I steeped this CommuniTEA packet for 6 minutes. It smelled very strongly of cinnamon so I was a bit wary, I thought it might taste like drinking straight cinnamon but it's actually quite pleasant. There is a faint sweetness to it. The rooibos doesn't taste too woody in this one. It's a mildly sweet, spiced cinnamon drink that isn't too boring or overpowering on it's own. I think it would go great with another flavor added too though. I'd buy it again because I love cinnamon, but if you aren't a big fan this definitely is not for you.

A nice, spicy rooibos. If you're not a huge fan of rooibos but like spice this may work for you as the spice covered much of the rooibos flavor than many aren't a fan of. But that's coming from someone who originally likes rooibos - so take it as you will.
I thought the cinnamon was going to be overwhelming - red-hots level - but it really wasn't. It was prominent, yes, but not to an uncomfortable degree - but I did try it as a latte, so the milk could've had a hand in dimming it down a bit. The flavor may be sharper when drunk plain.
This would probably blend well with other teas.
Steeped 212F 7min.
I only used enough water to cover my steeper (probably 2-3 oz), then I added hot milk after steeping to make up the rest of the liquid.

Not the biggest fan of cinnamon which is very much present and overpowering here. I typically drink tea plain but think with a dash of honey and a kick more spice it'd be like red hots in a tea. It's not bad, however, and I think for those who do love cinnamon it'd be an easy favorite. The rooibos and saffron layer beneath go very nicely together.

Delicious! I love the strong cinnamon red hot flavor.

I have always enjoyed cinnamon as a secondary or complementary flavor in spiced teas and chai. The first time I had this, I was overwhelmed by the intensity and bite of the cinnamon, but loved how the aftertaste was so sweet and smooth. That dichotomy really drew me in and made this a favorite. I usually drink it with milk and monk fruit. I use about half as much sweetener as usual though, since this can become overly sweet to me. I also enjoy it blended with other teas to help round out the punch of cinnamon. This tea has quite the bold personality.

This is my very first foray into the CommuniTea land. I absolutely love this one. It is like apple pie in a cup. I’m going to have to take notes to remember all of the teas that I love!

5 minutes at 212 degrees. Tastes just like Red Hot Cinnamon candies. Strong sweet cinnamon taste that’s very polarizing.

I really liked this rooibos for a change. There was less clove and more cinnamon is this chai. I was surprised by Adagio's suggested honey. But tried it anyway and it played very well with the other flavors in this tea blend.

I don’t normally love red rooibos, but this tea tasted sweet and cinnamon-y without much woody and medicinal flavors! This is a pleasant rooibos tea that does not require added sugar, as it is sweet enough on its own. I wouldn’t really consider this a chai, but it was delicious nonetheless!

Cinnamon alert! If you don't like cinnamon don't drink this tea!
It was a very rich flavor of cinnamon and apples. I usually drink the communiteas without looking at what they are called and i really was surprised it was not an apple pie flavored tea. Really good but it does have a bit too much cinnamon for my taste. but when really hot but as it gets a little warm the cinnamon flavor is very strong.

CommuniTea review: Really this is just a red hots version of tea...very strong and overpowering. Not my cup of tea!

Very cinnamony; very sweet. I'm not sure if I'd call it a 'chai' in the traditional sense, as I only taste cinnamon, but it's a very nice cinnamon tea.

I wouldn't describe this as a chai, but it did come through with the cinnamon. It was also very sweet so no need for additional sweetener.

If I need to drink a bagged grocery store tea, my favorite choice is Newman’s Own Sweet Cinnamon. This reminded me of that tea in a lot of ways, with the double benefit of being robust enough to stand up to a second brew. It has a brighter cinnamon taste than many teas (described as spicy, but my spice scale is way off the charts so it registers as just sweet for me) and is one of the few I don’t feel needs a sweetener added to it. While this is listed as a chai, I’m not sure it lives up to that description, which is fine with me. I like the less complex profile in this cup. And best of all, it’s caffeine free and can be enjoyed any time of day!!

This Mother’s Day CommuniTEA packet will certainly wake you up if you’re not awake already. Holy Big Red gum smell, Batman! The rooibos within was a good first test for my IngenuiTEA 2 (no little specks of rooibos got through at all, not a single one!). As it steeped it seemed increasingly like I was about to drink a cup of pulverized and molten Red Hots. Yikes! Anxious knowing the fire within and the fact that it’s a “chai” (though the only spice is some aggressive cinnamon… does that alone really make a chai?), I added a big spoonful of rock sugar and WOW. This tasted exactly like Big Red gum liquefied. And I liked it! Normally I’d feel obliged to add some kind of creamer to a chai despite preferring my teas clear but I enjoyed the hot cinnamon gum concoction too much without. Adding sweetener made this exactly the right palatable balance for me. Let it linger on your tongue and the cinnamon does still have a spicy bite. And I must keep my distance from spicy. What a strange revelation.

The cinnamon flavor is very potent, so if you love cinnamon, this one is for you. I get a hint of honey flavor in the background. What I don't love is rooibos. Happy Sipping.

An interesting tea which reminds me of red gots in a way. Not a tea I’d reach for regularly but a decent sip.

Pretty cinnamon and woodsy scent with a lovely red brown color. I adore cinnamon, but I don’t think I like the rooibos in this. (5 mins @ 212°F)

I can definitely drink this but only around the holidays. I can take it with sugar on its own. After I tasted it, I had to latte it. Steep your tea, pour into cup with tablespoon sugar, add frothy milk, garnish with cinnamon sugar. I'm enjoying this after both if my daughter's passed sipping it. You will get a strong cinnamon smell when you open the packet. The liquid is an orangey red color. Thank you, Adagio for this Mother's Day gift.

212 degrees for 7 minutes. Well, if you don't like cinnamon, this ain't the tea for you. Remember those red hot candies we ate as kids? Imagine if it was a tea, maybe with a bit of woody rooibos thrown in for all that spiciness to rest on, and this is what you get.
So, I dont really think this should be called chai because of the absence of other spices, but if you want a caffeine free cinnamon tea, you found it!

Rooibos, Rooibos, Rooibos! The Rooibos is strong in this one for sure! I’m a big fan of teas with the cinnamon red hot flavor, and while this one tries to be that, it just falls short. The medicine-like flavor takes over and fights the cinnamon. It adds a very off flavor. It’s drinkable, but not enjoyable.

I love cinnamon and boy does this bring it! I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s almost too much cinnamon. I’m not usually a rooibos fan but the cinnamon added that punch that won me over. I like this for a cold winter day.

I never thought I'd say this about anything, ever, but this was too much cinnamon. It was like drinking liquefied cinnamon, with an occasional tinge of rooibos flavor. Maybe it hit me on the wrong day and I'd like it some other time, but for today, oof. Too much.

This is a very strong cinnamon taste. It reminds me of the Vietnamese Cinnamon that was all the craze at our gym quite a few years ago. I like rooibos and the taste of cinnamon. It doesn't seem to be a chai tea as I just taste cinnamon. Still a great cup.

I enjoyed this one! It has a nice cinnamon flavor with notes of apple! I’ve seen a few reviews that say it’s like red hots... I’ve never been a fan of red hots, but this tea was delicious! I didn’t think the cinnamon was overwhelming.

This is how tea can surprise you! Based on others reviews, I was SURE I was going to hate this one. I'm a spice weenie in all ways. But I LOVE it! It's just so good! The blast of melted red hots candy greets you as you open the bag. WOWZA! The spice and red hot taste is there while you sip but isn't so over the top. It's just right! I didn't try milk or sugar additions as I didn't think it needed it. I liked it plain. I also like red rooibos so didn't feel the need to mask any of that taste. Drink this and relive your candy days as a kid. Happy Sipping!

One whiff of the packet immediately brings to mind Red Hots cinnamon candy. As one who is not of fan of said candy or spicy cinnamon tea, this was not a yay for me. However, the flavors were strong and true so it isn't the tea, it's just my preference.

Tastes like cinnamon ret hots candy. If you like that, then you'll love this tea. I didn't get any apple flavor at all. I do like that this is a rooibos tea, which works nicely with the spicy cinnamon flavor.

Cinnamon apples explode out of my communiTEA packet this morning. Just a delightful smell. Best tea to have on this chilly, rainy Mother’s Day. The cinnamon is powerful without being over powering. The rooibos lends its woody flavor to the mix to help tone down the cinnamon. Apple sweetness lingers in the background and becomes more apparent as the cup cools. Half way through I added a touch of honey and maple cream liquor. Wow, was this amazing. Brought out the apple flavor even more. Tasted like fresh baked cinnamon apples with a touch of maple syrup. Just delicious. Will be adding this to my tea collection. Steeped for 5 mins at 212°

This is more like the caffeine-free version of fiery cinnamon spice tea than a chai. That’s OK with me, I love fiery cinnamon spice. I could do without the rooibos taste in the background though.

The cinnamon is very strong and hides the red roobios base almost entirely. This is a good thing for me because I love cinnamon and am not a big fan of red roobios. It doesn't really taste like a chai to me as cinnamon is the only spice I detected. It's still a nice tea.

Enjoying with the CommuniTEA today: Lots of strong cinnamon with a hint of medicinal rooibos from the dry ingredients and packet. Once Steeped for 5 minutes at 212°F, I noticed more strong cinnamon aroma from the cup. When I take a sip, cinnamon is definitely the star of this tea with a slight cinnamony bite on the finish.

I did not taste the other chai flavors in this tea, just the strong flavor of cinnamon. While I don’t have any problem with cinnamon as a spice/flavor, I have found that without any other flavors to balance it out it is just too overwhelming on its own to enjoy as a tea itself. I added a little sugar and milk to temper it down a bit and it was nice. But for me this is just not a tea I would enjoy repeated cups of.

I am giving this 5 starts and wish I had more. My throat has been sore and I am quickly on the way to losing my voice. I was happy to find cinnamon in my CommuniTEA packet today! I found a strong cinnamon flavor in this tea blend, but it was not a spicy cinnamon flavor. It was more like a sweet candy cinnamon flavor. I was actually wanting more spice 🔥 so I ordered this one and also ordered another cinnamon tea from Adagio. I really like this tea and think it would be perfect to serve hot or cold. I followed the instructions on the first step. I left the second steep in for 10 min to try and pick up as much cinnamon as possible. This would be a good tea for kids that like cinnamon candy to try. It did help to clear and sooth my throat.

11/1/2020: Usually I love chai blends but with this one the rooibos just seemed too overpowering. It has a strong woodsy herbal flavor and more of a peppery spice than the sweeter cinnamon flavor I was hoping for. Not really my cup of tea, but you might enjoy if you enjoy a strong rooibos with some spice.
5/9/2021 CommuniTEA update: I must have developed more of a taste for rooibos since the last time I tried this tea. Since trying it again I get a ton of sweet cinnamon blended with a smooth woody rooibos base. If you enjoy those two flavors then you will likely enjoy this tea, since it really doesn't have too much else going on. I wouldn't call it a spiced chai though; it is just a cinnamon herbal tea. But very nice if that is what you are looking for and I would purchase again to have on hand during the fall season.

I was not a fan of this tea. It does indeed taste like cinnamon, like those red hots candies. I don’t like those either. There was a sweetness and the back of the flavor that was unexpected, and almost cloying. I ended up committing tea crimes and added apple juice. Then I had what tasted like a fairly good spiced cider.

If you love the flavor of “RedHot” candy? You must at least try today’s communiTea! Steeping this cinnamon, chai and rooibos tea left me with a very flavorful, little bold yet warming cuppa tea on this chilly morning. I couldn’t drink this everyday but a nice comfy cup after a long long day helping peeps.

It took a few sips to adjust to the full throttle cinnamon taste. It was delicious, like an apple pie seasoned with cinnamon and the lid fell off the cinnamon jar and poured out on the pie. The rooibos combined well with the ingredients in this blend and made a very sweet strong flavored tea. If cinnamon is a spice you favor, this tea will satisfy that craving.
