White tea from Fujian, China. White Peony, also known as Pai Mu Tan, is a sweet, mild tea made from unopened tea buds, as well as the two newest leaves to sprout. Warm and floral like fruit blossoms. Golden liquor, succulent floral-fruit flavor.

Surprisingly tasty! I'm not usually a floral tea fan, but I do like white tea so I tried this and... it's great! It doesn't taste like drinking air freshener which is usually my problem with teas said to have floral notes. But this one doesn't hit you over the head with floralness. It's very subtle but still full of flavor! I'll drink this again!
I felt that this tasted more grassy than floral. Perhaps it will taste different in a future brewing. Regardless, I enjoyed it. I suggest you try it if you enjoy other white teas and are looking for something a bit different. I happen to be a fan of the white strawberry, peach and pear. I found this to be a subtle and mellow tea. Great afternoon tea!
Very smooth and calming. slightly grassy. and very light and flowery. :)
Light and smooth. Everything a white tea should be. The melon notes really come through as it cools.
Lovely white tea with no vegetal tones. To me, it's distinctly different from White Symphony (its sister white tea), warmer in flavor and a bit less sweet.
Very light and smooth with hints of floral notes. The leaves are pretty big so hard to measure it out by teaspoons for a cup of tea. I just had to guess as to not crush the leaves. Very satisfying.
Silver needle with some kick to it. As someone who enjoys roasted oolongs and black teas, with is my kind of white tea.
Just getting into white tea so I didn't really know what to expect. Very enjoyable. I like it plain with no sugar/milk.
Very light and floral! Pretty good! I prefer green teas, but this one was great!
This is a very nice tea. Very soft and delicate. I want to maybe vary the steep time and temperature though next tim
I like this tea. It's more subtle than what I usually go for but it's refreshing. Tried it with a little bit of strawberry herbal tea and that was greatness: )
I feel like this is a good tea for every day drinking. I brew it for 5 minutes with a temperature of 170. It has noticably more flavor than Silver Needle tea. I find it sweet and satisfying, leaning on the fruity side of the flavor palette. YUM!
Even though this tea doesn't have any extra flavorings, it tastes awesome.
This was one of my free samples, but I would gladly buy it for myself when I run out. It's light and vaguely floral, and it has a really nice color in my glass cup. I plan on blending it with some Dewy Cherry tea and chilling it for a refreshing summer tea.
This is a very interesting white tea. I felt like there was something slightly nutty in the flavor, which gave it a unique spin in comparison to teas like the white symphony. I was expecting slightly more floral notes, but the tea overall was good. My favorite white is still the white eternal spring, however.
out of the white teas I have tried, I like this one the best. It has an earthy flavor that is balanced out by the floral taste. It's a really delicate tea. I am looking forward to trying it iced.
Really nice and light, even better iced. Apple and ginger pieces make a lovely addition.
Quality of the tea is good, but the taste is too vegetal for my liking. This tea is better as a cold drink compared to hot.
White Peony is nice but a bit grassy, pleasant when iced, and needs no sweetener. The taste reminds me of late spring (what with the scent of fresh-cut grass and flowers and all) and is a clear golden color in the glass. Nice for a change, but I don't know that I'd buy it again.
Wanted more to mix with other herbals to create white tea combos. Good tea for this purpose.
I definitely approve of the fuller taste of the White Peony. Often, whites are just a little too delicate for me, but this one manages to be light, airy, and floral while still imparting a smooth taste.
I usually prefer white peony to its more arrogant cousins in the white tea family. It has a more, well, tea-ish taste, being bolder and sometimes sweeter. The gold liquor you get is attractive, and it smells good. And there's the price. You don't have to feel hedonistic making a daily habit of it. If you're accustomed to white teas, this isn't going to knock your socks off, but it tastes like you expect it to. Or it will as long as you disregard the temperature instructions on the bag. This is the first real quarrel I have had with those. 195? No, not unless you WANT a sour note and a flatter taste. I did it anyway a few times, but no, knock that down ten to twenty degrees and the true character will emerge.
This is wonderful, light, and perfect for an evening working.
Adagio has one of the best white peony's I have tried.
I like this tea. Tastes a little off to me though.
Sweet clean and delicious. Superb mouth feel finishing with a hint of dandelion! Delicious. Another new favorite!
Fabulous tea! Very delicate. Perfect for late at night right before bed.
This is a nice white tea with a but of a grassy flavor to it. One of my first unflavored white teas and I rather enjoy the taste.
This is a nice, grassy tea, but it doesn't really have enough substance IMO.
I was so disappointed in this tea :( the reviews were so good, and I love floral teas, but this tasted to grassy and bland to me no matter how I fiddled with how I brewed it.
Light, refreshing, and floral. Highly recommended.
Get taste and great aroma. This tea is great on a winter night. Its light and delicious.
I love this tea and wish that Adagio would get it in! It's very mild but smooth and I could drink it all day long.
This is a nice white tea that is savory yet floral. It is quite flavorful and holds up to a double brewing.
Smooth and delicate taste. Definitely a must-try for any white tea fan.
This tea was my first exposure to white tea. It is delicate and flavorful and lovely.
This is my favorite of all the white teas. It is slightly earthy and delicate. Just make sure to brew it like it's supposed to be or you won't get as nice a cup.
Nice and light. a good tea for relaxing at the end of the day.
A nice subtle White tea. It is very good to mix with other teas -- herbal teas or white teas that are too strong. Very beneficial too.
I LOVE THIS TEA!! Has a light flavor, with just a hint of a flowery accent. It's lovely to drink in the mornings instead of coffee.
All the white tea benefits with a more robust flavor. Honestly, what's not to like? Also if you read the 'roots' QandA, the whole thing about it becoming slightly sweet after about a year is totally true. So buy the big bag it gets better with age.
A solid white tea, very light and soothing, with a bit of a fruity taste. The leaves have a hint of peach smell. Not my choice of white tea, though--I prefer the complexity of White Symphony.
This is my go-to tea that I drink almost every day. It is wonderful by itself, but pairs quite well with many other flavors.
This was a little more earthy than I liked for my white teas. When I'm in the mood for a white tea, I like it to be soft and sweet.
Before switching to non-caffeinated teas, white tea was my preferred choice. This one is lovely, especially with a bit of honey added to it. For those who like white tea, this would be an excellent choice.
The best part of this tea for me was the aroma. Much like a jasmine tea in this respect.
Sip lovely flower.
Fresh air on the mountain side.
One pinch sugar, smile.
Light flowery flavor, not bitter at all. Great tea to brighten the winter months.
This one was just ok for me. Another straight tea that I ordered. Flavor was fine, I just don't enjoy whites as much as I enjoy greens and oolongs.
