Not a tea I'd just drink just because but good for times when a tea-tox is needed. I've started experimenting with intermittent fasting and this could be good for my fasting times.

peppermint and danelion are on the forefront of the palate with a lemon and cinnamon finish. Not the best tasting tea but its a 5/5 because your health is what's important, right?
CommuniTEA: Honestly, I probably would never have tried this on my own. But I really love the cinnamon-mint flavor. Perfectly balanced, extra good with honey for herbals.
I really enjoyed this earthy blend. The burdock and dandelion and perhaps the rooibos lent it a solid, earthy flavor, with a smooth, full mouthfeel. I didn't taste the cinnamon, but it was a warming cup so it probably contributed there. The main flavor was peppermint with that aroma and aftertaste as well. Really enjoyable cup.
Minty scent and earthy taste. I get light cinnamon along with other flavors I am unfamiliar with so I'll go with herbal. Would probably settle a tummy but not something I would drink regularly.
It tastes like a warm and gentle cider instead of a medicinal drink, with the cinnamon shining through the most. It'd go wonderful with apples, and I mixed a little bit of apple jam into my tea for sweetness.
It’s not bad, but not something I’m dying to drink more of. I mostly taste the mint, with the feel of there having been cinnamon on my tongue. I haven’t had the other ingredients on their own to differentiate them, but nothing really stood out.
This is a really gentle detox tea with hints of peppermint and cinnamon. Burdock root is a little bit similar to licorice I feel, but maybe a little sweeter. I steeped this for quite a bit of time, but it wasn't as strong as I thought it would be. Still, the taste is great and it has amazing properties!
When I opened the packet, the tea had an earthy, woody smell to it, along with peppermint. I enjoy eating burdock root, but I've never had any other part of the plant, so I was curious about what type of flavor it would add to the tea.
I steeped the tea following the directions on the packet (212F for 5 minutes). I don't know if I had less cinnamon than others, but I didn't get an overwhelming cinnamon flavor. Instead I mainly had an earthy, minty flavor. I can't say that I really appreciated this tea. I generally like 'health' teas, not for and supposed benefits, but because I bizarre enjoy the more medicinal flavors of ingredients such as licorice or eucalyptus. However, this tea just didn't really stand out.
This tea reminds me of Get Clean by Republic of Tea. Same idea but with a few extras that makes the taste so much better. Will be adding this to the list .
I never knew how good this could be for women's health and how good of a summer morning tea this could be. I do taste the mint in this. None of the other ingredients tasted bad.
The flavors of this tea ended up muddled together and just wasn't for me
Years ago, I was gifted a box of tea that became my favorite go-to tea for when I was feeling sick. Unfortunately, the name of the tea included a racial slur. I contacted the company and asked if they would please remove the racial slur from the name of their tea, but they just blew me off. So I refused to buy more of the tea and have just been trying to super ration what I had left of it. I'm down to just a few servings left, which made me sad.
Imagine my delight when I got this tea in my CommuniTEA packet, and it tastes *exactly* like my favorite cold care tea, but without the racist slur! I am thrilled to have access to this wonderful tea blend that is so soothing when you have a cold, without having to give a single penny to a company that insists on using racial slurs.
Apparently, BS has a slight peppermint taste. I never would have guessed it!
I really do like this tea. It feels like it also gets my gut moving and things flowing, if you know what I mean. Delicious.
I don’t really enjoy mint tea so this tea isn’t for me!
One wouldn't really reach for this tea for taste which, by the way, is medicinal tasting and barely drinkable unsweetened - but it's ok sweetened. I might purchase this for detox purposes, but not something I'd drink for pleasure.
212 degrees for 5 minutes. This interesting tea looks and smells like a scoop of the forest floor. Musty, woodsy, herbal tastes left me pleasantly relaxed on a day when I really needed it! I don't know what some of the individual herbs taste like, but I enjoyed this blend. Great meditative and healing brew.
I tried this via the Communitea. I
am not a fan of cleansing teas but gave this tea a sip before dumping the rest out as I did not want to find out what kind of detoxification would be in store if I drank the whole cup! Thanks but no thanks!
At first I said 2 stars and as I drank it the stars accumulated to 4. It sure tastes better than a tablespoon of medicine. I made it exactly as suggested and liked it better as it cooled in my cup. More and more blah days seem to invade my life as I get older. This is one wellness tea that will not stay in my cupboard for years. Haha. There are several there now. The tea really grows on you.
I like the idea of this tea more than the taste. There’s some flavor in it that I don’t enjoy, and it seems to be the main flavor. I think it’s the burdock since the description of that taste that I could find has some essence of artichoke, and that’s what I’m tasting here. It’s not what I want in my tea unfortunately.
Honestly I didn’t know what I was in for as I never tasted the three main ingredients. Hesitant to taste, I brewed at recommended temp. It smelled familiar but I wasn’t sure of what. Maybe a throat drop but not really. It tasted pleasant but not of lemon. The herbs worked well to make me feel like I was doing something good for my body. As the tea cooled I tasted the cinnamon. Pretty good. I might have to get some as it made me feel good after drinking.
I don't think this tea is going to become a favorite of mine, but it's not bad. The only descriptor that comes to mind is herbal - it just has a woody, slightly earthy taste with a hint of mint. I don't think I taste any of the cinnamon. I get the impression that I'm drinking some kind of tree bark, which isn't unpleasant but probably not something I would want every day.
I struggle with tummy issues, so I was happy to try this tea today! For a detox tea, it actually tasted pretty good. Mint was the prominent taste but you could taste earthiness on the back note. I added a little lemon and that brightened the cup quite a bit. This might not be a daily favorite, but I think it is a good tea to have around for indigestion, etc. and certainly one that herbal lovers can partake in around the clock without feeling like we are drinking medicine :) My tummy says, 'hey, it's yummy!'. Happy Sipping!
I was pleasantly surprised to find that I actually really enjoyed this tea! Based on the ingredients listed on the back of the CommuniTEA packet this morning, I genuinely didn't know whether or not I would. There's a nice minty tinge to this which made it taste delicately delicious for me when I imagined it was going to be one of those drink it fast so you don't have to taste it to get the benefits kinds of things.
I'm a little nervous about it pun in the name because immediately associate it with 'detox' teas hawked on Instagram that I've never tried but am convinced are designed to just make you live on the toilet while you're being 'detoxed'. Hopefully this tea isn't meant to cause that sort of reaction.
In any case, it was so tasty that I finished it before it even got down to room temperature, so I don't know how it would taste cooled down or iced.
It has a strange, woody, herbal taste. Since your body doesn't need a tea to 'detox,' there's no reason to drink it unless you happen to like that flavor.
Mint, check. Cinnamon, check. Lemony flavors from the lemon balm, check. And then there's some other flavor I can't place, but whether it's the burdock, the dandelion root, or the milk thistle I can't say. I don't mind each of the flavors on their own, but together in this tea, the mint and cinnamon and that unidentifiable flavor don't seem to mesh well. Although I wouldn't call it medicinal, it tasted like I was drinking something good for me, and I guess I was, but the kind of something good for me that would be associated with a grimace.
What an interesting blend. My stomach has been off lately and I've been looking for a tea like this. I wouldn't reach for this unless my stomach was unsettled, it's just an odd blend. But it works!
Today’s communiTea was a unique blend, carrying a pleasant rather cozy aroma, but of course being a tea-tox not a cup I’d reach for everyday. But if looking for a soothing cup to sip when feeling overloaded and just plain yuckie, you won’t be disappointed. Each sip mainly peppermint with subtle favors popping in my cup, tasted a bit lemony, Cinnamony, and well overall yummy. This little tea-tox oddly reminded me of an off tasting chai even carrying a little bite at the end. Found it to be Interesting both iced or hot.
I had a concoction of herbal ingredients in my communiTEA packet today. Moderate woody, peppermint and cinnamon aromas were noted.
I stuck with the recommended steeping instructions of five minutes at 212°F.
When hot, moderate sweet peppermint and earthy flavors were noted. Cinnamon zings were noted on the tongue. Mild bitter aftertastes were noted. I added a wee bit of sugar to hold off the bitterness.
When warm, no bitterness was noted. Burdock earthy flavors were moderate. Moderate bittersweet milk thistle flavors were noted. Strong peppermint and cinnamon flavors were forward. A mild woody taste was noted from the rooibos tea. I didn’t taste lemon balm or dandelion toasty or nutty flavors.
In the end, this was a mishmash of muddled ingredients that were overpowered by the peppermint and cinnamon. Too many odd tasting flavors were in this blend for me to enjoy. I’ll leave detoxing to my healthy liver and kidneys to deal with. (5 mins @ 212ºF, ⅛ tsp sugar)
This was a tasty, comforting herbal brew. All I could taste honestly was the mint. I’ll have to read more on the anti-inflammatory properties of the ingredients, as it could be beneficial to me.
This is good, but I prefer my peppermint teas with a stronger peppermint flavor.
I always keep a tin of this tea in my stash. It works wonders on upset tummies, allergy aches, or just a case of the blahs. Very relaxing and comforting for body and soul! No medicinal taste as some detox teas can be. I like to throw in some herbs from my garden when steeping...fresh lemon balm, mint and lavender. Lovely tea! Like a hug in a cup!
Tummy is rumbling; I've eaten all the wrong things; time for a tea tox!
Minty and helpful; it
will help me feel just right; great to drink at night! (Haiku review)
The flavor of this tea is herbal with a hint of mint. I liked it better hot, with honey to sweeten. It was drinkable even if I didn't quite love it.
What a DELICIOUS tea! This cup of communitea warms my cockles...healing soothing yumm!
My husband made spicy Korean food last night. I always grin and tell him how delicious it is (and it REALLY is) but I'm usually dying inside because spicy foods + me = nope. My digestive system just isn't having any of that. So, I was glad when I discovered that today's CommuniTEA is Tea-Tox.
The smell of this blend is cinnamony, a little minty, and totally awesome. I was reminded of holiday baking!
The flavor is delicious, sweet, spicy cinnamon with the coolness of peppermint and a sweet, subtle vanilla note.
'But did it actually help in any way?', you're wondering. Yes, it did! My stomach was aching and the gas situation was embarrassing and after drinking this tea, both have eased up considerably. Tea-Tox is really one of those herbal blends that dont just do what they are purported to do but they taste great also!
I’ve had this tea many times over, normally steeped at 7 minutes and most time bought with the wellness teas. I like to mix it with Happy Belly for an in-law for my amusement. It’s hides the extra ick factor and goes down smoothly. It’s also great alone, but with a splash of fresh citrus.
You just feel healthier drinking this tea. I love going over all the ingredients and the health benefits of each one; drinking this tea is doing yourself a flavour!
One of my favorites to help give you boost! It helps clear out the liver and kidneys with a great taste.
This is a good caffeine free tea to help when you've may have overindulged as it helps me feel refreshed, especially with the mint and cinnamon playing off each other as a but of hot and cold. The green rooibos base is unobtrusive, and helps meld the flavors together.
The tea is ok not as much flavor as some of the other teas.
One of the last teas from a very long day, so I decided it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take it easy before my “about to go to bed” tea. A nice happy cup that goes down nicely; smell wise the peppermint is strong, but mostly the taste is just smooth. I wouldn’t say anything dominates the flavor though.
Love the flavor combination. Soothing and calming and full of good ingredients. For me I find I like to steep it much longer to get all of the flavor and nutrients out.
I've been drinking this for several weeks and feel mindfully refreshed.
More on the medicinal herb side of herbal teas, this really does not taste half-bad to me, but I also grew up with this sort of thing, ao my opinion may be biased. Despite, you know, buying this tea, I am a wee bit annoyed with the whole 'detox' buzzword. That said, at least this tea is actually doing something, which is more than other teas can say.
This is a very pleasant herbal tea. I don’t drink it regularly enough yet to know if it is providing me with good health benefits. But it definitely has a very pleasant and soothing taste.
I'm a tea drinking novice so I don't know what to compare this to, but I do know that I love the flavor of this tea. The minty undertone is very subtle and I like that it has anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidants.
A delicious and easy way to cleanse your body and refresh yourself
I enjoy the smooth flavor of this tea and have made it a regular addition to my tea cabinet.
