Very very grassy flavor I love it with a little extra sweetness
I love this tea, very earthy and herbal for a green tea. I think it's really lovely tea and I'm sure I'll purchase this one again.
Very grassy tasting. Too green. I was immediately not a fan although I did finish the cup and will. finish the bag. It definitely got better as I kept drinking, but I will not be buying this one again.
I hate to speak ill of any tea, but this was just bad. I have a moringa lotion that I love the smell of, but both the taste and smell of this was off-putting. I tried it hot and iced, but I didn't even finish the cup I made with this.
This tea is very grassy/earthy. I like to mix it with peppermint tea when I'm feeling under the weather or with golden flower oolong for a healthy boost. Honey helps take the taste to a better level.
Before diving into moringa because of all its sexy health benefits you've read about online - and I'm sure there are many medicinal benefits - research it to see if it interacts with any medications you're taking or medical conditions you may have. I wish I had, I had to throw it out because it cannot be consumed with one of my meds.
I can't really say it helped me with my health. I mix it with many of my herbal teas. Having it more than once a week gave me some stomach issues.
Delightful. I've been holding off on trying it for a while but glad I went for it.
My overwhelming impression of the flavor is edamame. If you boiled it up unsalted, this is what the water would taste like. Despite how that sounds, it's actually rather pleasant as you keep drinking, especially with a bit of sweetening. Just don't go into it expecting a very tea-like flavor, unless you're thinking of a very vegetal green. It might do best brewed just a little on the weak side. That's not normally my forte as I like a bold flavor but it's worth experimenting.
Not bad, a bit grassy. Probably better mixed with other teas. Just not for me.
I made a delightful blend with some ingredients I grow at home for a friend who was sick. It was absolutely delicious & definitely helped..
Tea was very different, tasted like seaweed...so I tried lots of honey and wasn't bad. To your health everyone.
This wasn’t awful but just not one by itself that I want to drink. I’ve had it mixed with other ingredients and enjoyed it but not alone.
Moringa is new to me. It has a savory herbaceous flavor, almost an umami taste, brothy and vegetal. It has that “good for you” feel. A bit of lemon peel brewed with the tea would compliment the herb-like taste well. Added some Adagio herbal honey. It did wonders to soften and sweeten the savory taste. The resteep had almost the same flavor as the first steep and a chilled mini cup had a much mellower vegetal taste that was easy to sip.
My CT packet had 2 g/ 4 ¾ tsp of light and airy green leaves with the appearance of chopped parsley. Brewed 12 oz. at 212*F for 4:30 min. The liquor was a beautiful golden yellow and had a vegetal scent with a nutty tang to it. This beneficial tea can help with a long list of ailments. Since it’s caffeine free, a night cap of Moringa might be the best tonic for a good night's sleep knowing you did a healthy thing before getting some z’s. 5 + stars for health benefits!
This is not my style of tea. I’ll take a black tea over a green anytime, and while this isn’t technically a green tea, it’s even grassier tasting than a regular green. I’m happy to have tried this tea, though!
Very unique taste that is hard for me to describe. This wasn’t an unpleasant cup of tea, and I think the flavor would grow on me over time. This being my first experience with it, I can see where Is has potential, especially considering all the health benefits it’s supposed to bring to the table.
Grassy and earthy, almost vegetable like. spinach maybe?
I use moringa powder in my smoothies since it is chock full of iron, the powder and tea smell very similar. Think earthy, grassy, in the damp mossy forrest. The taste however is quite different its lighter, a tad bit sweeter, I use the word sweeter loosely, and pretty tasty. I'm not sure the tea would have the same benefits as the powder but it's not bad, it's no match for my smoothy though. That has almond milk, coconut milk, peanut butter, banana and caco.
Very herby and earthy tasting. The smell wasn't pleasant, but I liked it once I added honey. That's honestly the best way to make this not taste like a musty leaf.
Wasn't fond of this tea. I even tried adding a bit of honey to it.
I wish I could give this a 3.5 star rating. It's nutty in both aroma and taste when hot. It seemed to get 'grassier' and tasted more of spinach water the more it cooled. I am not a fan of green/grassy teas so this is not one I will order.
Definitely got spinach vibes from this tea! Felt more like vegetable broth than tea, but not terrible either!
CommuniTEA portion:. Cold steeped overnight. Definitely earthy but actually a slight touch of sweet too? Reading about the health benefits makes me want to order some!
CommuniTEA 7/17/22: I still haven't decided weather moringa is something I enjoy or not. It's strange, but also delicious. Though I think it would be better in a soup than in tea.
Grassy and herbaceous are spot on descriptors for this one. Usually I like those flavors but this had an odd aftertaste that lingered. Blended half my cup with a sweet and fruity tea and enjoyed the depth of flavor the moringa added.
This unique tea has a very grassy flavor. It tastes healthy!
Grass. This was grass in a cup. If you like a traditional unadorned green tea (I do not), you might appreciate what this has to offer.
I enjoyed this earthy green tea. Nice pale yellow color. I did not add sweetener.
not a tea i would drink often, but it’s not bad! i think it would work best made into soup
I received this sample in my CommuniTEA box for July. I honestly didn't think I was going to like it. Upon first sip I wasn't impressed but as it cooled it really grew on me. I found it to be quite comforting and refreshing.
This tea is definitely not for me. I can appreciate that it has some wonderful health benefits but the off-putting hay flavor simply isn't worth it for me.
I’m on blood pressure medicine, I try and didn’t like it and didn’t like smell and I pour it down the drain.
Pleasant enough for what it is. Better than fruity teas, not as delicious as jasmine tea.
This is the first that I tasted moringa. I like green and grassy. This had an odd aftertaste, almost like toasted mate. Just a flavor that isn't my cup of tea.
It's got this bright sort of tangy spark to it [almost like a citrus, but not citrus in flavour], but it's by and large very grassy and vegetal. I think it would work better in a blend than by itself. The smell of it, before steeping, makes me think of freshly cut grass clippings soaking overnight from rainfall. It's unique.
It does have a bit of a medicinal flavor, but is good with honey. Kind of grassy, definitely not something I could drink all the time. Others talked about the pretty color, and not to be crass, but to me it looked like the first piss of the day.
I've never tried moringa before, nor do I know what it's supposed to taste like - but I really enjoyed this tea! It took a few sips for me to really process all the flavors. This tea is strong and vegetal with warm, nutty notes. I found it somewhat similar to green oolongs I have tried. I don't know much about the health benefits of this tea, but it's worth drinking even if there aren't any!
Moringa is not a bad flavor at all, I just wouldn’t normally pick it over my fancy green tea… but the health benefits are great!

I've heard moringa has excellent nutritional/health benefits, rich in antioxidant and nutritional content.
Consult your doctor first. I only sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTea July 2022 box.
A decidedly herbal and vegetal aroma similar to fresh steamed peas greeted us as we opened today's packet. 5 minutes at 212°F produced a rich green herbal tea.
Once it cooled, the flavor of the first sip was crisp and vegetal. Fresh steamed edamame with a crisp tangy edge, similar to a certain German herbal tea I once tried. It's mild with a light body and flavor reminiscent of sweet edamame or steamed green sweet peas, in a good way!
Overall, I'm impressed by the quality of the Moringa leaf used in this tea, and it's flavor. The best part is it's caffeine free, perfect for the evening!
Really lovely and herbaceous, but not bitter or too green.
Brewed hot with honey to sweeten, tastes like grass, which is great as I like the way grass tastes apparently. Some reviewers described it as tasting of spinach water and there is a slight tang like spinach to it, but mostly it's more like how freshly mown grass smells, as a taste. Slightly medicinal and soothing on a sore throat.
My family eats moringa leaves as a vegetable, so it's colored my opinion and to me it tastes like vegetable water. It's not bad, though. It reminds me of savory green teas, but less sweet, much less astringent, and more smooth. I concur with other reviews that there's a very subtle nuttiness in the finish. Would make a decent broth for a soup!
This flavor is definitely not something I've had in another tea before. I agree with the other reviews that it has a grassy/almost herb-like flavor. It has a savory undertone that's really unique, but it's not entirely for me.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this, but I really liked it! I'm not sure what it tastes like - maybe honey, nuts, and grass?
This is a nice grassy tasting tea. When it cools, it has a malty flavor.
I was impressed with the vibrant green color of the leaves that brewed into a beautiful golden elixir. For aesthetics alone I'd give this 10 stars if I could. Moringa is far from my favorite kind of tea but I found this to be drinkable and fresh and much, much better than the store bought tea bags I have had. This tea was good plain but even more pleasing with honey added. If you like moringa tea or just want to drink it for the health benefits, I highly recommend this tea.
The smell in the packet was not promising since it seemed to have a lot of grassy notes and that’s one of my least favorite flavors. However, the grassiness mellowed out nicely when brewed, combined with a surprising tartness. It was pretty good on its own, but I like it best with a bit of honey. I used the matcha honey from adagio.
UPDATED 7-17-22: Today's CommuniTEA is Moringa. I made it iced with Tupelo Honey and it was absolutely amazing! I have had this tea quite a few times before and I found that these combinations work well:
Plain
Cocoa Nibs and Chocolate Honey
and Aniseed, Mango, Strawberry, Raspberry Leaves, and Fruit Tisanes Honey
I found that the following combination did not work well for me: Lemon Verbena, Senna Leaf, and Garden Herbal Honey.
I would highly recommend this tea!
ORIGINAL: To make Moringa, I boiled water in my particle teapot (so about 212 degrees) and then took it off the stove to add the Moringa and a spoonful of the garden honey and let it steep for 10 minutes. It is DELICIOUS! I would recommend this tea if you like something that's a bit more plain, especially if you want to experiment and add honey or other pantry items to it.
What a grassy aroma emitting from the CommuniTEA packet as it opens. Short cut green leaves tumble out and steep into the lightest golden color. Such a warm, full bodied flavor. This tastes like a walk in a grassy knoll - right after a warm rainfall. Pairs well with sweets, as it is not astringent at all, and has enough body to hold its own. By itself, adding ¼ teaspoon of Adagio honey for herbals helps bring out a sweeter note. Lovely, lovely luscious tea. With NO CAFFEINE, it’s right for me!(5 mins @ 212ºF + honey).
