My boyfriend absolutely loves this tea! I prefer fruit flavoured teas more, but I still found this one to be very great.
Exotic Masala Chai flavors from India paired with dark chocolate. Soothing cocoa, zesty warmth, seamless texture.

My boyfriend absolutely loves this tea! I prefer fruit flavoured teas more, but I still found this one to be very great.
YUM. Got as a sample and enjoyed it -- like dessert in a cup!
Tasted like unsweetened baking chocolate, even after a teaspoon of rock sugar and then another of white sugar. Those additions made no difference. I also do not taste any spices. I resteeped and added 1 tsp. of samurai chai mate, but the taste did not improve the chocolate chai. This purchase was a sample, fortunately, so I'm glad I'm only out the $2.00. I will stop short of grading it awful, as I did manage to drink it... barely.
chocolate chai tea is a wonderful hot tea but also makes a very nice ice tea.
When I opened the package it remained me of coffee. This is the first tea that I have had from Adagio that is horrible. I followed the directions even steeping it the correct time and all there is no saving this one.
When brewed in the traditional Indian fashion, this tea is good. The clove and cinnamon are the overriding tastes, but the chocolate and black tea provides delicious undercurrents.
I personally wanted more of a chocolaty flavor. I thought it would be a bit sweeter
Nice dessert tea. Big lover of chai and this is no different.
This was very spiced and less chocolate than I thought, but good with foamed milk and sugar.
This tea is so delicious! I couldn't get enough of it. It's definitley one of my all time favorite teas I've ever gotten from here. It's got that perfect mix of Chai and chocolate!
Tastes like a crappy cup of chai ): I couldn't detect even a hint of chocolate.
This tea, is amazing! Boil some water in a pot, mix in the leaves, put a cover on, boil for a little bit longer, add in equal parts milk to the water, and a teaspoon of sugar per cup, and you get the most delicious thing ever.
Seriously, it tastes like the goddess of love and joy is making out with you!
Okay, more seriously it tastes like someone dissolved a huge spoonful of whip cream in hot chocolate and mixed in some cinnamon. With the tasty undercurrent of black tea.
Try the sampler, you won't regret it!
Loved the taste and the fragrance. A very enjoyable tea.
To me it this okay, not offense or too strong. Not what I would consider a chocolaty taste. Had a coffee type richness to the flavor. My java junkie husband liked it.
Love this tea. I am a big fan of chai tea, especially in the fall/winter months. This came to me as a sample. LOVE IT. The chai flavor is wonderful and the addition of the chocolate...well if you like chocolate, you will love this!!
The flavor is excellent. It's not as strong of a flavor as I expect from a chai, but an extra heaping teaspoon over the recommended amount fixed that.
I am not a huge fan of chai tea, however for a chai tea it was good. Smelled amazing
I usually don't care for chai, but the chocolate chai is a fantastic blend of flavors.
Not really sure what to make of this tea. It has a nice aroma- hints of chocolate under spice. I don't so much taste the chocolate though. It's my first chai so I really have nothing to compare it to. It was nice enough, but I think I would prefer this in a combination blend with others than as a blend by itself.
Not quite as spiced as the masala chai, but the chocolatey flavor is a nice twist on a chai.
I don't really care for this one but others I've served this to liked it.
Yummy afternoon treat. I enjoy it with almond or soy milk and sugar.
Fabulous. I could drink this every day. Surprising to me how much more I like this one than the white chai and Thai chai I tried from Adagio. I love this spice blend. it's a perfect mixture between chocolate and the Indian chai spices.
I really like this chocolate flavor, unlike my complaints about the chocolate flavor in the 'pu-erh chorange' blend.
I love anything chocolate! But when I heard chi it was a must have tea. Not what I was Expecting. not very spicy. But still very good.
I got this to blend with some Irish Breakfast and it worked well. Not sure how it would stand on its own.
I'm not a great one for flavored teas, but had been looking for a way to never buy another latte. This chai has a lovely smell. like most chais, but then this has a darker depth to it that I might not have recognized as chocolate if I didn't already know that it was. I was expecting the taste to be weaker than the smell, but it holds up, and is brought out with a bit of milk and sugar. I highly recommend it if you like a bit of dessert with your caffeine.
I wasn't personally a fan of this tea on its own. I might like it in a different blend.
This is one of the best tea's I have had. The chai taste is not to strong and just enough choc flavor not to over power anything. Anyone that likes choc or chai will like this tea. Great for kids too.
The chocolate flavors don't come across as strongly as I would like, but overall a good tea. If you really want a chocolate flavor I suggest the chocolate honeybush tea.
A
I'm unable to handle soy, almond, etc etc and regular milks, so I tried this in water as a tea. Can't do it. it's too drying and tongue-curling (side effect of the cinnamon). I still rated it Good as the flavor itself is delicious and would probably be amazing in a different base liquid. :)
Edit: The flavor is much too harsh and drying on the tongue. I couldn't handle a sip of it.
I'm a choco-holic and this is exactly what hit the spot. It's like Tiger Eye without the caramel. Great for days when I just want a chocolate fix.
My son and I really enjoyed this. It's a little less spicy then what I'm use to when think of chai but still quite tasty!
Excellent cup of chai. Not a great chocolate taste, but nonetheless it is there. Tastes very similar to the masala chai with a faint semi sweet chocolate taste, yet I strongly prefer the masala chai myself.
I did not expect the cinnamon! I thought it would be like the caramel. just black tea with flavor. This is its own creation. Marvelous.
I chose this tea as a free sample for sharing my order on Facebook, and I don't regret it. The chocolate gives a great depth to the chai, and while I drink my tea black this would be great with milk.
This tea is a subtle chai. If you like chai but don't like it to be too spicy, this is probably the tea for you. I prefer a chai with a little more of a kick, so this was a bit too mild for me. But, it was still very smooth and delicious. Instead of having cookies for a before-bed snack, have a cup of chocolate chai. Or better yet, have the cookies AND the tea. (you deserve it)
This is definitely a savory tea, but it's not necessarily heavy. There's no creaminess or thick flavor to it, but that's ultimately a good thing. The tea tastes of more natural cocoa with a solid mix of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves surrounding it. Dessert tea? Yes. Absurdly decadent? No - satisfying all the same.
I didn't really taste any chocolate flavor in this tea.
Probably my favorite! It has a rich, warm flavor I especially appreciate in cooler weather. I am not a huge chocolate fan, but this is just a great tasting tea, hot or cold!
This is replacing my morning coffee for the rest of my life!
sweet creamy taste. Not as strong as the masala chai and milk and sugar are a must! I like my chai a little stronger so I steep it in boiling water instead for 5 minutes
This tea is pretty good on it's own, but mix it with the pumpkin juice from the magic potions set for a truly wonderful cup!
Chai always has a great spice profile, adding the chocolate just put it over the top.
Tastes like a hot cocoa in tea form, add cream and its fabulous!
Not really sure about this one. Didn't think too highly of it.
This is just okay, but mix with a chai or the honeybush hazelnut and you're in for a treat!
It wasn't as chocolatey as I was hoping it would be. Although I'm betting if I added some chocolate chips it would be really good
This a great desert tea, I drink it with milk and honey. It hit's the sweet spot.
Absolutely delicious and totally satisfies my chocolate cravings. This would be a very good tea for fall
