Got as a baby shower gift and mama is enjoying it!

I purchased this and Red Tent to see if either would work to help reduce cramping and other monthly medical issues. I tried Red Tent first, than waited a month to give this one a try. I can say that I like the taste of Red Tent better, however, I noticed a lot less cramping with this blend. The scent and taste of this tea are both very savory, in fact, while drinking it I kept thinking to myself this would make a good base for a chicken noodle soup broth! It's a taste that is a little hard to get used to in a tea, but I'm giving both these medicinal teas high rating due to their helpfulness.

Not horrible a different taste but would recommend it

★★★☆☆

Slightly spicy and tasting of fennel and licorice, this is not a flavor profile I would want to drink on a regular basis. I appreciate very much though that Adagio made a tea with mothers in mind! 212F 3 minutes.

★★★★☆

Pleasantly surprised by this blend. Coriander and licorice notes that aren't too heavy with a smooth fennel finish. Very pretty blend, with large chamomile flowers and whole coriander. I enjoyed steeping this is a clear mug with a bit of honey.

★★★☆☆

I had hoped to like this more as I am a fan of anise and fennel. I didn't taste much mint or lemon, and I am not a fan of chamomile or coriander. For me this tea blend just didn't work well together.

★★★★★

I did enjoy it so much. It's so nice and smooth and relaxing. Just what I needed after a rainy day.

★★★★☆

Hey, that's smooth. The fennel seed was most prominent for me, followed by the colander and chamomile. Very smooth - not bitter and no lingering or bad aftertaste. Can't comment on the lactation benefits, but I'll take others' word for it.

This has a very nice anise aroma. I enjoyed it a lot. It has a strong anise taste.

I can’t speak to the supposed lactation benefits, but this is a very different and interesting blend. Enjoyable if you like the fennel taste, it is nicely balanced with the other herbs but stands out the most

This tea was just middle of the road for me which is kind of a shame because I really like fennel and anise in foods and drinks. I think the culprit for me lies in chamomile. I drank this one hot adding nothing to my cup as it even smelling it I could tell it had plenty of natural sweetness present already. I did enjoy the fennel and anise seed flavors. I think this cup could probably earn two whole stars from me if we turned up the peppermint and down the chamomile as the peppermint was present, but almost like a ghostly aftertaste teasing it's presence rather than showing itself constantly. As it is I wouldn't turn it down, but wouldn't seek it out either. 212° 10 min

CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F, second infusion for 8 min @ 212 F. Very sweet and relaxing. I like serving it warm, the chamomile is very comforting, and the peppermint in it gives it a nice, cooling sensation. I think all of the ingredients come out in the flavor, but the strongest are certainly the chamomile, the peppermint, and the various licorice kind of flavors. I found it interesting that I did get a little bit of a nuttiness to it as well, I think just from all of the seeds in there! Overall, it's sweet and relaxing, I enjoy it!

What a lovely blend! The anise is gentle and pairs well with the mint and chamomile. My husband really enjoyed it too! If I were out of 40 Winks or Daydream, this would be a great alternative

I'm always pleasantly surprised when a tea has mint, but the other elements in it make it palatable to me. The chamomile really rounds this out so well, and fennel & anise always intrigue me.
While intended to be medicinal/healing for a certain demographic (which does not pertain to me) this is an enjoyable herbal I could pick up now and again for a late evening chill moment.

I enjoyed this one, it’s mellow with a hint of spice, though I didn’t get any lemon or peppermint flavor. It reminded me very much of Sleepytime tea. It’s a relaxing cup to have in the evening, I would happily have it again. 212* for 10 minutes.

A pretty good herbal, the chamomile and lemon verbana
shone through in my cup, I like a night time cup and this one did its job.

If Heaven were a tea this would be it. I love the sweet gentle but distinctive
licorice flavor of the anise, I taste the chamomile and get a sense of relaxation from it, and there is a tad of lemoniness present which is blanketed by a cooling mintiness Although I tend to use a tea like this when I have an uncontrolled cough I would not call this a medicinal tasting tea. I find it calming, soothing, and slightly sweet rewarding. GREAT BLEND.

Well, I don't hate it. But I don't love it, either. The chamomile dampens the strength of the fennel, and the touch of mint, though not distinct enough to really be considered its own flavor, keeps the tea from tasting too much like sausage while it cuts through the dusty feeling chamomile can leave behind. I wish I had known about this tea in the early months of nursing my son. I'm sure it would have helped. Seven years later, though, I can't vouch for its effectiveness.

This is a wonderful herbal blend and good for anyone to drink, not just new mothers. Many of these ingredients are great for settling an upset stomach. So if you are prone to digestive issues, like me, this is a great tea to have on hand to help relieve your system.

Very medicinal tasting. Heavy on fennel flavor. Though I live in my sausage not so much my tea. Also heavy chamomile taste. Just ok. Free sample in my CommuniTea, wouldn’t buy it on its own.

This tea smells nice, but I can't drink it due to an allergy to chamomile. Nice mix of spices, but it isn't something I would drink for enjoyment even if I wasn't allergic to an ingredient. I don't sip medicinal teas that I don't need, so this one really isn't my cuppa tea.

Fennel and anise are not my taste. It was not a tea for me.

UPDATED: It's ok, but it definitely tastes like a medicinal tea. The aniseed and fennel were more prominent than I remember from before. It's still not completely yucky, just not enjoyable for the pleasure of drinking tea.

5/8/22: I expected to not like this tea because of the fennel and aniseseed, but the peppermint and fenugreek balanced out the strength of those flavours nicely. Licorice aroma was noticeable, but not overpowering, and the flavours were all nicely blended.

This was better than I expected. I could detect each ingredient, even though I am not a fan of either fennel or anise. The mint came to surface at the very end which was pleasant and created a clean finish. However, I would not purchase this tea, but I might have when I was a nursing mother. I would recommend it.

This wasn't a bad tea and for the most part the flavors were balanced. Brewed at 212 for 7 minutes and got a lovely golden camomile foward cup with a clean minty finish. Don't think I would order a bag myself but would totally recommend.

A warm, and strange, combination of chamomile and anise. Anise reminds me of black licorice. It's two flavors that I'm not wild about.

A bit too strong on the anise for me...as others have said, the predominant flavors are chamomile and anise. It's not the worst thing I've ever drank, but that's not usually what one wants to hear when drinking tea lol. That being said, if I needed to drink this for its medicinal effects I could do it. If you're a big fan of herbal flavors, and like licorice-y aniseed, etc, you may really find it a comforting cup!

Definitely an herbal tea. Not my favorite though. The flavors are those I'd expect to find more in my cooking than a drink. Normally chamomile is enjoyable for me, but everything else covered it up. I might drink it medicinally, but not for fun.

Calming and mild, a great tea to unwind with in the evening. I'm an older mom, not nursing, but was curious to see if the same ingredients provided relief for monthly issues and it seems to! Pleasantly surprised.

Well, I gave this tea away to a friend who is into Ayurveda. But even she is not thrilled with it. All the ingredients are nice, but I guess it has too much fennel or something else in it, because together they taste not very pleasant - it reminds of sweaty feet.. the taste and the smell..I thought I would love this tea based on the ingredients list, but oh well.. May be, if you are pregnant you will like the taste. I don't know, but I couldn't drink it.

Chamomile comes through a lot. I’m not sure if it helps with breastfeeding or not, but it tastes good, so I guess it can’t hurt.

Not a big fan of the anise/fennel quality in this. I am not a fan of licorice in tea, so this one was a miss for me.

I was surprised how well the lemon and fennel went together in this tea. A lovely surprise.

I am a fan of anise and fennel (but not chamomile or peppermint) and found this tea to be delightful. The blend tasted predominantly of aniseed. It was naturally sweet, and enjoyable both hot and cold.

It’s not my favorite wellness tea, but it was ok. There is something standing out to me that I don’t care for. I think it’s fenugreek, since I’ve not had it before. I added some rock sugar to help cover it. I still think it’s a good cup for the health benefits. Not something I would drink often though.

This tea was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure about the various ingredients but overall, it had a calming minty chamomile flavor with a hint of lemon. I did add a little cream and sugar and I think that toned down the fennel and aniseed.

Not gonna lie, I was hesitant when I opened the packet and was hit with the licorice scent and again when the water hit the blend and it became stronger but once again CommuniTEA has shown me to not judge a tea by its ingredients! The flavor is definitely there, but it didn't smack me in the face like I thought it would. The chamomile smooths out the bite of the fennel and anise and the lingering mint is just strong enough to be noticed but not overwhelming. Not a mother so I can't attest to its medicinal properties, but from what I've heard other lactation teas taste like this seems like it'd be a winner.
