This tea has a very delicious aroma when opening, almost identical to molasses cookies. Sadly, when steeped the ginger root is the most outstanding flavor and the tea itself is very bitter. I could not drink it without cream and sugar. It resembles any other spicy chai once cream and sugar are added. The chocolate is not evident at all.
Yum yum yum. What else can I say? If you like chai and chocolate, this is your cup of tea.
This was very overwhelming of cinnamon. I got neither chai nor chocolate flavors at all. I was very disappointed.

I loved this tea! It has the great taste of chai, but the subtle sweetness of the chocolate takes away a bit of the spice and replaces it with a slight amount of sweet.
This was a little weaker than I was hoping, but it was still pretty nice with some milk.
This is a decent and very drinkable tea, but I was disappointed to find that neither the spice notes nor the chocolate notes are particularly strong.
The chocolate notes are mild and somewhat creamy, reminiscent of a glass of chocolate milk, and somewhat overpowered by the (still somewhat subtle) spice notes which are a bit less robust than I personally had hoped.
I should add, however, that chai is often paired with milk, which I don't usually keep in the house. Perhaps adding some milk to the tea will emphasize the chocolate and spice notes.
I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but this tea seems to have the aftertaste of a tootsie roll rather than a more pure cocoa flavor. It's not bad, it's just not really my thing.
I love this, especially now that it's getting colder out. I generally add a touch more cinnamon, though
Oh yeah. This one is a nice take on the masala chai. Not quite as spiced, but giving it that chocolate note makes it a completely different experience. Enjoy with some milk and sugar, and thank me later. Boom...and once again...boom.
Definitely one of my favorite blends of chai. I just wish I had the chance to jump on the chocolate hazelnut chai blend. Either way, the chocolate doesn't overpower the chai (in fact it's the opposite).
The chai is a nice balance to the chocolate. Normally I'm not one for chocolate tea but the spice balanced it out and made it a very nice seasonal drink.

Not my favorite...gave it a few tries, assuming it was an issue with my brewing, but it was bitter and harsh. Definitely better when paired with non-dairty milk and lots of sweetener.
To be honest I wasn't terribly impressed. It wasn't very strong. I brewed it for much longer than I normally do and still got very weak tea.
This is an amazingly delicious chai. You don't get the chocolate so much because there is so much spice, but it is very wonderful anyway. One of my favorites.

I hesitated when I saw the word chai, but jumped at the chocolate. This was a tasty surprise. I am not usually a fan of chai, as I find most too strongly spiced for my taste. However, this is a mildly spiced variety, and was quite scrumptious iced. I may try it as a latte, because I think this would be even better.
I wasn't so sure about it at first, but when I opened the bag the heavenly scent sent me down a pathway to happiness. This tea is perfect for an after dinner treat or any time of the day! Very glad I decided to give it a try!

I originally purchased Chocolate Chai hoping my family, who are not much for drinking tea, would become more excited about tea. Despite originally buying Chocolate Chai for my family, I discovered I loved it, and it is currently one of my favorite teas.

This wasn't my cup of tea (aha~ sorry). The smell is not exactly chocolate, and the taste is more subdued than the other chais. I'll try mixing it with the other chais, but overall the taste is just a little flat.
Warm and spicy and chocolatey, just like the description had me expecting! It's especially tasty with milk and sugar.
The chai base is great, but the super strong cinnamon totally overpowers any chocolatey taste that is supposed to be present.

To my surprise the balance of chocolate and tea and spice was spot on. Whomever came up with this tea is a genius. I think this might be the nectar of the gods. The chocolate is bittersweet so if you like milk chocolate drink this tea with sugar and milk/cream.

I did not like this tea at all. The chocolate undertones with chai did not mix well with me. I thought I would like it since I like chai and chocolate teas. It was a good thing I only ordered the sample.

Was expecting a more of a... bolder taste. I'm just accustomed to the chocolate chai at my local tea room, I suppose, but none the less this tea is still very delicious.
I didn't love this chai as much of the other chai teas, but my kids and husband really loved it.
So not as good as I remember from the sampler set, but still good. Awesome for fall, as one could tell by Starbucks releasing a Chocolate Chai for fall this year.
My first ever chocolate chai - I found it very nice - enjoyed the traditional chai spices mixed with the chocolate. It is a nice chai experience that for me would be a nice occasional treat. I would advise people to not expect it to taste like hot chocolate. It is definitely tea, but with a nice chocolate enhancement! Would make a great latte!
A very happy tea. There is a warm coziness about it. Very reminiscent of sitting around a fire on a cold winter's night.
this is alright but its barely more than chocolate tea. I don't get a real chai taste from it. Its mostly just chocolate tea with some cinnamon in it. Which tastes good, for sure. But it just isn't really a 'chai'
UPDATE: I tried a longer brewing time, this time brewing 5 mins instead of 3. This is much better and it allows for all the spices to get into the tea. Definitely a lot better.
At first I was skeptical, because the dry tea has a very strong smell that honestly isn't that great. But, once brewed it's very delicious, though the chocolate is very, very muted. It's great with or without milk.
It only really works if you mix it with other teas, but it is a good mix addition.
This is pretty tasty. I like it better than the regular chai. It adds just a bit of deep dark chocolate flavor, and goes perfectly with some cream and sugar.

Fantastic! very unique blend. The Peppermint gives it that brisk chill. But the Earl Grey soothes after. Really enjoyed it. Captured the feeling of the Wall perfectly.
Chocolate and chai is an interesting combination, but it works. Very tasty, especially with a teaspoon of honey and some milk.
I ordered a sample of this with a large bag of the spiced apple chai, now I wish I had reversed it. This one is so good, usually I prefer an extremely strong chai, but with the hint of chocolate blended in this, ones mellow flavor is perfect for relaxing with!
