Tastes great and makes you feel a bit better when you are not so well. Also gives me a little energy boost so I can actually get out bed!
It has a sharp, medicinal herbal aroma, and the taste features a ginger-like spice that tingles in the nose while a subtle green tea flavor gently spreads across the palate. It feels different from the clean freshness of mint, and seems like it would be especially comforting to drink when you have a cold.
I bought this as a gift and the recipient loves it. I will gift it to them again in the future.
I really liked this tea. I got a sample and then ordered a larger bag for the future
Not medical advice because I'm not a doctor. but when I take this with breathe well, moringa and aloe Vera tea, mixed together, and a low carb diet it has been helping me keep my blood sugars low.
Natural medicine that hits the spot. Sweeten with a drop or two of honey and enjoy a delicious non-synthetic way of healing.
Yes very good tea! Awesome blend. Had the flu and with a little honey this was certainly very comforting.
I've tried this tea three times now. The first, I steeped for 3 min at 200 degrees as I was afraid the licorice might be too much if I steeped longer. It was not. The next time I steeped at 212 for over 5 min (bc I got distracted), and I could really taste the fennel and a bit more licorice. The third time I steeped for 4 min at 200 and added a drizzle of honey. That was the sweet spot for me. I could detect more flavors and best of all, it took away my tension headache.
This is one of my favorites! I order it regularly. Despite the name, it does not taste medicinal. The licorice is not noticeable but the overall impression is delicately spiced. The ginger and mint are subtle but pleasant, especially in winter.
Really good flavor. Really enjoyed this blend! Wasn't bland. Tons of flavor. Didnt need any sugar...!
not bad for a minty 'health/wellness' tea. The additional spices and the green up front really make the peppermint palatable, which is saying a lot, coming from me.
Honestly it's like my tea box knew what I needed today. I've had an icky tummy all afternoon and this was just the thing.
This tea was okay for me. I found it to be on the lighter side and the spices helped balance/cover the typical green flavor.
Andrea: Nice tasting tea, especially for a medicinal blend (though that may be helped by some current stuffiness). The ingredients seem tailored to heal and rev up the digestive system after and illness. I added some honey for herbals to bring out the green flavors. Lightly minty with a little spice in the background on the first brew as a green tea. Deeper color and more spice on the second brew as an herbal.
Lynn: Mild taste and slightly spiced floral aroma when brewed as green tea. Like drinking a field of wildflowers. The second, hotter brew tasted and smelled the same to me if a little less mint due to being a second steep. I recommend the herbal brewing for better health benefits since the taste was equal.
1st: 3 mins @ 180°F
2nd: 5 mins @ 212°F
The tea tastes largely of mint. There's a licorice taste in the background giving a little bit of sweetness. It's not my favorite sick-time tea but there's nothing offensive about it.
Smelled and tasted of anise, and was lightly peppery. It had a good medicinal herbal flavor.
This is a wonderful and restful blend. The peppermint is a high and overt note upon first sip, but later infusions bring out the clove and licorice undertones.
This was a pretty decent tea even if it is not my usual style. Ginger and cardamom both worked together pretty well here and could tell it opens up the airways a little while sipping. My favorite in this one is actually the fennel and peppercorns adding a unique and spicy bite on the finish along with the peppermint that is present throughout the cup. Feel good teas are not something I reach for often and I feel Monty comfort is the only one I think I would keep on hand, but I am sure this one has its crowd too. A plus for me in this one is no chamomile. 180° 3 min
CommuniTEA sample. 3 min @ 180 F. Ginger is one of my favorite flavors, so of course I'm going to like this blend. The ginger and peppermint pair really well with each other, and the licorice is also very strong and apparent. As it cools, I do get a little bit more green tea flavor, but those three are the main ones. You smell this tea and you think it will pair great with honey, great to help a sore throat and help you feel better! And, I can confirm that it does pair well with honey!
A super pleasant and soothing tea. I was initially worried that the fennel and licorice would be too strong as I'm not a huge fan of the flavor but it's perfectly balanced with the peppermint.
The ingredients of this tea are very good balanced!
I love the taste of this tea. The moderate caffeine is perfect and the taste is a delicious green mint!
I made this for a friend who was in the hospital for low blood oxygen levels. She loved it and ordered her own bag! felt better immediately.
This tea is my go-to when I’m feeling under the weather, and it’s also perfect for work to keep me energized throughout the day. It’s incredibly fresh and smooth.
This helped so much when I had lingering viral infection symptoms. Keep this one for the bad days, and for the good ones too.
A go to for when I am not well. I cannot say that this blend helps me to recover quickly but I can say it comforts me. I am a big fan of licorice so with the ingredients of Ginger, mint, licorice, and fennel I knew I'd love it. A natural gentle sweetness, soothing, and in my opinion delicious. I buy it.
This tea was soothing and comforting. Loved the hint of licorice and fennel.
Perfect tea for when you’re under the weather. The flavors are so comforting.
Wife just had surgery and she's been enjoying this one very much .got a sampler but ended up buying a 3oz bag shortly after she's been enjoying it warm
Yes!! A tea that is good for you and smooth to drink!! Just a Little Rock sugar and awesome! As usual, always happy!
my favorite winter time tea! I love this brew, even if im not feeling sick. I think the mix of flavors is really lovely.
This is my favorite tea to use when a cold starts to creep in.
Tis the cold and Flu season this has been a god sent. My son has been sick and this really has helped pull him through always a staple
This is a delicious and very well thought out tea that promotes optimal health and recovery. It is great for when you have a sore throat
Love this with a squeeze of lemon. Hot or ice cold
This comforting blend of flavors will make any ailment seem better. Slightly sweetened and hot, I like this tea for just about everything.
Properties are probably there. But I couldn't choke down the taste without just swigging it back. Tasted so bad. Zesty ginger is not a small amount. I'll do it again
This one is really good I got it in a sample and I really enjoyed it doesn't taste like medicine like people were saying that tasted really good relaxing
Great tea. I will be ordering more of it for days when I’m not feeling well.
Being completely honest, I hate licorice. But recently I was sick and wanted to give this a try since I had bought a sample of it just weeks prior. While the flavor combination isn’t something I’d want to taste casually, this tea really did help to soothe me and help me feel better. So from a flavor standpoint, only 3 stars…but from an effectiveness standpoint, 4.5 stars.
I don't like licorice. I don't appreciate the combination of herbs. It isn't for me. I'm glad others like it. I wish you could drink mine for me. .
A medicinal tea that doesn’t taste medicinal. Yum!
Very Balanced blend. I predominantly picked up on the mint. I’m not a biglicorice fan, but the licorice taste was subtle I like the spice notes from
The pepper and cardamon. I added honey.
Great minty green tea with the added health benefits for when ur not feeling ur best.
I love this blend with a splash of lemonade. Something refreshing and cozy for those days where you don’t feel fantastic, and a great substitute for the ‘medicine ball’ sold by a popular coffee shop. (Not the same flavor, but just as good on its own.)
I was concerned when I read licorice but the mint and spice flavors combined nicely to a balanced flavor profile.
This tea is much better than I expected it to be! I love finding or making tea blends that can help soothe various symptoms of illnesses or other maladies, but if I'm honest... those blends don't usually taste very good, no matter how helpful they are.
This blend, however, exceeded my expectations and turned out to be much more enjoyable to just relax with and sip! And I don't even need it today! I definitely think it would be nice if I really were sick!
I drink a lot of herbal and wellness teas for the health benefits, particularly when I’m under the weather, so I’m used to drinking beverages that aren’t really to my taste. But something about the mint mixed with the other spices like clove, cardamom, ginger, etc. really bugs me. So 3 *s for the flavor but 5 *s for the intended purpose. Here’s to your health!
Just what the doctor ordered hydration with all the good stuff.
As someone with diabetes, I have frequent tummy aches. I have tried the 'Good for You' sampler pack and didn't care for the teas in there much. I think I came across Speedy Recovery in another sampler pack and just love it for pretty much everything. Belly ache? Speedy Recovery. General body aches? Speedy Recovery. I don't want to go to work? Speedy Recovery. Mad at the government? Speedy Recovery. But I mostly use it for my frequent tummy aches that are brought on by both stress and poor food choices (or excellent food choices that I know I will later regret).
