very good tea

This is an absolute MUST have winter tea for the cold and flu season. It actually provides relief and tastes so good!! This tea is going in everyone’s Christmas stockings this year!!

I love throat coat and throat comfort teas by Yogi and Traditional Medicinals, and was hoping that this blend would be just as delicious and effective for my sore throat. However, unfortunately, this one does not taste the same and I don't find it a good change. I am not sure whether it is the raspberry leaves that were added to this blend? There appear to be many raspberry leaves in this blend, and it is a pink colored tea. This blend also does not have the fennel or the wild cherry bark that the other two teas have. I do think this tea relieved my sore throat a little bit, but it was not slippery feeling enough, and I could not manage the taste.

Amazing when I'm feeling under the weather, love it with some organic honey. Soothing for my throat

★★★★★

Pretty strong smell and taste, good for the colder days. Could mix with peppermint for milder taste.

★★★★★

Perfect and soothing for sore throat season which, as a teacher, is a good chunk of the year!

I bought this primarily for my adult son, who have constant sinus and throats issues, but refuses medicine. 😡
This tea lived up to its name as he has drank it two days in a row and now feels much better. So kudos Adagio on that point.
I removed a star bc the licorice and I assume the slippery elm coupled with cinnamon is not for the faint at heart. Today I sampled about 1/2 cup with a drizzle of honey, as did my son, and he pronounced it much better with the honey. I did first steep at 4-5 min but today went a little longer by mistake. I had hoped the orange and raspberry leaves might be more prominent, but they were not. However, as this tea really did improve his throat, I'm now a believer and will keep this stocked.

One of my favorite flavors as far as throat teas go. It also works! High recommend for a crank throat. My only complaint is the consistency of the pre-watered tea which required some mixing to avoid clumping.

Helped my husband a lot post Covid dealing with significant throat issues. very soothing he said.

I’m not a huge fan of licorice so I wasn’t expecting to really like this tea to begin with, but it’s not bad and is soothing.

I drink this tea even if I do not have a sore throat. What I like about is the strong taste of cinnamon, licorice and anise. I add a slice of lemon and Manuka honey - it's very soothing and perfect for a cold day during winter. Better than the sore throat tea bags sold in grocery stores.

I liked the taste (but not completely sold on the aftertaste) of this tea and how I could feel it leaving a coating in my mouth, and to an extent my throat. Will have to get some to have on had for when I have a sore throat due to my allergies to see if it helps.

For being a medicinal type tea this one wasn't too shabby in the flavor department. I thought the hibiscus was light tartness at most and the orange was also subtle and still present. Raspberry leaves were also a background note. I thought the strongest in my CT pack was the licorice and anise that gave it a pleasant natural sweetness. I honestly don't think I have ever heard of slippery elm before so I have no clue about its flavor profile or benefit, but if it was there then it was nice lol. Hot and added nothing, but I did oversteep on accident. 212° 15 min.

Absolutely delightful ans perfect considering the weather has been getting chilly. The licorice was really nice and it loved the raspberry at the end. The anise was very strong but I did enjoy this cup of tea!

I guess this does what it says it does, I’m not a big fan of medicinals and don’t really think they should be included in the Communitea, but I guess they are ok to stash away when needed, I’d just rather sip an Irish Breakfast

I have another version/brand of this tea therapy, constantly in my cupboard... unaware of this option. There is a brightness in this one that intrigues me, maybe the hibiscus & orange? This has great flavor, nothing additional needed, and provides the throat soothing one would hope for.

For an herbal tea, I adore this one. The strong sweet licorice flavor is grand and, while I have not tested how good it is for a sore throat, it is a nice tea to have while working.

No caffine and a guilt free sweet drink, I had it lukewarm and that was the best. Would not recommend iced, though.

This was a pleasant tea with quite a bit of natural sweetness. To me, it had a prominent earthy scent while steeping, and I was pleased to find that only mildly reflected in the taste in the occasional sip. I don't have a sore throat today, but I can see where this would be extremely soothing if I did.

I received a well-timed sample of this in my community-tea and while sick, the usually strong licorice flavors become a lot less pronounced!

CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F. This tea smells like anise and cinnamon. There’s a nice blend of tart and sweet in it from the hibiscus and licorice, and the raspberry leaves and orange play well into that also. And the slippery elm gives it a really nice body; I think it is helpful when my throat is a bit scratchy because of this! I do find it a little too sweet; I think it might be too strong in the licorice, and it tastes like an artificial sweetener to me.

Good for its intended purpose. Even better with a healthy dose of honey. I like to keep some around for fall and winter

I work at a summer camp and this was a hit amongst the other staff. It is amazing for a sore throat and tastes good enough that I drink it even when I'm not feeling sick.

A great tea to enjoy when you are feeling under the weather. Add some honey for a little extra boost

This is a delicious tea whether your throat hurts or not! It is a saving grace when sick. I like to add a little honey

Have on hand when the cold season is around. My daughter loves it also

Maybe it was just that I associate it with being sick but it's pretty good as a medicinal, but I wouldn't drink it just for fun. If you need help with a cold or COVID or sore throat, this is a good one to have on hand.

I bought this as a gift for a family member who is a professional singer. She loves it and often turns to it after a show.

My throat was sore like I swallowed broken glass. Lozenges did not help, honey neither. One cup of Throat Therapy and my throat was quickly soothed enough for me to swallow without severe pain. I believe the Slippery Elm gave this comfort. I love teas that have the licorice and or anise in it and raspberry is a favorite fruit so I have this blend a chance. I did add local honey to my second cup and it enhanced a sweetness and tasted amazing. I have purchased more of this blend and intend on keeping it in my ' tea's' medicine basket. I recommend this tea for sore throats. It really helped comfort me and soothed my sore throat.

I used this tea the week that I felt a tingle in my throat and thank god! It is nice and comforting also.

★★★★★

Better than other brands throat tea options (this has less slippery elm/aniseed flavor). My husband super appreciated this; I found the tea more medicinal so I wouldn’t drink this for fun. But definitely helps with a sore throat.

The satchel reminded me of horse sweet feed, so I was hoping this was something I'd like. After brewing, the smell was a little off putting, but I tried it anyway. Very sweet, and something about the flavor wasn't entirely agreeable, but it was drinkable enough. Unfortunately, vague bit of nausea after a few sips, so I opted not to finish it.

★★★☆☆

Tastes like black licorice. Thankfully, I like licorice.

Wow, this was really great. I love licorice and anise and this had just enough to be tasty without being overwhelming. It went down smooth and sweet.

Sweet on its own. Very fennel and anise forward like liquorice. Not what I reach for for a sore throat as it's very medicinal tasting, but its not the worst.

Confess I drank this a week early because I had a concert . Now I have a cold and wish I had more. I can’t stand ‘throat coat’ because of so much anise and I found this more drinkable .

Not an herbal you'd think you'd reach for outside of a sore throat, but surprisingly delightful. I used to keep an herbal called 'throat coat' for just having when my throat was sore, but it's just been replaced by this, it's so so much better!

This tea works wonders and is great for sore throats. The ingredients combine to create a sweet elixir that is very soothing.

It's a nice tea, I'm just not fond of apple and cinnamon in my tea.

Very close to David's throat rescue. It was soothing and long lasting. Another very nice replacement.

★★★★★

I had come down with a cold and my throat was sore so I thought I would try this one out. I am not a huge fan of licorice so was not sure if I'd like it. It was delicious and not overpowering at all. I've had some teas where the licorice is just way too much and taste artificial where this tea didn't have that fake chemically after taste. I would definitely drink this again. I also feel like it really helped my sore throat and cold.

Tastes a lot like Flax funnily enough, definitely a naturally sweet tea with a nutty flavor profile. The hibiscus is pretty strong, and its quite good with honey, but does feel a bit like a cough drop even without. I've added pink peppercorns to mine to make it a bit spicier, but otherwise perfect!
