Great spiced chocolate flavor. The smell makes me think it's sweeter than it is, but I don't miss the sweet when I take a sip.
Exotic Masala Chai flavors from India paired with dark chocolate. Soothing cocoa, zesty warmth, seamless texture.

Great spiced chocolate flavor. The smell makes me think it's sweeter than it is, but I don't miss the sweet when I take a sip.
I am a big fan of chais and always seeking a new fun blend. I was a bit disappointed in this blend. I think the chocolate had a bit of a medicinal taste. I was expecting something a bit sweeter. It was ok. But I wouldn't purchase again.
Needed sugar to be palatable. Rich flavor and spice.
I love how spicy this tea is!
I haven't tried it with honey yet, so I feel like I'm missing out a little on the chocolaty taste from the lack of sweetener. But, even without, it is so good!
Whoever gifted this to me is such a good 'Dealer'.
This was just okay. Both the chocolate and the spice flavors were a bit muted. When I drink chai, I like a punch in the mouth. This wasn't quite it. The Thai Chai is my favorite chai, for those who appreciate strong, bold flavors.
this tea is deeeeelicious! nice and chocolatey and great with milk and sugar! yum yum yum.
Its smells heavenly, and tastes even better! Not too chocolatey, not too chai-y, if that makes any sense? It's a perfect balance, and the sort of tea I can curl up with in front of the fireplace with my old hard cover Lord of the Rings!
Instead of Chocolate chai, this is more like chai with hints of chocolate. I prefer the apple chai and masala chai over this tea.
It was spicer than expected, but was still fabulous. Tasted great with a smidge of sugar and a bit of hazelnut creamer.
Good as a chai blend, however the chocolate side of it wasn't strong enough for me. I was hoping it would be sweeter.
Chocolate chai is extremely tasty with a splash of milk!
I'm not very fond of plain chai tea: usually, I find it tastes like a lot of spice and no flavor. With chocolate chai, the problem is lessened: with just a bit of milk, it tastes like a chocolate gingerbread tea, and with a little sugar, a nice dessert.
This was fantastic! Much better than I was expecting. It tasted a lot like a chocolate snicker-doodle, after adding a bit of sugar and milk. I'll certainly be ordering more of this sooN!
A spicy combination, like pumpkin pie spices mixed with chocolate.
This is much spicier than the chais I am used to. The chocolate flavor is not very strong. I mix this with a packet of hot chocolate to get a better chocolate flavor.
After being very very impressed by both masala and vanilla rooibos chai, this chai just didn't have the same character and bite as the others. It would be a great tea for using in blends, and tastes much much better than the chocolate flavoured black tea, but it is not so special on its own.
This isn't my favorite chai tea, but it's a wonderful dessert-y tea. Great with milk (obviously).
It has a nice chocolate flavor, and is pretty mild - I actually think it's a nicer blending tea than anything. Also improves when you add milk - best as a hot chocolate chai latte.
Chocolate Chai and Spiced Apple Chai are my favorite chai teas. They are spicy yet smooth. Not too strong either. Just right and full of flavor/aroma!
I think I just fell in love with this tea. I really enjoy blending it with Rooibos Vanilla Chai, a tiny bit of sugar and a bit of soy milk. It's a great early morning pick me up!
This is a delicious tea. It has nice mild chocolate notes. It's nicely complemented by about a teaspoon each of milk and sugar.
I think this tea has the perfect balance of chocolate and chai. It's flavorful enough to be great on its own, but I think it tastes even better with some warm milk, honey, and extra cinnamon.
Better than I remembered. I last tried this as part of the chai sampler. I wasn't impressed then, but I very much like it now. I must blend with this more often.
Its a great tea to start of my morning. The chocolate was a little weaker than I expected though.
Yuck! The clove flavors of the chai do not go with the really syrupy chocolate flavor.
The chocolate was definitely a present flavor, but I found Tiger's Eye to be stronger there. It's was tasty, though!
I really love chais, so I can't speak for anyone who doesn't, but this one of my favorites from Adagio.
To my surprise, the Chocolate Chai was really good. My wife does not drink tea at all, and when she tried it, she thought it tasted very good.
The cinnamon chocolate blend is smooth. It is a big plus that it is mixed with black tea, making it a superb tea. I also, made a chia latte with this tea, it was spectacular.
I used an automatic drip machine to make this tea.
Good sweet chocolate aroma. Really enjoyed the way it tasted although the chocolate flavor was a bit light. Great over all!
It's a good chai, but there isn't much chocolate flavour. However, it's delicious with cream and sugar or a little bit of cocoa powder.
More chai than chocolate, but that's fine, because you can always add another chocolate tea. This has just the right balance of spices to handling blending like that. I love using this as a component tea. the spices are just right.
I was surprised at how well the chocolate flavour comes through. Chai can be overpowering sometimes, but it wasn't the case here. It's not my favourite, but definitely very nice.
Glorious with cream and sugar - it's rich and creamy, and spicy enough to still be a chai. It doesn't really taste like 'chocolate', per se, but it's definitely different from straight chais, too.
Chocolaty and spicy. What's not to love, you guys?
It's great...at first. Just a little rich for me, and I'm a huge chocolate fan, and a huge chai fan. Guess it really is all just in the tastebuds. Hoping that trying it again will prove that I was wrong on first impression.
From bag to brew, the aroma changes quite drastically from chocolatey and sweet to surprisingly savory with spice. I would have expected it to smell and taste like chocolate, but the cinnamon is really forward with chocolate taking the backseat. I wasn't sure how much I would like this tea. It took a hot minute to get used to it, but once I did it became warming and comforting.
Lovely spice bite to it, just enough chocolate to really add to it instead of overpowering, I absolutely loved this stuff.
Loved it with a little cream and some sugar, without sugar it's a bit too bitter for me but I just like sweets :>
I really like this tea. A yummy chai, perfect for a a chilly night!
I was surprisingly impressed with this tea. The chocolate flavor is definitely present instead of something somewhat resembling an idea of chocolate. The flavors blend well. I'm definitely a fan of this one.
This is certainly a drinkable chai, but the chocolate notes are muted at best. I would actually say that the strongest flavor I noticed was cinnamon, not chocolate. Also, a word of warning: I bought a sample pouch and made the mistake of storing it next to a pouch of a relatively delicate black tea. By the next day, the other tea had a distinctly chai taste. either invest in proper tea storage jars, or make sure to keep this pouch separate from pouches of other teas.
Eh, it's a good chai, though I like the masala much better. The chocolate just competes with the spices a bit, and the two flavors don't marry as well as I thought they would. My friend loves this tea though, so take my review with a grain of salt.
To me it is a lot like spicy hot chocolate. I've been on a ginger kick lately so I added it to the tea and it was great! I can usually get 2-3 cups out of one serving, which is great if you follow the recommendation and use 2 teaspoons per serving.
I received this chai free as a part of the facebook posting offer, and can confidently say that I will be ordering this regularly. I mostly got it because I love chocolate and expected it to be a tasty tea to try just once (as i thought it would be quite heavy for a tea) but was pleasantly surprised that there were actually just hints of cocoa in the taste. A large portion of the chocolate comes from the aroma, which is absolutely amazing. The chai tastes very light and has a good amount of spice, perfect for desert and just as drinkable any time of day. 8/10
I love chai and I love chocolate, but I do not love this chocolate chai. It doesn't taste especially chocolaty to me, but it does have a tendency to become bitter. I want very much to like it, so I'll continue to experiment with it.
I barely got any notes of chocolate in this tea, but the chai itself was awesome. Not too spicy, but still cinnamon-y. Not sure I would bill it as chocolate-flavored, but still a really good cup of tea.
Just enough chocolate taste to not be overwhelming, but the chai taste was fantastic. Fell in love with it the second I tried it, and every review that said it was perfect with sugar and cream was definitely correct!
It's not as chocolate flavored as I expected, but it sure was a good cup of tea anyway. I actually ended up walking away from my cup for over an hour so I turned the remainder into a cup of iced tea -- it was a good iced tea as well! I think I actually preferred it in iced tea form overall.
I normally am not a huge fan of chai, but I decided to give this one a try - I'm really glad I did! The tea is chocolatey and spicy but not overpowering. Especially tasty with a bit of milk!
This was the first Adagio Tea I tried. Excellent!
