The chocolate flavor is not very pronounced and the tea as a whole is much less vibrant and flavorful than the masala chai.
Exotic Masala Chai flavors from India paired with dark chocolate. Soothing cocoa, zesty warmth, seamless texture.

Just OK...too much spice and not enough chocolate flavor for my taste.
Wonderful chai by itself. Also used it to make a dirty chai with a shot
Of
Espresso. Perfect!
Chocolate chai tastes like a very good hot chocolate, but in tea form, with caffeine and additional spices. That makes it much better. It is a bit bitter, however, and not as sweet as I would personally like. It is fantastic with milk and sugar, however.
I love chocolate, but in tea I like it best as a chai. If it was decaf, I'd like it better.
Chocolate chai is my new obsession. It is a strong flavor so maybe not for everyone, but I love it. I have it with a dash of milk. I also steep it longer than suggested. Yum!
This was surprisingly awesome and I'd definitely recommend it for people who enjoy chais!
The chocolate in this chai gives it a very rich taste. Doesn't taste overly chocolatey but instead has a nice deep flavor.
This is pretty tasty. It's spicy but chocolaty and delicious.
This tea has a distinct chocolate flavor and aroma, plus a hint of spice. Add a bit of milk and a tiny bit of sugar and it is amazing. Seems like a winter drink, but when the weather warms up, I'll try it iced.
This was good, but not the best. I didn't get a lot of chocolate flavor from this tea. It was slightly better than average but left me wanting more.
I know I said this before...all the chai teas are great...but I really love chocolate in any way and so this combination just fits me perfect! It's a nice afternoon tea...
If you like chai than tou may ba a winner! Not being a big fan of this type of tea, i still enjoy in a way this warm and spicy drink. However, my suggestion is to get a trying size, and make sure that this tea is rihht for you!
For whatever reason, I don't really taste the chocolate here. The chai, absolutely- bright cinnamon, tongue-numbing clove (although it's not listed- but I've never had ginger numb my tongue before...hrmmm), it's all there. But even with a splash of cream, I'm not tasting cocoa, or not enough to get it past the other spices. Considering everyone else's review, maybe they changed the batch?
I really enjoyed this, it wasn't quite as spicy as the vanilla rooibos chai which is also quite nice. Definitely recommend trying
I wish this tasted like it smells! It smells so smooth and chocolate. Like spiced hot cocoa. It tastes more like watered down potpourri.
Probably my favorite type of chai tea! I love the warmth and the smooth texture, and the subtle taste of chocolate was a great sweetener.
I liked this tea, although I wish the chocolate flavor was stronger. Mostly it just tastes like a sweet chai to me. Definitely good, especially with milk and sugar -- but not chocolatey enough for me.
The chocolate complements the chai spices, rather than being an overbearing flavor. If you're expecting strong chocolate, you'll likely be disappointed. But I enjoy chai regardless, and this tea was no exception.
Delicious blend, absolutely buying again! Its always nice to have variations on a favorite.
Very rich flavor that warms you to your toes! This tea is addictive.
I stopped coffee awhile ago and started drinking chai. I tried a ton of flavors but the chocolate is still my favorite. With just a tiny bit of milk and sugar it tastes amazing.
Tasty and warm, but not too spicy. The chocolate flavor comes through but isn't overpowering.
A good, rich - almost a dark chocolate flavor? If you like chocolate you'll probably like this!
smelled amazing but was nothing really special to me
I love chai teas, so when a friend offered me a chocolate chai I eagerly said yes! I was not disappointed. This chai tastes just as delicious as it smells. I asked where she got it and went right here and ordered a big bag of it. Love it!
To me, this tea has an odd aroma & taste. Can't explain why, it just does.
This is a very flavorful tea. Both flavors complement each other for a full-bodied taste.
I was, admittedly, less impressed by this chocolate chai than I have been with previous chai blends from Adagio. The chocolate came across not so much as chocolate but as something reminiscent of chocolate.
Has very good taste to it. Will order it again.Like to mix it.
Creamy & spicy, really delicious. A good tea for 'forgetters' - the flavor doesn't get bitter with over-steeping.
Chocolate? Chai? What else do you need from a warm beverage!! Delicious!
This was a free sample I got and I wasn't really expecting to like it...but it's not half bad. Good for if I'm in the mood for hot chocolate. Too sweet to be a regular tea for me, but I'll definitely keep this around and use it eventually.
I wish this came in a decaf version. It's much more a dessert tea than a morning one and I personally don't drink caffeine late in the day. But this is so good, especially with a splash of milk, that I wish I could!
A bit less spiced than I would have liked considering it's a chai. The chocolate flavor was subtle but it went nicely with the spices. If you prefer spicier chai, but still want the chocolate flavor notes I suggested combining chocolate chai and the masala chai together and brewing for 10min.
Has a warm feeling to it. I also enjoy Chai so it was interesting to have a sweet, chocolate take on the drink.
Ok tea blend but not my favorite. Nice spicy aroma and might be nice with a spot of creamy coconut milk and touch of sugar.
This tea is perfect for cold weather. The spices and chocolate will warm you right up.
Very tasty! Chocolate comes through very nicely without being overpowering or artificial tasting. Thanks for the sampler!
I guess I was expecting it to be more chocolatey and less spicy. It's fine and basically exactly what it promises, but I guess I miss hot chocolate and was hoping for a full replacement.
Really good chai! Not as spiced as I prefer - perhaps was overpowered by the chocolate, which is reasonable for this blend :) Would recommend for any chocolate lovers out there!
The chocolate seemed a bit too subtle. I added rock sugar and milk after trying it plain.
I would have liked this to be a bit more spicy.
I'm not sure about this one. I like chocolate, and this one definitely smells and tastes like chocolate, but a nice dark, bitter chocolate. I only had it with a splash of milk, so next time I'll try it with a sweetener.
Delicious tea with all of the flavors of the spices.
Not the best chai blend I've had. It was a bit bitter. Smells great though.
I love chai tea but I've never really found a chocolate chai that actually tasted good...until now! This tea is nice and spicy just as a good chai should be but it has that little punch of chocolate just to make it even better. Do yourself a favor and drink this one with milk and sugar and you'll have a lovely chai latte.
Always like this flavor! I add some almond milk & sweetener then enjoy. Smooth & tasty!
I got this in a sampler set for my birthday! I've been curious about it for years, since Adagio first released their line of chai. However, their Thai Chai and Spiced Apple Chai drew me away until now.
In my sample, I made this both as hot and iced, since I'm still on a bit of an iced chai kick. As an iced chai, it was nice first thing in the morning. It's like the chai equivalent of a mocha, except spicier.
The cinnamon and ginger come forward strongly against the chocolate. The actual chocolate flavor is much more present in the dry leaf's scent than the actual tea. In the tea, it's not entirely recognizable since there's so much else going on. It tastes more like a gingerbread man that was left in the oven too long. Still, I really enjoy it. It's not my favorite chai, but it's still nice.
Mostly spicy, with a hint of dark chocolate. Not really bad, but not as much chocolate as expected.
