There is the smell of mint as the CommuniTea packet opens. It steeps into a light golden color. The flavor is surprisingly minty with clove and ginger highlights. The green tea is a nice base for this blend, however, I would have also liked some lemon (which I add as well as a wee bit of honey). Luckily I cannot taste the licorice or peppercorns, but they may help make the flavor fuller and warm up the cloves and ginger. This is a very refreshing tasting tea, and there is no astringency as the finish is sparkling clean. It is smooth and soothes my innards. (3 mins @ 180ºF + lemon and honey).

The soothing blend of green tea with ginger and a touch of peppermint calms the spirit and the mind. Very little of the black peppercorn and cloves show up in a this cup of relaxing tea.

Not a bad tea, but the taste was definetly not an everyday one. Still, I can see how this would be a good sick day tea.

Very soothing. The flavors are not as strong as I was expecting, the most noticeable flavor is the mint, but even that is nowhere near over powering. I believe I will have to have this in my cupboard for days when I don't feel well in the feature.

Trying along with the CommuniTEA today: Lots of mint with fennel wafting from the dry ingredients and packet. Once steeped for 3 mins at 185°F, I detect mint, earthy green tea and hint of ginger on the nose. When I take a sip, again lots of mint and earthy green tea with a tiny ginger burn and minty finish. Other ingredients are negligible.

I was pleasantly surprised that this tea mostly tastes like mint. I can’t stand licorice and have several other teas with licorice root that I don’t even want to drink when I’m sick and can barely taste, because I hate it that much. But here, I am having a very hard time detecting that and other flavors that I expected not to like. Well done! I have a go-to tea for cold care (without licorice), but I’d give this one a go. Good way to get the benefit of licorice without having to taste it. With the Covid quarantine, I haven’t been sick at all in the past year so this was the first medicinal tea I’ve had in some time!

I was afraid of this tea. Mostly because I don't really like licorice but I was pleasantly surprised. Ginger and peppermint were the main flavors and it was enjoyable.

Based on reading the packet, I was actually pretty excited to try this one. I like all the components separately, but the combination just adds up to a traffic jam - the Hawaiian Punch effect. The smell didn't thrill me; it tasted like what it smelled like; but what I've learned today is that I don't care to mix warming spices with peppermint. (2 mins @ 180 F, 2 drops EZ-Sweetz)

Not bad! The fennel was a little overpowering for me, but when the other flavors came through it was delicious. I actually think it helped clear my stuffy nose this morning!

What a lovely, soothing green tea blend! The ginger and peppermint come across the strongest, held together gently by the green tea. Everyone else shows up mostly as a warming sensation to my palate. This tea is also seemingly quite effective. I woke up with a bit of a stuffy nose, but it's clearing out nicely now! (2m30s @ 165 F, no additions)

The mint is there without being too distracting, overall, it's got a pleasant herbal vibe to it.

For me, the mint helps to meld the flavors together, with the licorice root adding a nice sweetness to the cup. The green tea serves as a backdrop for the resulting cup, which was a nice mixture with the coolness from the mint and warmth from the ginger without being overpowering. Brewed at 180 for 3 minutes in deference to the green tea, which also probably helped the balance of the herbal components.

Today's CommuniTea selection was an interesting blend. Totally drinkable. Just added a tad bit of wildflower honey. While I guess I could see drinking this if I were under the weather, I'd have to figure out if the ingredients did any more for my immune system than a chai or green or black tea. Nonetheless, it tasted a lot better what I thought it would.

Meh. Fennel tends to over power and ruin most things for me but otherwise a good tea.

New to the tea world I found it very interesting this was shared as a medicine tea. Going for taste the black peppercorn was too strong for my morning taste buds.

This is reminiscent of Throat Coat and Gypsy Cold Care, but it needed a touch of sweetener. I like it, but would prefer a caffeine-free tea when I’m under the weather.

This does not have the flavor I expected based upon the ingredients. With ginger, black peppercorn and cloves listed I expected a slightly spicy flavor (I even added a couple extra peppercorns from my home supply since there was only one peppercorn in my CommuniTEA packet). However those spices do not come through. I taste a lot of fennel when steeped for the suggested 3 minutes, and when steeped longer the peppermint comes through very strong. I was really hoping for some ginger and pepper but unfortunately can't taste it. I can see how the scent and flavor of this tea would be soothing for a cold.

Today communiTea was a soothing Minty green tea blend. It’s a comforting blend perfect at night or in the morning when your just feeling blah. Speedy Recovery is definitely minty but not overpowering as licorice, ginger and fennel flavors play subtlety, creating a soothing goodness in my cup. Pepper and cloves? Maybe there in the background playing hide & seek, cuz no bite appears. As you sip, its like a minty, licorice hug healing your body and soul when your just feeling blah. I personally always keep a stash on hand since I find it kinda magical and comforting. 🤕🤒🤧🥴

Upfront and honest. I hate licorice. And fennel. That said, I have purchased and made myself drink licorice and fennel tea when I have a sinus infection, because it works better than most OTC medicine. I was not expecting to enjoy today's CommuniTEA, and while I can't say I love it, it's much less heavy on the licorice than other blends I've had. Which makes it a much better choice to reach for on those days when my head feels like it's going to explode from the pressure!

The peppermint in this is warm and comforting whether seating with feeling a bit under the weather oneself or trying to deal with weather outside the window. While the peppermint is definitely part of the tea, it doesn’t overpower as some peppermint teas do. This will be a wonderful addition to my tea cupboard.

The flavor is an acquired taste, but the benefits are plenty. Fir me anything with Fennel seed is an automatic no, but this tea has helped clear me up during the winter season and allergy season.

A medicinal tea that doesn't taste medicinal. Lovely blend of mint, ginger, licorice and fennel. Very calming to mind and tummy. The flavors blend together to make a sweet, minty pleasant flavor. I can see this being great for illness recovery and stress relief. I love mint so steeped mine a bit longer for a stronger flavor.
3/11/2021 - I use this tea frequently when I'm under the weather. In my experience, it calms coughs and an upset tummy, and soothes away the aches and pains of a cold. Medicinal without tasting medicinal.

I'm not normally a green tea drinker overall, and frankly licorice is one of my least favorite flavors. But this tea managed to soothe me anyway. Not an every day sort of tea for me, but I would want it if I had a cold.

I enjoyed this tea and found it relaxing, but maybe not for daily drinking. I'm keeping this around for days when I feel congested or otherwise not well. It's sort of like a slightly medicinal tasting green chai... I don't like licorice candy, but love anise, fennel, cardamom, ouzo, teas with licorice root, and anything that's on the more herbal side of those flavors, so this was right up my alley for days when I don't feel well. Definitely important not to over-steep this one so as to keep the green tea from turning against you...!
