Pretty good. It is a little weak fr my tastes but it is nice and mellow.
White tea from Fujian, China infused with the flavor of ripe pears. A wonderfully smooth and subtle treat.

Pretty good. It is a little weak fr my tastes but it is nice and mellow.
An absolutely beautiful tea with flavor bursting out .
A wonderful, calming brew. A nice tea to drink after a long Friday (or any day)!
This is a great tea, but only when I'm in the mood for it. I prefer it hot to iced. Very light and sweet.
I love pear, so I was excited to get this tea. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It's not bad, but its not great either.
This one has gotten me hooked on white tea. I like the White Symphony- and very much enjoy the Silver Needle- but the White Pear is absolutely delicious. Don't let the promise of fruity flavor turn you away if you're not that sort of tea drinker- because I am not that guy at all. I don't do fruity flavored teas. But when the sample came in, I realized that this was different from most fruity teas. I was instantly hooked. Before the sample was gone I had an ounce and a half on the way. I'm back at the White Pear page now because I'm ordering 8 ounces of it (terrific value btw- 1.5 oz is 6 bucks- 19 dollars for 8 ounces!). Regrettably, I haven't ordered soon enough because I'm out again. :-(
The good news is that this tea re-steeps tremendously well. I have gotten 3 cups out of leaves, and I bet a 4th would turn out pretty decent too.
Couldn't really taste the pear flavor, but maybe I just haven't figured out how to brew white tea well.
Picked this one up because I love fresh pears. The taste is great and not too much caffeine. I reordered before I used up the sample!
A little too weak for me, can hardly taste the pear.
this tea has a powerful aroma. i wouldn't say it smells like pears, but some weird perfume-like scent.
when you first open the bag your first instinct might be 'the pear is going to be overpowering' but it's not. smells great. nice and smooth.
Very refreshing tea, second white tea I bought
This is exactly what I was looking for! A sweet simple tea that is not cloying. Very delicate, almost floral white tea meets crisp pear. Does it get any better?
The pear taste slightly overpowers the white tea, but that's not automatically a reason for dismissal. I want to try this as an iced tea -- I can imagine this working rather well, and pear is a wonderfully refreshing taste, especially cold.
A good flavor. Very delicate and soft on the palate.
Smooth, not bitter (if do exactly as indicated), and just the right about my peach flavor (doesn't taste like a candy, but isn't subtle either). One of my favorites from this company:-) It goes very nicely with tea cocktails.
This is my absolute favorite of the white teas. It reminds me of the taste of the water from the sandhills well where I grew up. What more could I say? I hope trans-canada doesn't pollute that above mentioned water with their freekin pipeline.
I just ran out of my sample of this tea, and I'm not going to order a 3 oz bag any time soon. This tea, without honey, was really bitter and rather grassy, without that pear taste I was expecting. Also, the tea is so tiny that some of it slipped through my infuser.
The aromatics from the pear smell delicious and can be tasted too in this light white tea.
It was ok but I probably will not purchase it again unless they are out of my favorites: White Symphony or White Peony.
Kind of strange tasting - earthy maybe? - with a weird aftertaste. I couldn't really taste the pear beyond a touch of sweetness if I held it in my mouth.
I loved this, the pear flavor blends so well with the white tea. A light but slightly nutty flavor.
This smells delicious. Might be better cold than hot, but haven't tried it that way yet. Re-steeped my tea bag from yesterday (kept it in the fridge), and its just as good today!
Tastes a lot like apples, actually, which I'm really not too fond of. However, if you like that, it has a very sweet and crisp taste.
.This last bag wasn't as good as the two prior, will wait a season before getting more of this one
Maybe I'm just not a white tea person. I've always drank black tea or strong green tea, so perhaps I've abused my palate in a way that makes me really unreceptive to white tea. I adore the White Peach, but the White Pear is far too delicate and subtle for me to want to purchase again. I feel like I am drinking warm water. I don't want to badmouth and scare people off, but I can't pick up on a distinct flavour, even when I brew a REALLY strong cup. I gave it a shot, it's just not for me!
surprisingly delicious! White teas are usually flavourless for me because they're too light but this wasn't at all. It really tastes like pear juice.
It's an alright flavor, but not something I'd drink on a daily basis.
I usually prefer black tea but got this so i can drink it at night and not be kept up. Its really good and has a nice light taste with a great pear flavor.
Very fruity, more than I expected. The smell is a little overwhelming but the taste is not as strong as the smell.
The first time I brewed this tea I wasn't sure that I liked it. It was very light and smooth and didn't appear to have a much flavor or aroma, but the second time I brewed it I tried it iced and that made a world of difference. The flavor of the tea is very mellow and it has a nice fruity aroma. I love this tea iced.
nice, lite, refreshing. pear is a good combo with white tea. great to have after a meal...
There is more of a pear scent than there is a pear flavor to this tea. The white tea is very nice, warm and comforting. I found that the pear flavor came out more when I added a bit of sugar. Over all, I liked this tea a lot.
A very mellow tea. It has a sort of earthy taste, like crisp fall leaves (in a good way). The pear is very subtle. I would have liked a little more of it, otherwise a very nice tea.
The fragrance of this tea reminded me of some shampoo I used as a kid. I felt like I was drinking hot shampoo. I couldn't finish the cup.
I didn't care for this one. To me the flavors did not go well together and it was just off. Too fruity sweet and it masked the tea flavor. I think for the most part, I prefer my white teas unflavored. Peach being the exception.
I think this is really light and refreshing! A little weak for me, but I was glad to pair it with a tiny bit of organic honey. Overall, very enjoyable and I'm glad I have it in my tea chest!
I didn't like this one as much as I had hoped. It didn't have much pear flavor and was bitter.
I wish this tea had more pear flavor to it. Although I really enjoy my white teas iced and this one is no exception.
I found this tea to be absolutely delightful. The pear flavor wasn't very apparent, but I found the white tea base to be very aromatic and flavorful on its own.
Fresh and crisp tasting. Has become an ice tea favorite for the family.
Unsweetened this tea has a nice, leafy flavor to it, with a slight pear aroma. after adding a little bit of sugar, the pear flavor really helps this tea pop.
Tastes like white tea with pear. Just as advertised.
I feel bad posting a negative review, but that's the best road to improvement, right? When I first purchased this tea, opening the bag was like being blast with something chemical and unnatural. Unfortunately, brewing didn't seem to change the experience. Even at a half-power brew I can't seem to change the results. The flavor is extremely vegetal and raw yet I cannot discern just what it reminds me of. Raw zucchini, almost? But now that my nasty review is over, a friend of mine tried this tea and enjoyed it. She described it as mild. In the end, I guess it's up to the taster!
Smells a little like cleaning solution in the bag, but as much when brewed. The flavor is very light and sweet even without sugar or honey, which I really enjoy.
I was really excited about this tea because I had LOVED white blueberry and was hoping white pear would prove similarly lovely. Unfortunately I don't find that the pear comes through to me at all, except maybe a little in the sense of a long removed after taste. (Like after you've finished the cup several minutes before.) I found this tea had a very grassy/green scent to me. I sweetened it up with some honey to give it flavor. I'll certainly finish the sample I ordered, but I doubt I'll be reordering this one and I'll stick with my white blueberry in the future.
Not my favorite tea, although my friend quite likes it. It is hard to really taste the pear, but it's fine for a white tea.
this had a really nice, light pear flavour, with a little hint of something woody. a very soothing cup of tea :)
I was a bit disappointed, the pear flavor was not there. I prefer a natural white to this one
Not quite as good as the white blueberry, but still tasty. A very mellow and light tea, perfectly drinkable without any sugar. I'm quite fond of it.
