Bai Hao Yin Zhen – Silver Needle White Tea from Fuding, Ningde, Fujian Province, China. Harvested from the youngest, fuzzy buds, Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needle) is one of China’s most celebrated white teas. Grown in Fuding's lush mountains, each silvery-green bud unfolds into a delicate, pale honey-colored cup with gentle floral aroma. Notes of honeydew, fresh cucumber, and subtle mineral undertones make this tea light, elegant, and effortlessly refreshing — a taste of pure, authentic, high-mountain craftsmanship.
About the leaves:
Grown at an elevation of around 450 meters above sea level, our Bai Hao Yin Zhen was hand-plucked in April from 5-10 year old trees. Consisting of only 6 cm long buds, it is a Fuding big tea leaf cultivar. After harvesting the buds go through a special withering process until about 90% of the moisture is gone. It is then roasted at around 60 degrees Celsius for two hours.
