I been brewing two teaspoons of Masala chai with half a cup of water and adding half a cup of milk and a little sugar and it's been wonderful. I decided to try the chocolate chai for a change and it doesn't even come close. It had an artificial chocolate taste and it didn't taste like chai to me. I would not order again.
★★★★☆
The regular masala chai is still my favorite, but this is a nice twist on the traditional mix. The chocolate flavor is more of a suggestion, but you can definitely taste the difference.

Loved this tea when I sampled it last year. Still in love with it this year :)

This is the best Adagio chai I've tried yet (others include the Thai chai and masala chai) and they've all been good. The chocolate and cinnamon balance particularly well. I only got a sample this time, but I can't wait to order more. It will be so good with Christmas treats.
★★★★★
So good steeped either in water or milk. Very nice, subtle flavor!

Chocolate tea sounds awful, but the flavor is great. Reminds me of the holidays.

I am not a big chai fan, but I figured I'd try this one (since I love chocolate). It is ok, but the cinnamon in it was a little overpowering for me.

This wasn't very good, which surprised me because I really enjoy the Marsala Chai and I like other teas with chocolate/cocoa/etc in them. The flavor was strong in harsh chocolate liqueur sort of way, not pleasant and warming. Even sugar and milk didn't help.
★★★★☆
If your looking for a rich chocolate taste or a true spicy chi this is not the tea for you. However, I enjoyed that the taste did not hit you over the head but had a subtle smooth taste. I enjoy mine with some frothed warm milk. Also pairs well with fruit teas like strawberry and raspberry.

I received a sample of this in the Chai Sampler about a year ago. It came time for me to buy more tea, and this was the first one to come to mind, so I bought it again. It's still as delightful as I remembered! The chocolate flavor is strong enough that you can taste it, but not so strong that you feel like you're just drinking hot cocoa. Plus the cinnamon and ginger notes of chai really complement the chocolate well!

Delicious - spicy and well-rounded. I'm gonna try blending this with EVERYTHING. It also passed the 'ack I forgot to remove the infuser while I was feeding the triplets breakfast and now it's oversteeped' test. Ultimately, I think it brewed 7min and still tasted fine.

I loved this tea. It was spicey with a little bit of sweet. It suggested one cup being 2 tsp. However, I assumed (wrong) it was only 1. Considering how strong it was with just 1, I don't know what it would have tasted like with 2. I really recommend just doing 1 tsp. But still really good!!

It's like dessert in a cup. Add a little almond milk and it's heavenly!

I enjoyed the chocolate chai, but it's not a tea I would drink frequently.

Chai is definitely one of my favorites. I loved the Chocolate blend.

Great when you have that Chocolate craving and so many fewer calories.

More chocolate than chai, but this is a delightful breakfast treat.

The touch of cinnamon really makes it great. Never been much of a Chai person but I love this one.

Fantastic flavor of Chocolate and can still taste the Chai! Great for afternoon tea!

Wish there was more chocolate tones to this but omg I was in love last night while I was working. I did add a little creamer and chilled it to make iced chai which made it even better.
★★★★★
This is a great tea. The chocolate is mellow and the chai is just spicy enough to warm you.One of my all time favs.

This tea was very tasty and not overly strong. Very delicious with milk and sugar.
★★★★☆
I am still getting used to chai flavors, but this chocolate is rich and strong and quite lovely. Tastes great with brown sugar and honey.
★★★☆☆
It's a good dessert tea with some honey but, not as spicy as I would have liked. I would say the white chai is even more 'chai' than this one, you know?
★★★★☆
My favorite of the Adagio Chai options. The chocolate is faint but complements the spices, making it a comforting blend that is great for fall. I like mine strong, with a generous splash of almond milk.
★★★★★
Chocolate chai! Just. Wow. This is, by far, the best chai tea I have ever tasted. Aside from the obvious brilliance of combining chocolate and chai (inspired, I know), this chai has an amazing depth of flavor. Much more cinnamon-and-sugar than cloves-and-cardamon. Love it!
★★★★★
Another great chai. All the right spices mixed with chocolate make this tea one of my favorites.

One of my absolute favorite teas. I've had other chocolate chais and none compare to adagio's. The spices are so heavy and intoxicating, and who doesn't love chocolate?
★★★★★
Chocolate Chia has quickly become one of my favorite teas, I like how it's a lighter chia than some. The chocolate in it isn't over barring it adds just enough sweetness to really work
★★★★★
This is another tea that is never missing in my cupboard. Love it!
★★★★☆
Chocolate cocoa nibs add a little bit of bitterness. Not a bad chai.
★★★★☆
I originally tried this in the chai sampler and wasn't that impressed. It was a good tea, but I wanted a more pronounced chocolate flavour. I wasn't planning on reordering but by the end of the bag it really grew on me and I ended up ordering a bigger size. It's a nice mellow, slightly sweet chai that I could drink every day. Even though it still doesn't really taste super chocolatey to me, it does tend to curb the chocolate cravings. I find it's best mixed with some of the cream tea.

This one tastes more like cinnamon than chocolate. It's ok, but not my favorite.
★★★★☆
This is an excellent tea to make *with* hot chocolate! It gets me through the winter. However, I find it a little uninspiring on its own. the chocolate flavor is a little off, and it doesn't have quite the same punch as I would expect from other chais.
★★★★☆
I enjoyed this tea however felt like it could have been a bit more - spice-y maybe? Drinking a cup right now with a splash of milk and honey and the flavour is not as strong as I would hope for.
★★★★☆
I don't usually use this on its own. I mix a tiny bit (1:3) with the vanilla rooibos chai, and that is spectacular. I don't like the spice blend in this one as much on its own.
★★★★☆
Very spicy with a hint of dark chocolate flavor on the back of your tongue as you swallow. Very satisfying as a chai.
★★★★★
I make it with coconut milk and add more cocoa to it...2x a day!

Worst chai I have ever tasted. I even tried adding sugar then milk, still no help for this one.

In a word, yum! I don't typically like chocolate teas, but the spice of the chai balances the chocolate flavor out nicely and I find the chocolate flavor doesn't shine out as much as enhances the chai and gives it a slightly different edge than, say, masala chai. All in all a very enjoyable tea.
★★★★★
Delicious! The spice is nice and strong and the chocolate really gives it that added pop of flavor. Tastes great hot or iced.
★★★★★
One of my favorite chai teas. This reminds me of fall everything I brew this.

This was good with some sugar and frothed almond milk!

The first time I tried this, I liked it, but didn't love it. I've changed my mind and it's now one of my favorites.

not a real fan of this tea. i really didn't taste chocolate. it had an odd flavor i couldn't identify. maybe i should have added cream.

Not my cup of tea (ha accidental pun). Overall I found this to be an underwhelming chai. None of the spices or flavors were very strong. I don't think any Adagio tea could be described as bad, but I'm not rushing to finish off this sample.
★★★★☆
A great toasty sweet treat. Chocolate, cinnamon, and warm goodness.
★★★★☆
Comfort food in liquid form. The aroma as it was seeping made my kitchen smell wonderful.
★★★★★
Very good flavor tea. I think it is one of my favorites so far
★★☆☆☆
This was a sample I received and honestly I felt the chocolate was overbearing. I tried less sugar, no sugar, cream, no cream. The flavor was just something I could grow to love. It smelled amazing but not something I wanted to drink everyday.
