I loved this tea with a bit of milk, you can taste the spice of the chai while also enjoying the chocolate flavor. This is a great blend!

★★★☆☆

It was not what I was expecting. It was bad but it did not come close to the chocolate chai that I can get at my local tea shop.

WOW! This one is BETTER than I anticipated. The balance of flavors is unparalleled. Chocolate Chai is one I will be back for again and again. Thanks for this one, Adagio!

Delicious! Some of the reviews here say it doesn't taste like real chocolate, but they're just probably unfamiliar with cocoa nibs. This chai is excellent!

★★★★☆

I got this tea expecting it to be a bit more chocolatey. While it did disappoint on that, it's one of the most flavorful teas I've ever tried.

★★★★☆

Good. I am getting into chai teas lately and this one was tasty.

★★★★★

Spicey and chocolaty, this is one of my favorite chais.

★★★☆☆

A bit of a disappointment because it was mostly cinnamon and a bit of ginger. Absolutely no cardamom as the description promises :(

★★★★★

Delicious and wonderful with a side of tea biscuits.

★★★☆☆

Not bad, I like chai to have a bit more of a bold spice. I added chocolate chip tea to give more of a chocolaty taste.

★★★★☆

At first, I thought this was just ok. It has really grown on me. I add just one or two shakes of ginger sugar and it's a nice, warm tea. I can see it being a good base for blends.

★★★★★

I loved it! You can really taste hints of chocolate.

★★★★★

One of my favourite teas that Adagio makes I can not stop drinking it. Chai and chocolate are the best combination!

★★★★☆

This was a fun tea. The spice flavors could have been stronger, but definitely an enjoyable cup with a little milk and agave to sweeten.

This tea smells divine! It nearly sent me into a chocolate-chai coma. It tastes even better than it smells, if you can believe that. Cream and sugar really bring out a spicy, cakes sweetness. The chocolate is fairly prominent and very satisfying. A very yummy cup.

★★☆☆☆

Didn't quite enjoy this one. The chocolate flavored tea just didn't mix with the spices. I think this could be quite enjoyable if it wasn't just chocolate flavoring added to a weak blend of spices.

★★★☆☆

Not terrible, not remarkable. Except for the apple chai, I generally feel that Adagio has some work to do when it comes to its chais - they're a bit bland, and I've actually added things like red peppercorns and cinnamon stick shavings to the tea to kick up the spice a notch. I mean, it's not bad. It just makes you feel like you haven't steeped the tea for long enough - and it isn't strong enough to boil black for ten minutes, strain, add milk, sweetener, etc. the way you would for real chai. It just gets overwhelmed. But on its own...well, it's not bad. But I won't be buying it again.

★★★★★

This has become the new favorite chai in the house. with milk and a bit of sugar, perfection. It is a bit softer than the traditional masala chai, since the addition of the chocolate balances it out a bit.

★★★★☆

Wonderful mix that my whole family is in love with. We love chai, and they love chocolate so it works out.

★★★★☆

I drink this nearly every morning with a little cream and sugar. The chocolate is an aromatic as opposed to a taste, which is what I prefer.

Update: after a while I switched back to English breakfast. the chai started to upset my tummy after drinking it every day.

★★★☆☆

I can't say this is one of my favorites, but it's not bad. I think the cinnamon in this blend is what really keeps it afloat. A bit of honey and it's an alright cup.

★★★★★

I loved the chocolate notes blended with the chai spices in this tea. For a special treat, add light cream and a little honey and it's like having tea for dessert!

★★★★☆

Good tea. Chocolate flavor is very subtle and the chai spice overpowers. The chai seems a bit too peppery.

★★★☆☆

I am not a big cinnamon fan, but I had a voucher for a free sample and decided to try this on a whim. If you like heavy cinnamon and heavy clove tones you will love this. Me, not so much. This was so strong in flavor it kinda burned. I gave it to a friend who really liked it, though.

★★★★★

Absolutely amazing. I had a feeling this would be a spicy and decadent tea, and I wasn't wrong! I tried it with just a little sweetener and was pleasantly surprised, and I'll definitely play around with it in blends to see what might soften it and bring out its richness a bit more. Still, this tea is divine.

★★★☆☆

i wasn't thrilled with the chocolate chai. it's a little sweet but i don't care much for the chocolate flavor

★★★★★

I love the smell of this chai and I love the taste of it too. This is one I will be ordering often.

Another favorite, I love the flavors, its just a perfect combo, reminds me a lot of Christmas!

★★★★★

Super tastey chocolate mixed with the spiced gingery chai. Splendid. Doesn't even need sugar.

★★☆☆☆

While the taste is not bad, it made me throat unbelievably dry, honey only made it worse.

★★★★☆

A slightly new take on a classic. The blend makes it so the chocolate is noticeable and able to sweeten up the tea, with the chai still being the main player.

★★★★★

I got this as a free sample and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It may sound a little strange, at first, but the tea combined with a hint of chocolate flavor makes for a unique and tasty cup of tea.

★★★☆☆

Not one of my favorites-- it was all right, but there was just a bit too much cinnamon for my taste.

★★★★★

This is an awesome tea. I love chocolate, but I am trying to lose weight. So this gives me a special treat!

★★★☆☆

I am not a huge fan of Chai teas, while this was no exception, it was better than many others.

★★★★★

I got this tea in a chai sampler, and left it alone forever because I thought I'd hate it. Wrong! The chocolate note reads as a deep and dusky richness that only magnifies the bold chai spices. Oh baby. Brew it up strong, and don't be afraid to add honey and your favorite creamy cream!

I really could taste the chocolate. The spices were also very nice. I'll be trying this one again.

★★★★☆

I do not like this tea as much as Thai Chai, but I will definitely buy it again. It could use a bit more chocolate flavor.

★★★★☆

A really good chai that isn't just chocolaty. There's a spice note in there too and it all comes together really well. Great with sugar and milk.

★★★★★

This is great on its own, but is even better with a little milk and honey, which really brings out the chocolate flavor.

★★★★★

My daughter loves this blend. She sips while doing homework.

★★★☆☆

I am personally not a big fan of this, but my friend whom I purchased it for loves it. To me, it is too bitter and dries my mouth out intensely, but he must taste something in it I don't.

★☆☆☆☆

I enjoyed the vanilla chai, and thought I'd give this one a try. Apparently it's not 'my cup of tea'.

★★★☆☆

The smell of this tea in the bag is like those gummy coke bottles. It's really interesting how the chocolate, cinnamon and ginger work together. I think it probably needs a little enhancing sugar and maybe even cream, but I'm always a fan of creamy chais. I think this would be really good in a blend, too. It's not quite as 'chai' tasting as I'd hoped, but it's definitely not a bad tea.

Wonderfully spicy and chocolatey. This is the first chocolate chai I've tried and love.

★★★★★

A great chocolate chai where they flavors really stand out. The last chocolate chai I had was in rooibos which masked both the chocolate and spice flavors.

★★★★☆

be careful not to steep too long, becomes bitter. Tastes great when allowed to cool a bit after steeping- I added a bit more ginger, and its perfect!

★★★★★

I requested the sample of this tea and it was wonderful! Loved the unexpected spice from it and loved the aroma!

A perfect blend of spice and chocolate. It is a very versatile tea. You can add a variety of creamers or other teas to it and have endless choices that are all very yummy. This is easily a tea that I would want to buy again.

Definitely my favorite. Good spiced flavor with a nice depth from the chocolate.
