I really love that this tea is available as an option for folks, enjoyed it
It was very meh for me. Perhaps I would enjoy it more if I was more interested in the medicinal benefits.
Now this is a tea I want to buy for real! I tried it through a free week of Communitea and boy, does it settle my stomache! Not one planning on kids, but this is a drink thats great for my health issues!
As not the target audience-- not as good as some of the other blends. The fennel and spearmint seemed to be fighting, and the added flavors / sweetness did not help. It's slightly overdone, too many flavors for the space. My co-taster described the smell as 'when the turkey stuffing goes bad.'
CommuniTEA sample: 5 min @ 212 F, second steep for 10 min @ 212 F. I wasn't sure what my expectations were, but this tea sure was great! Very sweet, and if you like herbal flavors, this tea is a very herbal tea. The herbal notes within the spearmint and fennel seed are the dominant flavors, but I also could find the lemon verbena as a related herbal flavor. Rooibos also has some herbal/medicinal notes, but I think the spearmint and fennel really brought out the sweet, floral, almost vanilla qualities I find in rooibos!
Ok I'm liking the mint, but the combo of mint and fennel is a little off. Still good though.
This tea is not my thing, but I don't tend to like anything with rosehip. I did steep it closer to 10 minutes- perhaps a shorter steep time would help mitigate the almost sickly sweetness? I think it has potential for people looking for a sweet tasting tea with no sugar, but it's just not a flavor profile I enjoy personally.
Soft, gentle and soothing, this is a mild herbal tea that is quite tasty!
Took me a bit to figure out that this wasn't a Dickens fandom blend. Haha. I'm usually skeptical of teas with fennel, but this was a pleasant surprise. Nice.
I'm always game for a Raspberry Leaf Medicinal blend for healing and balancing needs! This blend had such yummy digestion boost property ingredients, too!
The name alone had me having great expectations and I was not disappointed. I will keep a little on hand
Tea too was okay but not really my choice to drink.
Honestly suprised that I enjoyed this tea as I usually can't drink anything with rooibos. Nice mint and herbal flavors with rooibos showing up as the tea cooled.
It smells good but I don't like fennel. The peppermint was the stronger flavor and could tolerate drinking the tea. It's not my favorite and I won't be purchasing.
I was a bit leery with trying this tea because I don't generally like fennel seed. But I did enjoy it and could taste the lemon verbena.
A fruity tea with hints of lemon and mint. It is a very Refreshing tea. I enjoyed with honey.
I experienced a nice fresh scent of spearmint when I opened the package. There is a certain flavor I’m not enjoying though but I cannot put my finger on it.
Such a pleasant cup. I love fennel and mint and was delighted my great expectations for this tea were met. Mild, aromatic, well blended. The hint of citrus is sweet. The mint cuts the rooibos (yay!) and I love that there is no hibiscus in this. Consistent taste every sip. 5 min. at 212°F
I was not expecting this to be this good considering the different strong flavors put together. A little sugar in it and this is more relaxing than I could have imagined.
When I opened my CommuniTEA packet, I was met with the aroma of spearmint. I steeped the tea for about 5 minutes and it produced a red cup of tea. I really enjoyed the flavor of this tea! The spearmint, lemon, and fennel blend really nicely together and the rooibos adds a bit of sweetness to it as well.
It's not unpleasant, but I don't think I'd reach for it unless I needed some digestion help.
The sweet mint and licorice flavor of this tea are very calming and the added benefit of calming the stomach make it a great decaffeinated sip.
this is so wonderful to sip, love the flavor and aftertaste. My parakeets love the dregs with a little millet atop. You can see a picture of them enjoying it in my profile pics.
I like everything that's in this tea but for me it had an awful aftertaste and was much too sweet. Tried again today 2/7/2024 and my first reaction was Wow is that sweet! Still no.
medicinal and not for me! not at all bad if you need it as medicine though
CommuniTEA Sample: A very nice herbal blend with notes of mint and fennel. There were some sweet notes that were a bit surprising, but really enjoyed the blend.
Spearmint aromas were noted in my communiTEA packet.
I had 3.09 grams of ingredients, enough for a medium strength 12 ounce steep. I steeped at 212°F as recommended for eight minutes.
When hot, sweet fennel, spearmint, rooibos woody, and raspberry leaf flavors were mild. No rose hip or lemon tartness was noted. I added ¼ teaspoon of sugar to bring out the flavors while increasing the sweetness of the fennel.
When warm, moderate fennel licorice flavors were noted. Mild rooibos woody flavors were noted. Raspberry leaves were slightly bitter. Spearmint flavors were moderate. A mild tartness was noted from the rose hips and lemon verbena.
The raspberry leaves and rooibos provided an excellent base tea, and the fennel added to the overall sweetness to this blend. This was a very well-blended herbal tea … it helped to settle my tummy from last night’s spicy Ugandan chicken curry. Good to the last drop! (8 mins @ 212ºF, ¼ tsp sugar)
Not being a fan of fennel, I am a little apprehensive after seeing all the ingredients pour into the infuser (there are a great many fennel seeds). Turns out, the other ingredients keep the fennel flavor from taking over. This is a delightful tea, with more of a fruity and minty flavor. No need for sweetener, (5 mins @212ºF).
Fennel and mint <3 both are lovely additions to any tea! Though I doubt I'll order more of this
Very medicinal tea but that's the good stuff working, not something I would reach for but great if you need it.
Right at the tail end of NYE celebrations I can certainly feel a food baby percolating. Luckily, this tea is exactly what the doctor's prescribed! I love the sweet minty flavor that is very reminiscent of Minty Comfort, another really good wellness tea offered by Adagio.
Open the package and the aroma of peppermint and spearmint spring forth. It was a pleasant tasting tea - I enjoyed the mint mix. CT 12/31/23.
this blend was a refreshing minty yet sweet tea. The fruity flavors were slightly overpowered by the spearmint, but overall they went really well together. A great blend to kick off the new year!
So excited to try this tea as part of the communiTea... I have always wanted to try it. I really enjoyed it with honey. I love minty teas and found this to be soothing.
Wow, what a surprise! Nice minty aroma. All the ingredients are in the mix. 5 min @ 212. This is a sweet mint tea. The spearmint is milder than peppermint and this blend is delicious hot. I would recommend this tea and would like to try it iced.
This tea just didn’t appeal to me. I’m sure it is good for settling stomachs but the combination of flavors doesn’t work for me.
The flavors blend well -- not big on rose hips and fennel, can go either way on rooibos. Nice subtle and sweet minty tea with a bit of a fruity aftertaste. It did help with my sour stomach.
I taste a bunch of mint and sugary sweetness. Nice tea. Seems good for a cold but unsure if I would get again.
As a wellness tea goes, this blend is pretty good. There's an intense natural sweetness to it that's almost startling. The mint comes through clearly, but it's complemented by a subtle undertone from the fennel. As the brew cools, the fennel comes more to the forefront and blends in a way with the mint that makes this taste more chalky. Hot, though, it's a good sip. I can't speak to its effects, however; I'm not currently expecting anything great. (7 minutes @ 212F)
A lovely minty tea that is not overpowering. I do not notice the fennel or I probably would not give this many stars. steeped at 212 F x 10 min, no sweetener needed.
This tea has a lot of ingredients that seem to mingle together well. When hot , it has more mint flavor. As it cools, you can taste the fennel .
A very sweet medicinal tea. I probably wouldn't buy this as there are other teas that I prefer for digestive issues.
This tea was a surprise to me. It is a pleasant blend that helps when your stomach is feeling a little off. The minty flavor is very soothing.
This is a surprisingly delicious tea! It's sweet, minty and I can't taste red rooibos.
I’m not sure how I feel about this one. This is the first time I tried this, I believe. The red rooibos is mostly in the background, thankfully. I’m not a fan of spearmint in my tea, but with all the other ingredients it was ok. There is a sweetness to it, I assume from the fennel, and a light fruity minty taste to it. This probably isn’t one I’d reach for personally, but I can appreciate all the possible health benefits from the blend.
Much sweeter than I was expecting. An interesting minty tea with hints of fennel. I would enjoy this with an upset stomach like I do with other mint teas.
I really missed out on this tea because the baby shop is closed for me but I would’ve loved this! The fennel makes it interesting! I am a bit bored by straight peppermint tea and this gives interesting twist to it.
The doctors warnings on these teas make me hesitant to try. I sampled this tea as part of the CommuniTea December 2023 box.
This tea has a a fragrant aroma of fruit, mint and spice. The flavor is smooth and sweet, with notes of raspberry, lemon and rooibos. The spearmint leaves add a refreshing and cooling touch. The fennel seed and rose hips give some tanginess and warmth to the blend. The lemon verbena adds a citrusy and floral finish.
This is a nice herbal blend for anytime. Not just when you’re expecting. It’s very fresh tasting with a lemony, minty sweet flavor.
The rooibos and spearmint make this a sweet cup. The raspberry leaves add an earthy taste. I pickup on the lemon verbena more as it cooled.
