While a bit more expensive compared to other white teas, this is by far my favorite white tea. Very nice to drink when you sit back and relax at the end of the day.
Silver Needle white tea is among the most revered of Chinese teas. Gathered only for a few days in early spring, a dedication to perfection is evident in the pale, ivory-colored liquor. Delicately honeysuckle floral, with a warmed sugar sweetness.

While a bit more expensive compared to other white teas, this is by far my favorite white tea. Very nice to drink when you sit back and relax at the end of the day.
light, mild flavor. not exactly a 'with food' food. you really need to concentrate on the tea to enjoy its delicate flavor.
This is our FAVORITE tea!! We love it!! Great taste!!
Good tea, when brewed properly, has a light flowery taste, but it's very touchy about water temperature. Don't make it too hot or it's grassy and odd tasting, if you want a stronger, sweeter, flowery..er? taste try brewing longer with water that's not, not boiling.
My first unflavored white tea. It is pretty good...very mild. Would probaly buy again.
Although slightly delicate for my tastes, the flavor that does come through is wonderful.
This tea has a nice taste, not strong. Will buy again.
Simply AMAZING!!! I had no idea there could be that much of a difference between good & great. This tea is a delight on the tongue. It leaves almost a creamy sensation. It is THAT smooth! I will definitely order more of this. I'm disappointed that it is more expensive, but then things worth having often are. The added bonus of its bountiful health benefits are probably priceless, so I'll have to savor every last drop until I can afford more. Maybe Adagio will be generous and have a sale on this soon (wink, wink, hint, hint)! If you haven't already, plan to sit back and enjoy bit of royalty in a cup. It's definitely a queen in white!
Hmm, the flavor was too mild for me. I don't think I'm a 'white tea' sort of person. I gave it to a white tea-loving friend, and she was thrilled with it, though!
Awesome tea, one of the best I've had. A bit expensive though, but worth it
The best white tea I've ever had, with the most beautiful 'pure tea' taste.
All the good reviews are right. This is a very good white tea. I don't know how to describe it...very nectarish/honey like flavor. Very good.
My favorite tea. Excellent light taste, very healthy, low caffeine, and doesn't stain teeth as much as other teas. A++++
The health benefits of this tea are immeasurable. It has a very subtle taste, and mixes well with other teas if you don't like it. However, just drinking it to get rid of your headache, or your stomachache is enough proof of its effectiveness.
What can I say? Absolutely amazing tea. It has subtlety and grace unmatched by any other tea I've tasted. If you like bold, don't bother...but if you can appreciate delicate beauty, this one is for you.
One of my favorite teas now, wasn't expecting to like it as much as I do. Normally a big japanese/chinese green tea fan, but this stuff is really good. A unique flavor that's hard to describe, defintiely at least get a sampler on your next order.
Best white tea I have ever tried. The flavor is quite smooth and slightly sweet. Despite the cost, I drink it all day long as if it were water.
This tea was a gift for a friend who absolutely loved it - he said it was quite refreshing.
This is probably one of my 2 favorite teas. Nice mellow taste with hints of sweatness.
This kind of tasted like oatmeal to me but I love oatmeal so it worked out!
A good white tea that i wish I had more of, but overall delicious.
My favorite so far! So delicate! love to have it in the morning! I will be trying it cold soon!
If you want the health benefits of green tea without the grassy taste this is what you're looking for. Virtually no taste whatsoever.
Very mild; not what I expected, although smooth. White tea is much to flavorless for my liking.
Was ok still deciding if I should make stronger or weaker
Very light, as expected, but very good when you don't want something heavier.
As the other reviews state, the subtle, sweet, and tender taste of this tea is wonderful
Light, sweet and pleasant...a 'feel good' tea in my opinion...will buy again
White teas are light but this might be the lightest of them.
Definitely not my favorite, but then I'm not a white tea drinker. I ordered this as a sample to try a white tea, and it tastes too grassy for me. It does have a very nice aroma, but I much prefer green.
Very lightly flavored tea. One of my favorite white teas.
Wow, this is a fantastic light tea. I'll definitely be ordering this one again.
wonderful tea! i use Adagio's Silver Needle tea bags everyday at work...thought to try the same in loose tea, at home...great stuff! buy buy BUY!!!
As my very first tea, I was not too enthused. Weak tasting even with the correct amount of tea and the right water temperature. For the price, I will not be buying this too often.
The silver needle is a delicate, golden brew that tastes naturally sweet, somewhat like honey.
This is my favorite of the white teas - love it iced as well!
Love this, very gentle, grows on you. My boyfriend always asks for it, and he is not a tea 'expert' as I am.
Best white tea out there in my opinion. Started drinking this a while back, and I haven't enjoyed another white tea as much as this one.
Perhaps a little too light for my taste, but still delicious.
I found this white tea to be kind of bland. After hearing so much about it it was a letdown for me.
I had read much about the silver needle tea in the Adagio tea book as well as in the Teany (tea cafe in NYC) book by Moby and Kelly Tisdale, so my expectations were high. The tea itself was fun to look at - it's very soft and furry. I thought it had a wonderfully delicate taste that was a nice change from all of the black teas I've been drinking. I definitely plan on buying it again so that I can keep developing my palate.
I love this tea. I intend on getting a larger quantity very soon.
Very good, nice pleasant taste. You can brew a second batch and the favor remains pleasant
I did not care for this tea. It was too 'earthy' and grass-like for me.
This one is okay. It's one of the best quality silver needles I've ever tasted — you'll be surprised at what you'll find at a grocery store. I'll consider reordering it.
Refreshing mellow taste, I could see myself drinking it all day without overloading the tastebuds, definitely one of the better white teas sold on Adagio.
Light, slightly sweet, and refreshing. A very nice change from green tea.
It has a scent like new-mown hay - very interesting - reminds me of childhood, playing in the fields around home. When I took my first sip a smile immediately spread across my face as I tasted the brew! It was light, a little sweet, a little astringent, and complex! There were many tastes combined, though I couldn't really tell you what each was. I thoroughly enjoy the lighter flavor and, although it's expensive, ordered a big jar of this.
Suprisingly fresh and tasty. I liked the 'after-taste' the best.
I also specifically ordered this tea because it came in my first sampler along with white monkey, which is also good but I believe so far is my hands down favorite of all the teas I tried so far. This one is a bit expensive but trust me it is worth every single dollar you spend. If your not sure about white tea yet, buy the sampler it'll give you a good set to try. Obviously all palates are different and whites may be a bit bland for an avid black or green tea drinker, but any fan of great tea will be able to apprieciate the subtle greatness of this one I believe, it is the cornerstone in my collection right now.
