I’m sure this is someone’s go to digestive tea, but it’s not mine! The taste was very strange, spicy and medicinal. I steer clear of senna leaf because I’ve heard more than my fair share of horror stories about it (infinite bathroom visits--no thank you, sir). Overall, I just didn’t like the taste and worried what might happen if I downed the whole cup, so I decided we were not meant to be. Happy Sipping!

I think the only down side to CommuniTEA is getting a good balance of ALL the ingredients in the packet. (sometimes a sample size packet is needed) Last year...I think I had too much of a certain ingredient that caused me some problems...wink, wink. It was not a good experience! However, this year it was enjoyable with a some honey. I am not sure this is a tea I would normally purchase. For stomach issues...I will stick with ginger tea. Happy to have tried happy belly and happy it was better this time around.

27 Nov ‘20 communiTEA review: The inside of my communiTEA packet appeared to have all the ingredients shown on the tea website. Lots of orange peels were noted.
When hot, not much flavor was noted initially. So I added a little honey to make my tummy even happier and bring out flavors. When warm, licorice and aniseed flavors were very strong. The Pu’erh flavors added some interesting tastes to the mix in the background. Ginger zings were gearing up. The orange peels added some nice citric effects at the end. It was getting pretty busy in my cup. This was a pretty weird and not exactly pleasant tasting drink. I guess if it’s weird tasting, it must be good for you. My belly made some gurgling noises, though! (5 mins @ 212ºF, 1/2 tsp honey)

I tried this tea the day after struggling with an all-day case of on and off nausea. Though I was feeling much better, I still felt a little off. Based on flavor alone, I would not reach for this tea when I’m nauseated. I can’t even say I would reach for it if I were feeling overfull. The dominant flavor in this tea for me was the aniseed; it tasted like drinking sweet Italian sausage - not a flavor that would be particularly appealing when one is nauseated or overfull. Plus, it left an odd medicinal coating on my tongue on the aftertaste. Did it help right the off feeling in my tummy? I guess so, but only after some additional stomach pains a few hours later and, well, there can be such a thing as TMI in a review.

I was a little concerned when I noted ginger and licorice in the ingredients. Although I frequently like green tea, teas with ginger or licorice can be hit or miss for me. I decided to give this tea a shot in spit of my misgivings.
This tea was steeped for 5 minutes at 212°F. 1 tsp of tea sugar was added to a 10 oz mug before steeping.
The initial aroma after I was done steeping the tea was extremely unpleasant. I believe that it was mostly the licorice and ginger I smelled, since I usually like the aroma of green tea.
Tasting the tea strengthened the dislike that I had acquired from the tea's aroma. I'm sure the loveliness of the green tea was hiding under there somewhere, but that was overpowered by the unpleasantness of the ginger and licorice.
I still couldn't get past the smell of the tea and ended up dumping the tea after a couple of sips.

Taken for purpose
This tea is a medicine
That is pleasant, too
Not a fave, per se
But it sure can grow on you
As you feel better!
OR
Oh I ate too much!
I now have horrid regrets
About that dessert
My stretchy pants stretched
They now fit Santa Claus, too!
What’s a girl to do?
Take a deep breath, wait!
Nope that doesn’t help at all
I just popped a seam
Drink Happy Belly!
It helps your tummy settle
Better than Pepto!
One warning for you
Note senna helps digestion
Plan for the bathroom
Drink on a day off
Or the evening instead
Plan it out, wisely

This tea's very helpful when it comes to relieving stomach pains. Otherwise, it's got a really medicinal taste that might not be pleasant for anything else.

This is a nice calming, belly soothing blend. Never had senna leaf or slippery elm before and I really enjoyed them in this blend.

Pleasantly sweet, herbal, and citrusy. I just wish there was zero caffeine here because it would make an excellent bedtime tea

The flavor is bitter, but I always feel great after drinking a cup of this after binging unhealthy food.

Not a 'yummy' flavor for me but useful in times of tummy problems.

Helps my stomach feel better and moves everything along without problems. The mild earthy and a little spice helps it go down nicely, but like the other reviews said, best to drink it while it's warm.

Yes this tea is a bit medicinal but it is by no means gross. It’s honestly pretty good.. I have consistent stomach problems and this is my go to for that, always seems to help get me back on track!

Subtle flavors and warm feelings best describe this tea. I was admittedly skeptical when purchasing this tea - I have recently started low-dose chemo and have been experiencing some pretty relentless nausea. My friend recommended this tea to me, and I love it! I've tried other similar blends before, but I enjoy this one much more. The flavor is not overwhelming, which I was worried about. The ginger is perfect. Is this tea a cure for nausea? No, but it does make it a little easier to handle. Will be purchasing more of this in the future and recommending it to friends as well. Thanks Adagio!

Really love Happy Belly and it does make my belly happy! It has a great herbal flavor to it and helps calm things down if you are feeling too full or uncomfortable. It does work well as an 'overnight' tea, so it is great to drink before bed.

The flavor is unique, but not necessarily tasty... it's the warm sensation you get from drinking it that makes it a good tea, and the flavor does grow on you the more you imbibe. Achieves the effect it promises -- the cautions of Senna should be heeded, but it didn't really pose a problem for me.

I m usually quite skeptical when it comes to these type of diet-based teas but I m genuinely shocked. It s not realistic to say that it has done any major changes but it really does make me feel better and I find I m able to digest things better when I follow this up with a meal

Something is not right with my stomach. I've felt nauseous since last night and it keeps getting worse. So I opted for a cup of Happy Belly today in the hope that it would calm my stomach. Lord almighty...
After all the reviews, I expected this blend to taste horrible but the flavor is surprisingly nice. Sweet with a bit of earthiness and spice. I happily sipped away and laid down to what I had hoped would be a peaceful rest. Nope. Not too long after drinking my cup of tea, I began experiencing hellacious abdominal cramps. I ran to the bathroom. After 5 anguishing trips, I can say that I am now more familiar with my bathroom's decor than I have ever been before. Also, I need to stop buying so many bath and body products.
Safe to say, this tea made my stomach feel worse. Dealing with both cramps and nausea is making me exhausted. Someone please put me out of my misery!
Edit: I had another of my infamous stomach aches. I was desperate so I tried this tea again. This time around, it actually helped. My stomach felt better in minutes. Also: I didnt have the digestive issues I previously experienced. Not sure why but it didnt even cause cramps this time. Yay!

I was apprehensive at first, noting senna leaf among the ingredients, known for clearing out the pipes. I found it soothing to my infamously frequently upset stomach. Liked the ginger note, actually enjoyed a rooibos tea for once, and got a kick out of watching chunks or seeds of something (perhaps slippery elm?) develop a fun el coat and bounce around the brewing basket.

It definitely soothes the belly. Not too sure if I'm liking the taste enough. Not for everyone
