CommuniTEA Sample: Quite an enjoyable sip today with a bit of mint and a bit of tart. Not strong with any one flavor, but that may be due to the water at work not being quite boiling, so maybe it muted some of the notes. Overall, a nice tea to sip on during afternoon training sessions.

I feel really bad about it, but this tea just was not for me. I like-ish mint, but definitely have to be in the mood for it. Today was not a mint-mood day, and that was the dominating flavor. Next was a tie between the sort of tart tang of hibiscus, and a weird… bitter… savory… unidentified flavor/texture that might’ve been eucalyptus, but might not have. Even adding rock sugar didn’t bring this down to something I could tolerate, so I gave up and handed it to my hunk. He, however, loves all things mint and likes it.

This is an interesting tea, though it doesn't make me particularly...dreamy. The color is quite a striking shade of red, thanks to the hibiscus. My first sip initially made me think I was drinking a liquified candy cane; the peppermint seemed that strong with sour lemon notes from the hibiscus and/or lemon balm in the background. As the tea cooled, however, those sour lemon notes came to the forefront and the peppermint, sadly, retreated into the background. It made for an interesting drinking experience, but not one I'm likely to repeat.
UPDATE (6/16/22): Today I tried this cold-steeped, and that method of preparation made a significant difference. The flavors were significantly more muted, even as it gradually warmed to room temperature. Still not really my cup (or glass, in this case) of tea but better.

I'm not so sure about this one. The peppermint is strong, and almost dusty tasting.

The mint and hibiscus were really overpowering in this tea and it wasn't a flavor combination I enjoyed. When I drank my cup it was really medicinal and slightly sour, not one I would pick myself.

despite being a tea meant to calm you down, i decided to cold brew it. it was a little too hot in the day to have it hot, but it was surprisingly very pleasant!

Another over night cold brew for me. The leaves are absolutely gorgeous and colorful. I am not able to drink this with out sweetener because it is just too tart. The peppermint, lavender and tartness are a unique flavoring mixture. This blend is giving me a different experience in my cup that I have been pondering if I like it or not.

I cold brewed this blend overnight. I was happy to see that the mint did not overshadow everything else. There is a mint taste at the beginning of the sip that ends in a fruity taste at the end. If it can aid in calming, it would be good to drink for that, but it isn't my favorite.

The peppermint on my sample was a bit overbearing. With that said, I really think this is a great tea for when you are sick or have an upset tummy.

More and more I’m discovering that I really enjoy minty teas. This one is no exception. The mint is definitely the primary flavor, but thankfully doesn’t overpower the fruit flavors. They bring a nice balance to the cup, and a complexity that would otherwise be missing. This was soothing and refreshing, and a nice tea before bedtime.

Steeped at 180° for 5 minutes. A nice blend to have with a little extra water and ice. The rooibos stays in the background while the hibiscus and mint come to the front. Lemony citrus flavor comes through on the finish. An enjoyable refreshing cup.

UPDATED from 3/22/21: Very lemon, minty and licorice smell wafts up from the open CommuniTEA packet. The many beautiful ingredients spill into the infuser. They steep into a striking clear deep scarlet almost blood red color. At first the flavor is a bit too tart. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) evens out this amazing combo of flavors, so this tastes more like a sweet tart candy with a floral aroma and licorice in the finish. What a blend of fun bold flavors, not one stands out over the others. As it cools the lemon and orange join to play with the mint on my tongue. With no caffeine, this is a lovely tea to drink hot after dinner, or drink cold on ice on a warm day. Really enjoyed this cup of tea! (10 mins @ 212ºF + sweetener).

I like slightly tart teas in the summer, so this can be very refreshing.

There is so many flavors in this tea with a constant stream of peppermint to carry it through. I get maybe flavors of citrus, rooibos, hibiscus and lavender. Maybe flavors are when the tea flavors go in and out and all you think is 'maybe that's...' Overall, I think it is good tea and promotes thoughtful daydreams. (212F for 7min)

Daydream
Recommended Steep: 5-10 minutes @212°F
I steeped for recommended time (about 9 minutes) at the recommended temperature in approximately 11 oz of water with 1 tsp of rock/tea sugar.
The name of today’s CommuniTEA sample made me smile. The idea of daydreams makes me happy.
Upon opening this offering smells moderately of peppermint, with maybe some licorice in the background. It is a pretty tea and all the ingredients appeared to be present and accounted for, as far as I could tell. I wasn’t sure how I felt about licorice in the blend, but it didn’t really make itself felt overmuch.
While still quite hot from the steep moderate rooibos aroma was noted. It was a pretty, purplish tea, maybe from the hibiscus. For me the rooibus, peppermint and hibiscus were the most noticeable flavors, and I think the hibiscus did a lot to bring the tea together (I’m finding I seem to like hibiscus in my blends). The tea is a bit tart, but nothing a little sweetener can’t handle. I never would have thought to put these ingredients together, but the do work well. This was an enjoyable sip. 4 stars from me.

What a lovely tea! Usually I don't like hibiscus but the mint and other floral notes covered up the tanginess and gives it enough sweetness that the hibiscus mostly adds a vibrant pop of color. I really like floral teas and this one is no exception.

The citrus-mint blend is kind of odd to me, but it does work. I have a hard time really pinning down and describing the flavor. It's not bad! I like the tart and tangy elements.

Update 2022: I am a green tea lover. This tea is doing a great job of converting me to be a tisane-guy! Beautiful aromas. It is such a relaxing drink. As I said before, rock sugar brings out the flavors. It is not necessary at all, but certainly makes it more delicious.
------------------------
This is a great tea for the evening. No caffeine to worry about and the scents of lavender, passion flower, and lemon balm are so relaxing. Superb blend of flavors and just a touch of rock sugar (2 or 3 pebbles) highlights the flavor. Highly recommended.

I ordered a sample of this because it was offered at 50 perfect off. I'm not usually an herbal tea drinker, especially when it contains licorice. It brewed up in a beautiful color because of the hibiscus. This is enjoyable but not sure if it something I would drink routinely.

I find this to be relaxing without it being something that knocks me out, which was a concern I had. It's delicious and tastes quite different when sweetened or unsweetened as well as at different temperatures. You may need to play with it a bit to see what you prefer. I prepare it differently depending on the time of day, going sweet at night.
