It was not what I was expecting. It was bad but it did not come close to the chocolate chai that I can get at my local tea shop.

This tea smells divine! It nearly sent me into a chocolate-chai coma. It tastes even better than it smells, if you can believe that. Cream and sugar really bring out a spicy, cakes sweetness. The chocolate is fairly prominent and very satisfying. A very yummy cup.
Didn't quite enjoy this one. The chocolate flavored tea just didn't mix with the spices. I think this could be quite enjoyable if it wasn't just chocolate flavoring added to a weak blend of spices.
Not terrible, not remarkable. Except for the apple chai, I generally feel that Adagio has some work to do when it comes to its chais - they're a bit bland, and I've actually added things like red peppercorns and cinnamon stick shavings to the tea to kick up the spice a notch. I mean, it's not bad. It just makes you feel like you haven't steeped the tea for long enough - and it isn't strong enough to boil black for ten minutes, strain, add milk, sweetener, etc. the way you would for real chai. It just gets overwhelmed. But on its own...well, it's not bad. But I won't be buying it again.
This has become the new favorite chai in the house. with milk and a bit of sugar, perfection. It is a bit softer than the traditional masala chai, since the addition of the chocolate balances it out a bit.

I am not a big cinnamon fan, but I had a voucher for a free sample and decided to try this on a whim. If you like heavy cinnamon and heavy clove tones you will love this. Me, not so much. This was so strong in flavor it kinda burned. I gave it to a friend who really liked it, though.
Absolutely amazing. I had a feeling this would be a spicy and decadent tea, and I wasn't wrong! I tried it with just a little sweetener and was pleasantly surprised, and I'll definitely play around with it in blends to see what might soften it and bring out its richness a bit more. Still, this tea is divine.

I got this tea in a chai sampler, and left it alone forever because I thought I'd hate it. Wrong! The chocolate note reads as a deep and dusky richness that only magnifies the bold chai spices. Oh baby. Brew it up strong, and don't be afraid to add honey and your favorite creamy cream!

The smell of this tea in the bag is like those gummy coke bottles. It's really interesting how the chocolate, cinnamon and ginger work together. I think it probably needs a little enhancing sugar and maybe even cream, but I'm always a fan of creamy chais. I think this would be really good in a blend, too. It's not quite as 'chai' tasting as I'd hoped, but it's definitely not a bad tea.

be careful not to steep too long, becomes bitter. Tastes great when allowed to cool a bit after steeping- I added a bit more ginger, and its perfect!

A perfect blend of spice and chocolate. It is a very versatile tea. You can add a variety of creamers or other teas to it and have endless choices that are all very yummy. This is easily a tea that I would want to buy again.
