2026 Update: I bought this again in the Fall thinking it would be nice for Winter. I think my review is pretty much the same. It's not bad, I definitely drink it since I have it, but it's basically a nice white tea with a barely detectable flavor. I probably shouldn't buy it again... There are other white teas I really enjoy and I think I'll stick to those.
3/14/22 Review: I tasted this tea a while ago through CommuniTEA and had noted 4 stars then (but didn't get my review in in time). However, this time for a sample pouch I bought, it's down to 3 stars. The base white tea is nice, flavorful, woodsy, delicious. The first time I tried this tea, the pear flavor was gentle, but present, and came out a tiny bit more once sweetened. This time, I can't smell the pear flavor at ALL, dry or steeped, and can't taste it. Maybe it's just the batch I got, but it's a bummer... I was looking forward to white pear tea for winter afternoons.

Hands down my favorite Adagio tea I’ve ever had. The flavor and scent are so strong of pear. Steeps twice!

I am really enjoying this tea! Its delicate but flavorful, light and fruity. Its very pear forward with the apple blended in beautifully. I dont usually sweeten tea but a small amount of honey really accents the fruit flavors nicely.

I didn’t particularly enjoy this flavor and I wouldn’t order again. Didn’t really get the pear flavor from this tea.

Sweet with a bit of crisp. Overall a pretty satisfying, tasty tea.

Gentle scent of pears from the cup. The flavor is less pear, and more of just a green grassy sort of taste. Maybe I need to brew it stronger.

Perry is such a delicate flavor that sometimes it gets lost even in a white tea blend but this is pear forward while still being delicate. The chunks of fruit included certainly help that. No fake chemical taste here.

My partner really likes this white tea. It is clear and crisp with a subtle pear flavor, not too sweet.

Excellent! Drink it several times a week. It is very relaxing and you can taste all of the fruit in the tea.

This one was okay for me. I really enjoy white tea but I didn't get a punch of pear like I have with other fruit teas.

I’m very glad I purchased this tea. Another favorite.

You can smell the pear! The bits of apple make this sweet and subtle i mix it 2 tbsp for a 16 oz mug.

I was expecting to like this tea a lot, because I love pears. I found that this tea hardly has any flavor at all, and is too much like just drinking hot water. The description for the tea says it is 'subtle'... which is probably the same as saying not much flavor. I added a little sugar and it was acceptable, but overall disappointing. 185F. Three minutes.

So this wasn't bad, but not something I would order. The dry tea smelled nice, a little sweet but but not a whole lot of anything distinctive. I brewed this in my gaiwan at 176° for 1.5 minutes for three rounds. It steeped to a lovely golden yellow and while smooth, mellow, and naturally sweet I found it smelled more of the apple/pear then tasted. All in all a good white tea.

The longer it sits (not steeps) the more pear flavor is coming through. It's a very smooth tea and I could see myself drinking more in the future. 190F for four minutes, steeped

Really enjoyed this blend iced. The pear flavor was nice and crisp but not overpowering fruity flavor.

It's not bad. There's a bit of a bitter note, but it's faint. Probably won't buy this one, but it's fine to drink.

I prefer a bolder tea, but for a white tea this is not bad. It has a nice aroma and the taste of sweet pear is mild but discernable. This made for a refreshing chilled tea.

It smelled just like a ripe pear when you opened the packet. It brewe to a nice light tea with a very mild pear taste.

I enjoyed this white pear tea. I found it to be slightly less delicate than many others I have tried. When I first opened the pack I definitely smells pear specifically. Once I steeped it that scent was not so distinct. This translated to the flavor as well. While I could kind of pick up pear I think the apple jumps in and kind of muddles the pear flavor to becoming something that is more just definitely fruit, but hard to pin down for me. It still was a delicious white and I may end up ordering some in the future as I am curious about how it would taste as an iced tea, maybe this summer. 180° 3 min

I liked this tea the first time, enough to attenpt to draw out a second steep... It's a nice white, with enough flavor to not simply disappear from my senses, while I would hope for more true pearyness!

This has an absolutely lovely sweet, pear aroma, and while I understand white tea is delicate, I would've liked more of a pear flavor to match the beautiful scent. I still enjoyed it very much.

CommuniTEA sample: 3 min @ 180 F. I would probably give this tea 2.5 stars, 2 if it weren’t for the second cup. You don't normally think of white tea as being a strong flavor, but for this blend, it is. The pear flavor is pretty weak, pears are very delicate in general, and I was looking forward to this, considering floral aspects white tea are going to pair lovely with floral aspects of a good pair. The natural pear flavoring did not seem very natural to me though, I initially felt it smelled kind of alcoholic, but also like candy flavoring. When I tasted it, I got some banana kind of notes, and I think it's just a general, fruity, maybe ketone type chemical? It's kind of sweet, but it doesn't taste like pear. It really wasn't that pleasant, but, it didn't overpower the white tea entirely. I felt there was a good balance between them, and I could still enjoy the white with some vague sweetness in it? The second cup was better, the chemical taste was toned down. And if I aerated the tea a bit, it did taste more like pears, but overall it wasn’t great.

The pear rings through loud and clear, it isn't a bad taste but I'm not partial to pears. It was interesting though, and my sister adored it. Stole the rest of my mug

A light and delicate white tea with a light note of pearl. I'm partial to pear, so I love this tea. It pairs well with a bit of lemon curd on buttered toast.

As a tea, this one is decent. As a PEAR tea, I find it disappointing. I kind of expected that going in - white tea and pear are both incredibly subtle flavors - and only the white tea really makes a show here. I can't quite pick up on any pear notes except a floral sweet aroma

Just the right balance of flavor and a subtle 'kick'. Great morning tea or an afternoon lounge. I've enjoyed this tea for several years.

This tea has turned out to be my favorite Adagio tea so far. The pear flavor is light but prominent enough to give the white tea the perfect hint of fresh pear. I use a little natural monk fruit sweetener. So nice for a quiet moment anytime of day.

When I saw this tea, I was like that is interesting because you don't really see pear. I really enjoyed it with a subtle taste of pear. Not overpowering at all.

Did not care for this one. Smelled and tasted like fresh cut grass to me. Very reminiscent to wheat grass drinks.

This one really disappointed me because I even seeped one minute longer than it suggested and with 6oz od water I barely tasted anything but hot water I don't think I really can say if I liked the flavor because I didn't get any

This tea isn’t for me. I don’t like the way it smells. It has a light sweet flavor, not bad, but also not special. For me part of the experience is the scent of the cup. I will not buy this one again.

As a new, and skeptical tea drinker I was pleasantly surprised with the subtle and fruity flavor of this tea.

I enjoyed the taste and smell. It was very refreshing, can't wait to put it on my nest order.

This blend is lovely! I forgot at first that I needed to steep it at a slightly lower temperature, so I was forced to wait a few minutes for my boiling water to calm down before adding it to the teapot. Luckily, just huffing the delicious aroma from the bag satisfied me in the mean time.

Definitely a new favorite! I was expecting the pear flavor to be more subtle, but it is actually pretty vibrant.

A very pleasant light white tea, although the pear flavor could stand to be a bit more pronounced. Better hot than cool/cold.

White Pear has a pleasant taste of pear and white tea. This tea does not have a rich depth in flavor, but rather a single tone.

I bought a sampler in November 2024 and was immediately pleased with it. Smells amazing from the bag. Brewed for 3 mins with no mind about specific temp. Came out with just enough pear taste to not be overly sweet. Easily one of my new favorites.

Light and fruity. Very refreshing. Love this as an afternoon tea. Light caffeine so it doesn't wire me up.
