this chai has a very good spice component! It left my tongue tingling for a few minutes after drinking a cup. The ginger and cinnamon are very prevalent.
This is my go-to if I’m wanting a chai that’s also decaf.
Yum! This is nice and spicy and a change of pace from the other chai offerings.
Really good flavors but I can’t get them intense enough, no matter how long I steep this tea.
I got this tea to try, its a little too strong for me. But every now and then its a nice booster.
Very earthy and savory. The spices are good, but it's much more of a tumeric tea than it is a chai tea.
Nice cinnamon and spice flavor with a slight 'Indian spice' kicker. Personally, I don't *love* the turmeric, but it's interesting. Steeping 5 minutes makes it a little weak: I'd extend that to 10-30 minutes.
Great drink for recovery after a hard training day.
This is a very spicy tea. Works best with cream and sugar but be prepared for the heat of it's flavor.
This is one of my favorite teas from Adagio! It has a little heat from the pepper, but the benefits of this tea deserve that little kick at the end!
Earthy and spicy, but not in an overpowering way. I don't find the turmeric too forward in this blend, but that's okay.
I found this tea disappointing. It didn't really have a distinctive kick, and it wasn't particularly full-bodied or spicy.
Got this for my Wife who is very picky about her teas. She enjoyed the Chai notes, and found the balance between the Chia and the Turmeric very nice
I loved the turmeric bliss tea, and I love all of Adagio's chai teas, so when I saw this one, I knew I HAD to get it. I was not disappointed. It has that distinct turmeric taste and color, with just the right chai spiciness. I have never made a single cup of this - my household sees me take it off the tea shelf and asks me to make a whole pot, every time. Fully satisfied.
Interesting tea. I decided to try this for the purported health benefits, I'm still trying to decide what to mix with. I think it needs a little sweetness to balance the spice. It's okay on it's own but not a tea I will reach for very often.
This tea was ok. Honestly I like the cinnamons chai better. It does have a strong turmeric taste though and the ingredients look quality as always.
