Adagio AutoSip™ — Important Safety Information, Terms of Use, and Limitations of Liability
Please read this notice carefully prior to use of the Adagio AutoSip™ (the “Device”). By wearing, activating, or otherwise engaging with the Device, the user (“User”) acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions.
The Device is a wearable mechanical accessory designed to assist with the periodic retrieval and delivery of beverages, specifically tea, from a proximate location to the User. The Device operates according to internal timing, environmental assumptions, and proprietary beverage-prioritization protocols, and does not guarantee successful, accurate, or socially convenient execution of such actions.
User acknowledges that the Device may initiate movement without prior notice. Such movement may occur during professional engagements, personal interactions, or moments requiring stillness, discretion, or composure. The Device is not capable of interpreting social cues, workplace norms, or personal boundaries, and shall not be held responsible for any resulting misunderstandings, reputational impacts, or raised eyebrows.
The Device is intended for use with properly prepared tea beverages placed within a reasonable and stable proximity. The manufacturer makes no representation regarding the Device’s ability to distinguish tea from non-tea substances, including but not limited to coffee, soup, decorative liquids, or experimental infusions. User assumes all risks associated with unintended beverage selection.
Grip strength, trajectory, and sip velocity may vary. The Device may, at times, exhibit enthusiasm exceeding user expectation. The manufacturer shall not be liable for spills, splashes, over-sipping, under-sipping, or tea-related incidents involving temperature extremes, including beverages that are excessively hot, insufficiently cooled, or emotionally complex.
The Device is not to be used while operating vehicles, heavy machinery, precision instruments, or during any activity where involuntary arm movement could result in harm, loss, or an awkward explanation. Use during formal presentations is discouraged unless confidence is exceptionally high.
The Device is intended solely for its described beverage-assistance function. It is not designed, calibrated, or approved for alternative uses involving repetitive motion, sustained grip, or applications that could be construed as unrelated to tea consumption. Any such use is strictly outside the scope of intended operation and voids all warranties, whether express, implied, or imagined.
The Device does not possess awareness, intent, or judgment. Any perception that the Device is “choosing” when to act, “insisting” on tea consumption, or “interrupting” the User is a misinterpretation of automated processes and should not be anthropomorphized, encouraged, or debated.
User assumes full responsibility for ensuring that surrounding objects are positioned appropriately. The Device may interact with items it reasonably identifies as a “cup-like object,” and makes no guarantees regarding accuracy of this classification.
No warranty is provided that the Device will improve hydration, increase productivity, enhance well-being, or foster a deeper appreciation of tea, though such outcomes may occur incidentally.
In the event of unexpected behavior, excessive initiative, or movements that could be described as “overly committed,” User is advised to remove the Device promptly and place it in a neutral, non-beverage-adjacent environment.
By using the Adagio AutoSip™, User acknowledges acceptance of these terms and affirms that tea consumption, while important, is ultimately a shared responsibility between human and machine.
