Another great variety of Chai tea. This has become a staple flavor for our family.
Gaucho mate Chai is strong nutmeg flavor great from the Holidays
Very good, rebrews nicely for late day cold tea too!
Amazing! I didn't expect to like it, so I just bought a small sample of it. Now I'm wishing I bought a larger quantity. There's something about Maté that just makes your mind feel so clear. I don't like Yerba Maté, but I love this chai version!
I've tried a lot of the chais from adagio, looking for a more cost effective (and not artificially flavored) alternative to the maharaja/samurai blend from teavana. I haven't found one that I like better yet. But this is very good. I love mate, and this has a great amount of spice. I did notice that it was a little weak when steeped for 5 minutes, as directed on the packaging. I like it much better steeped for 6 minutes. It's actually funny what a difference it makes.
The spiciness of this one is just how I like my chai. The flavor of cloves is pretty dominant, but as it's one of my favorite tastes, I'm delighted! Next time, I'll try adding some milk. Looking forward to drinking this regularly on chilly winter mornings!
Having a hard time finding something I like between the chai and mate teas. Maybe just not my taste.
I LOVE this version of chai, with toasted mate instead of black tea! Good for days when I want a little less caffeine, or it's my second tea of the day. My favorite way to brew tea is in a simple pour over (made for coffee) at approx. 212 degrees Fahrenheit. For this tea, about double the recommended amount works for my pour over method.
If you like Mate you will LOVE this tea. It’s one of my new favorites.
Great tea enjoyed every cup terrible shipping history problems with every order.
This chai had a very good flavor but wasn't particularly unique tasting. I do like that the mate makes it a bit higher level of caffeine than black tea chai. I haven't tried it with milk and sugar like traditional chai, just black.
First off .. . . i did NOT expect to love this tea as much as I did.
Refresing, warming, and splendid . . .LIke a slap in the face! Without being rude about it~
Another favorite of mine! Rich bold chai spice flavor!
It's a personal thing, really, but I just prefer black to to mate when it comes to chai. The mate doesn't hold up to the bold spices like black tea. It's still a really warm and comforting tea, good for chilly fall days after you've been working outside.
I loved this one even more than I love my fingernails. It is the perfect combination of spices( not the Star Wars kind sadly, then it would be out of this world).
I love the spice blend on this. It has all the good things and nothing I dislike (like too much pepper)
I love this tea! It's my new morning go-to Fall tea
Didn't quite give the energy kick I was hoping for, but I also didn't crash later. I'd forgotten just how much I love a good mate tea as well.
Eh, it kinda made my tongue numb... Not into it. Had a thick texture, too much clove
This is my new favorite Mate. It replaced the Javavana and I have not looked back. It’s warmer and smoother and still has the caffeine to get my day started.
This was just ok. I was looking for a chai to replace my Teavana chai so I purchased a few about 4 different types from here. My search continues!!
This tea was so amazing! This is perfect as a holiday/winter tea or with a nice dessert after Thanksgiving.
My husband used to drink Teavana’s blend of Maharaja Chai oolong & Samurai Chai Maté every morning and was really upset when Starbucks gutted Teavana. We ordered every chai we could find online and tried to figure out the right blend. This tea, blended with Adagio’s Raja Oolong Chai is the perfect answer. Not only is it less expensive, it brews up less cloudy than the Teavanna concoction. It’s his go-to both hot and iced.
Just a basic chai. Was not spicy like I want a chai to be. I'll keep looking.
Not as biting as chai blends made with tea leaves. A balance of sweetness and spiciness.
I was afraid this chai would be really bitter or too heavily cinnamon-flavored, but it was quite lovely: very spicy, but also mildly earthy rather than bitter like the masala chai can be sometimes. I like it fine without milk or sugar, but I bet coconut milk would pair well. My SO preferred it with some sugar, so if you get this, try different things to find your preference.
Mixed some of this in with a couple black dragon pearls and added a pinch of sugar and milk- the perfect breakfast tea!
I love this. As others stated, you need to use more than suggested to get the full flavor
I love chai, and this chai is delicious and easy to drink. Love it!
One of my favorites. I love it. Glad I bought it.
This is a very strong chai! Too strong for my taste but I like my chai on the weak side - like thai chai.
Super spicy tastes but lacks some flavor. I would probably get it if it was mixed with another chai flavor
This is a great go to tea for those days when you want just a little more spice to your morning.
This is a toasted mate and masala chai blend, essentially. Masala chai is tasty, but I really have to be in the mood for it, personally. When I'm in the mood for it, this gives me the chai spice along with the energy and caffeine from the mate, so it's a wonderful combination.
Gorgeous smell and such a lovely kick to it. A great pick me up on cold rainy days.
followed other reviewer's advice and mixed this with chestnut ceylon and its so! good! haven't had it on its own because once i mixed it, that's all i wanted haha
I little underwhelming as compared to a more traditional chai, the spices are a nice mix though and the tea smells amazing.
i have been blending this tea with my other chai teas for layered flavour effect
As good if not better than the Teavana one. Great for mornings when I need to wake up fast.
Really enjoyed this combination. Spicy, sweet taste, not overwhelming.
This tea has a very pleasant spice to it. It's a very warm and comforting cup of tea.
This got me back into chai teas. The spices are clearly noted and oddly enough, mate in place of black tea only compliments them further. Highly recommendable!
Great for waking you up in the morning! I love the taste and the caffeine.
I love this tea. It tastes very similar to the teavana samurai chai tea. The roasted mate works well with the chai spice, excellent tea!
I love most spicy teas, but this one Im on the fence with this blend. I like the spice but the cardamon was overpowering. This is ok spice but has a sweet perfume aftertaste.
By far, my favorite tea. Awesome flavor and flagrance.
The spice is very sharp - the background a light - maybe steep longer and use less water
This is definitely my kind of tea! Spicy, but also well rounded. And well caffeinated! It s delicious! I m going to get more for sure.
Very good quality of taste and smell. The clove flavor is a bit overpowering.
This by far is my favorite tea! Even the smell of it is amazing to me...I find myself opening the jar I have it in just for a whiff :D I will say that it is a bit strong on the cloves, but I love them so it doesn't deter me one bit. I tried this in a sample pack and immediately ended up ordering a larger package on automated delivery!
