White Symphony Customer Reviews

A delicate tea made from tea buds collected and withered prior to opening. It creates a pale yellow, light-bodied, yet complex cup with hints of honeydew and a faint floral sweetness.

★★★★★

One of my favorites from Adagio, and certainly the best white tea I've ever had. It has the classic leafy flavor of white tea, but with just the faintest sweetness. It is extremely subtle and elegant, perfect by itself without sugar or honey. This is a tea is meant to be appreciated, sip by sip. Lovely.

★★★★☆

This is nice and clean tasting. But this is also mild and perhaps too mild for my tastes. I usually like the stronger flavored teas. But I had a white tea and thought I'd try some of these other ones.

★★★★★

Nice subtle but complex taste. It has a slightly sweet aftertaste.

★★★★★

Very light and refreshing. a hint of the fruits but nothing too overpowering.

I honestly can't tell the difference between this one and White Peony. If there is a difference, it must be very, very slight. Both are soft and naturally sweet, a little bit hay-like in terms of smell, somewhat yeasty like baked bread. I wouldn't really say they taste fruity or have melon notes like the description states. Again, more like sweet hay. Still, I'd go for Silver Needle for straight white tea over any of the others.

This was my second time trying a white tea. Although I didn't love it as much as the White Blueberry, I definitely enjoyed the light, delicate taste. Soothing and subtle.

★★★★★

Very light, sweet, really enjoy it! Easy to over brew!

★★★★★

It's a very subtle tea, but it's delicious. I like it a lot, and it's very smooth/calming.

unexpected sterile, medicine taste...almost tasted like tea was tainted by plastic container

★★★★★

Light, smooth and sweet with subtle flora aroma. Nice complex of flavors.

A very light tea, White Symphony is perfect for breakfast or bedtime. A great way to soothe a weary throat as well. Pairs well with a mild biscotti or tea cookie.

★★★☆☆

Just decent. I prefer more flavor in my teas, but this is good.

★★★★★

This is a really good white tea - it's smooth and is great in the evening

★★★★★

I am absolutely in LOVE with this tea. The wonderful floral undertones really make this tea absolutely outstanding. Without a second thought, I could drink this all day, every day. Couldn't recommend this enough!!!

Loving this tea so much! It's light, airy, tasty, delicious, smooth and gentle. Give it a try if you are looking for a new white tea to experiment. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

★★★★★

This tea is a very calm and contemplative white tea. Its fragrance is light and slightly perfume-y. Its great with for long nights with a good book.

★★★★★

I bought this tea based on the reviews and am so happy that I did! It's subtle, yet refreshing, with a soft, sweet scent. It's one of my favorites!

★★★★★

This tea is the perfect combination of taste and value in white teas. Very nice refreshing cup.

★★★★☆

this had a very subtle, light taste, but i really liked it nonetheless! good aroma and beautiful colour.

★★★★★

I love this tea for late afternoons or evenings - balanced, subtle flavor, goes great with just about anything.

★★★☆☆

This is a nice tea but I wouldn't recommend it for people who like stronger/black teas like me, the flavors are too subtle and personally I cannot register them at all. I can taste a faint fluffy tea flavor but nothing as complex as the description says it should be, so I'm blaming my sense of taste on this one.

★★★★☆

This tea is perfect. It is full, sweet, honey-scented and clean. It feels smooth in your mouth. I have been a long-time silver needle drinker and only tried white symphony because I received a sample. It quickly replaced silver needle as my favorite.

★★★★★

Favorite white tea so far. natural sweetness makes very little sugar necessary. No vegetal taste at all

★★★★☆

The white tea might not be for me. The flavor was a little too 'malty' for me, if that makes sense. I usually like earthy flavors but there was something a little too heavy for a white tea.

★★★★★

Light and clean in taste, this tea I tend to combine with a little bit of spearmint for a wake up tea and evening bedtime tea. :)

I really love white tea, and this one is no exception. I've taken to steeping my white teas at a cooler temperature, about 175, and doing more than one infusion. The resulting brew is sweet and floral. It doesn't even need sweetener.

OMG This is good! It's really more of a green I think. The flavor is bold for a white and the liquor a nice golden green. Fantastic as is or with white sugar crystals. Even better iced. Wil order again!

White Symphony is warm, a little crisp, and slightly sweet. It's almost too plain for me sometimes, but it really hits the spot when I'm in the mood for a white tea.

★★★★★

I got the sampler pack and this one was by far my favorite.

★★★★☆

I like this tea. It's very light, and the flavor is quite nice.

★★★★★

Such a gentle flavor, but so good. A very pleasant, almost floral tea. I just wish it were less expensive so it could be an everyday tea.

★★★★★

This is my favorite white tea. It is right in the middle on the subtle-to-flavorful spectrum. One teaspoon makes quite a few cups of tea so it can last me all afternoon.

I found that I had to brew this tea for a bit longer than recommended to get the flavors I expected--which were nice.

I got these as a gift for my father. He had said that he wanted a high quality white tea, so of course I thought of Adagio first. :)

★★★★☆

very sweet.. delicate and complex. better then white peony. by a huge margin no.. but its still very nice

★★★★★

A very, very light flavor. If you're used to the more pronounced flavors of black or green tea, you might want to avoid this. At first, it was hard to discern any flavor, but just let it continue to steep and it will show itself. The taste itself is slight and just a little sweet.

The nose of this tea is stunning. A very sweet peony with that nice bitter smell that comes with white teas and milder greens. The taste is just like taking a white rose petal into your mouth, though I know there are no roses into this. This is definitely for people who love white peony and who love floral teas. I recommend brewing for the suggested time, though a few minutes longer will probably bring out the florals better.

Compared side by side with the White Peony and Silver Needle, this is much closer to the White Peony. Less sweet and less subtle than the Silver Needle, but nearly indistinguishable from the White Peony. The idea of adding some extra buds to a White Peony does make me want to try adding a pinch of Jasmine Silver Needle next time I make a White peony, to see what happens! Overall, I can't recommend this over the White Peony, and don't think the extra buds are worth the jump in price.

★★★★★

Beautifully floral without a hint of bitterness, nice rounded mouthfeel and a subtle sweetness

★★★★★

a great white tea. subtle, light on the tongue, like the smell of a hypoallergenic spring.

★★★★☆

Delicious tea, maybe on the mild side for some but a smooth and refreshing tea

★★★★★

Fantastic, complex white tea. Slightly dry, with an almost sweet aftertaste. Needed no sugar to be delicious.

★★★★★

Very subtle and sweet, with very few consequences of oversteeping (other than a less interesting second steep).

★★★★★

I have tried several green teas from adagio and many were too grassy for me. I just don't prefer that taste. This tea was not grassy. In fact, it was wonderful. Great flavor and doesn't get bitter.

This tea had a great flavor and I look forward to having more of it in the future.

★★★★★

This tea is simply mind-blowing. The rich, subtle undertones and the beauty of the light note encapsulated into one cup of tea is simply a divine symphony of complexity and simplicity in a single sip. Bravo! Encore! One of my new favorites!

I'm not really in to white teas but this had some very interesting flavors. I also noticed the color wasn't something I was expecting. The taste had a very very sweet flavor, with a little earthiness. At first I thought my water was off but after another cup I realized it was the tea. Again, quite interesting.

★★★★★

To call this a more refined White Peony is the most accurate description of a tea I can imagine.

★★★★★

I enjoyed this a lot. I was afraid it was going to be a little bitter, but it wasn't. Not too strong, just right.

★★★★★

I haven't tried too many white teas but if this one is any indication of what they can be like then I must try more. Really excellent melon / fruity flavors.
