My initial reaction was that I did not like this and it was just... bitter isn’t quite the right word, but for a white tea, it works. I decided to give it another chance though with a generous teaspoon of sugar, and that helped mellow out the flavor. By the time I finished the cup, it had grown on me. Definitely needs a little assistance for flavor though.

Light, floral, and just a tad sweet. Some cream and sweetener really enhance it, but it’s a peaceful little cuppa on its own.

It basically tastes like 'not black Darjeeling'. So if you happen to like white tea or Darjeeling, you're in luck! You'll probably love this.
While I would drink this again, I prefer stronger and sweeter teas. So it's not my favorite that I've tried. I agree with someone else's assessment that the tea gets better as you drink it.

Very light, flavoring not to my taste. I’m not tasting either fruit or floral but more of an earthy taste.

A bold-flavored white tea. I usually favor greens and oolongs over whites, but this one may change my mind. I'll be purchasing more of this. The excellent flavor combined with the lighter caffeine content is a winner in my book.

A very yummy and bold white tea with strong flavor notes of honey and apricots. Floral fragrance that invokes a warm inviting feeling as well.

I keep going back and forth on this one. One sip I like it, the next I hate it. I'm really not sure what I think. It's very grassy but in a different way than green tea, and almost reminded me of artichokes.

Light and crisp. I usually prefer black tea and that’s why Communitea is awesome, giving me a chance to branch out of the usual. Thanks!

This is a nice and very mellow white tea. It is similar to White Peony but I think I much prefer the white peony because it is a bit bolder in flavor and I like the more pronounced floral notes. Got this as a sample and am glad to have tried it.

I dont know if it's my bias, but this tea wasnt very good. It was smooth like silver needle, didn't relax me like white berry blends. It tasted mixed and muted in a very confusing way

My limited experience with Darjeeling tea says that the whites and greens can be more 'hybrids' than pure styles. I assume this Darjeeling can be 'punished' a bit more temperature wise than say a fresh Chinese white tea. Dry leaves had little aroma and are broken up. Wet leaves after rinsing were far more noticeably floral, a little fruity, and there was a bit of smokiness to me. The aroma changed to a sweet spiciness as the tea was infused.
1st Infusion (20 seconds, 165 deg): very light champagne color, pretty delicate flavor but there is a hint of fruit to it. No real astringency.
2nd Infusion (30 seconds, 180 deg): fruitiness starts to resemble a grape-like taste (still subtle), flavor is still pretty light and delicate. Perhaps a vegetal flavor, too? Lingers on the tongue for a short while. Astringency is now there on the finish, but it is not a negative - could be kept at a lower temperature to lower. I think the recommended temperature would be too much. Color is noticeably darker.
3rd Infusion (40 seconds, 180 deg): Much like the second infusion but with a bit more astringency. Tea probably would have been better kept at 165 deg.

Mild, smooth flavor. It's tasty and easy to drink, but got slightly grassy towards the last few sips.

I’m sure for those that enjoy white tea this was lovely. It has a nice aroma. There is something about the taste that does not appeal to me.

“ Very delicate in floral aromas at first, but once this one cools down, the tastes start to be noticed. Not very delicate in vegetal taste, that’s for sure. Leaves a very astringent aftertaste. I added a little sugar, but that didn’t tame things down. This tea is just too weird and not very drinkable. Kinda reminds me of ooooh darjeeling, but nowhere as good. (4 mins @ 190F)”

I think I over-steeped it, which will definitely impact my review rating. It's earthy, almost like a green tea with a light fruity aftertaste, but mine came out too bitter to be fully enjoyable. I'll have to try another sample to get the steep time just right.

I'm not a fan of white teas. Most are so delicate that they're almost flavorless to me. This one is better than many of the ones I've tried. Aroma is vegetal, with tones of honey, then fruit. Flavor is mellow, with a hint of citrus.

Subtle at first, but has a quick second life with an odd kick to it that builds up to a astringent, dry finish.

I think I may be developing a real taste for white teas on the basis of the ones I've been sent by Adagio so far. This is a good unflavored one, serviceable for everyday afternoon sipping, but delicate in the usual way of white teas. The sample I got was good for three steepings.

First off, I have not liked the majority of white teas I have tried in the past, even though I have found myself being lured by many of them only to find myself regretting that a few cups into the deal...this one has a very vegetal aroma and flavor profile, in that to me it smells and tastes like the water that green beans have cooked in. That sounds weird, but I love green beans, so I actually didn't find this off-putting at all. It was actually quite nice to not have the funk that I don't like about white teas there waiting to smack me in the face for falling for yet another white tea. Like its a softer flavor and a more mellow flavor and dare I say I am actually okay with this one. I probably won't be stockpiling it, but I plan to finish savoring this cup at least.

A pleasant white tea but I don't seem to get the flavor notes listed. I feel it kind of smells and tastes more like cooked squash, which isn't bad, just not really my taste. With more honey added though it becomes a pretty flavorful tea.

Good flavor to the white darjeeling, I brew slightly longer to get a bit more flavor, but brew too long and get astringency so be careful.

I REALLY enjoy this tea, but I am already a fan of Darjeeling teas AND white teas. This tastes how you would expect these two common flavor profiles to taste when they are combined. My only misgiving is that the flavor is pretty light and therefore takes a bit extra leaf and doesn't stand up to multiple steepings.
Still great.

i was expecting a lighter flavor than the ooooh darjeeling. this has a deeper green tea likeness. i was able to get a light honeysuckle flavor at the finish, but it was mostly a mix of a green malty oolong. i first tried this with just a bit of sugar, then tried after adding milk and again after adding a bit of honey. i may have steeped too long. i will have to try some of the other darjeeling variants to compare this one with. i will retry and update after other comparisons

This is my first sampling of white tea as I am a fan of black teas as a rule. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and notes in this lighter tea; fruity and fragrant. I am not a fan of green tea and this is definitely not a grassy tasting tea. Bonus: light on caffeine for those of us sensitive to caffeine! Brewed in my new Velocitea teapot!

Unfortunately, I found the flavor to this white mild enough to have none at all. I brewed it three times, varying the time and amount steeped. The recommended amount of leaves at 3 minutes resulted in a tasteless brew. Doubled, amount of leaves, the flavor was barely discernible and tripled it was better but still rather...bland. Disappointed.

I really wanted to like this tea. REALLY, but it has a weird, can only be described as, SOAPY aftertaste. Like the smell of regular Dawn... It's very strange and I had to make it several times in different cups just to be certain. I don't even use Dawn anymore but this tea's weird off taste and small remind me of dishsoap.

This doesn't taste nearly as good as black darjeeling, but it's a great white tea for a black tea drinker who needs something with less caffeine.
