★★★★☆

I get very little chocolate flavor from this one. The Pu erh gives it a nice earthiness which blends well with the ginger flavor that comes across most strongly for me. Feels like a middle of the line chai. Enjoyable but not crazy strong in any specific direction.

Smooth, earthy and chocolatey! I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful this was, as I m not typically the biggest fan of puerh teas.

★★★★★

Despite the fact that I brew my own chai frequently, I can't get over the scent of this spice blend (+ chocolate!). It somehow also smells like orange even though there isn't any present. I'm usually disappointed by chai blends as they are too weak for me, but this one has a great level of spice and flavor. The re-brew is also plenty flavorful. I sweetened it with rock sugar crystals and added almond milk.

★★★★★

This is a much lighter chai, the flavor is mellower than a typical chai, it has a beautiful chocolate perfume without too much chocolate flavor taking over. Overall a smooth warm tea.

★★★★☆

There’s more clove and less chocolate than I might like-I barely get chocolate at all, but this is definitely a tea you know you’re drinking. It packs a wallop!

I prefer the regular chocolate chai over this chai. Still a good blend

I really like this chai, and I think I prefer it to the Chocolate Chai (with black tea). It isn't too spicy for me (I think it has less bite than the other one, and is smoother), and has a light cocoa taste. My go-to morning drink w/honey & milk.

Compared to the Chocolate Chai, Cardamom & Cloves are added to the ingredients list.

My absolute favorite chocolate tea so far...this is perfect for dark chocolate lovers. A really wonderful fall tea; the chai flavors really come through in this. I enjoy it both hot and iced, lightly sweetened with honey.

I'm a pu-erh lover to the core, and I know some folks just don't jive with the distinct pu-erh flavor. That said, I like this tea very much. It provides me with a decent caffeine jolt, and my favorite is that I can brew a teabag in my travel mug all day long; while the chai and chocolate flavors definitely decrease each time I add hot water, puerh tea never becomes an over-steeped bitter mess.
Brewing this tea plain, I liked the scent more than I loved the flavor. It was more ginger and cinnamon than anything else. After the addition of some milk and sugar, though, the chocolate flavor really shines through and the chai spices seem to just melt through it - almost like mixing a great hot chocolate with a great chai latte! Absolutely will be a tea that I order again (in a bigger bag!)

The tea is sooo good, the cinnomon, with the chocolate, is superb.

It felt a bit forced for me with the chocolate. It was a nice cuppa, yet felt like it was missing something or maybe it was just too much.

★★★★★

the perfect balance of chocolate, chai spice, and pu-erh depth. i love this so much!!!

This is my favorite chocolate tea. I tried the chocolate sampler and this was by far the best for me. I like how it blends the chocolate and the chai together perfectly. There isn't one flavor that stands out above everything else, they just all blend together perfectly.

tastes more like chai than chocolate but delishious

★★★★☆

Good, but could have more of a chocolate taste to it.

The tea is very good on the first round. But being a pu erh I assumed that I could re-brew is a couple of times like you can with most. Unfortunately the chocolaty flavor doesn't really come through very well on the additional steepings. Would like it better I think if I could rebrew it for a similar flavor a couple times.

A great flavorful, spicy chai for an iced chai latte.

Nice twist on a traditional chai. Bit strong, may lower steep time next cup. The chocolate isn’t too noticeable, but smooths it out well

Good mid day pick me up. Love the taste and smell of this tea.

The chai’s that I’ve had from Adagio before have been very strong on spice, but not so much on the tea. I like them, but not my fave. This Chocolate Puerh is different from the others. The Puerh offers a depth of tea which balances out very nicely with the spices and the chocolate is a nice hint of sweetness and adding to the depth of the tea. It is very well done.

Makes an awesome Dirty Chi, This is now a go to for one of my favorite beverages

I love flavored Pu’erhs, and this is one of my favorites. I have it hot with some chocolate matcha whisked in and it’s delicious.

Nice way to enjoy a pu erh. Less overwhelming tea when cut with chocolate

I did not enjoy the earthy flavors in this tea. There is only a slight hint of chocolate in the aftertaste, and it did not really go with the other flavors. Not sweet at all.

I had been searching for a chocolate pu erh tea for a while and this did not disappoint. The chocolate flavor is rich while the spices in the tea work to enhance the overall flavor.

The BEST chocolate chai there is! Reminds me of hot cocoa but without the heaviness. Absolutely fantastic.

★★★★★

One of my favorite chocolate chais! it mixes really well as well!

★★★☆☆

Too much spice flavor for my taste. I find it makes a great blend when I mix it with black tea.

Chocolatey and earthy alternative to regular chai, good for multiple steeps

If you like Chai, and a strong and spicy ginger hit (which I do) then you ll enjoy this tea as much as I have. I actually add more tea than is recommended because I like a stronger cup of tea. The chocolate is present but subtle enough not to over power the other flavors. I love Pu-erh anyway, but Adagio definitely has some of the best flavored varieties I ve ever encountered.

The chocolate Chai Pu Erh is fantastic! This is a decadent yet light tea. I tried the Chocolate Chai prior to this one and I like this one a bit better. The flavor is more refined.

It’s spicy, it’s sweet, it’s delicious. I don’t typically like chais, or chocolate for that matter, but with a little sugar and a splash of milk, this tea is phenomenal!!!

★★★★☆

A delightful tea, if you like spicier chai teas. There spice appears both on the palate and the nose, with cardamom and pepper being the dominant notes. The chocolate is there, but it is in the background. A serving of cane sugar helps bring out the chocolate. Moreover, the loaminess and earthiness of a Pu-erh tea is in the background of the palate, as well

Very strong spiced tea mixed with the pu erh and you get a good kick! Excellent mixed with milk and some sugar.

★★★★★

This tea was a gift. They reported that they enjoyed this unique tea

★★★★☆

I m very happy to say that the chocolate still lets the spiciness of the chai shine while adding some extra dimension and richness.

Not my favorite. I have come to realize I am not a big Pu Erh tea fan. I am going to try the black tea chocolate chai and compare it. My roommate loves it though!

★★★☆☆

I wasn't a fan of this tea. It had too much of a ginger taste with very little chocolate. It also had a weird tangy after taste for me that didn't jive well with the overall flavor of the tea.

Chai teas are usually hit or miss for me. But this one does it for me.

I found this tea to be really enjoyable. The chai wasn t too overpowering, like I find them to be at times, and the chocolate, while not prominent as it is n some of the other chocolate teas, plays nicely in the background with the chai. This is high on my purchase again list.

I may have bought too many teas with chocolate when I bought this tea, but I am so glad I got this one. It is strong in flavor and adding sugar and oat milk to it brought out all the spices. It is one of my favorite now.

Honestly I’d like a little bit more chocolate flavor to come through in this cup. It has a satisfactory chai taste, but I find it to be a bit more like that bark flavor which would translate to wood, when I enjoy more leaves and flowers in my cup against the cinnamon bark taste. I had it plain with no additives. Maybe next time I’ll try adding a splash of milk and a spoon of sugar to mellow it out.

Sunday morning, late afternoon or an after dinner tea when family or friends are together. It’s richness comes from four spices and three types of chocolate. It is a favorite in our home.
