When Teavana was around, they had a few tumblers that were similar to this design, but a little more structurally flawed. This tumbler removes the extras that made the leaks more prevalent and makes it easier to steep the tea by flipping the tumbler. I'd say simplicity pays off with being able to control the steep more easily.
I love this! Lightweight, nice blue color. I carry me around my house & enjoy my tea while performing tasks.
I am very disappointed that Adagio has decided to get rid of the old ToasTEA travel mug and replace it with this 'travel infuser'. The old ToasTEA travel mug was perfect - it would keep tea hot for a long time, could easily be sipped from on the go, and fit into my car cup holders perfectly. The new product does not have a travel mug top, making it useless for car use. If Adagio wanted to create a product that was this different from the existing ToastTea travel mug, they should have come up with a new name for it. I had been assuming that this was just a lid redesign, but that you would still be able to drink through the top. ETA: I thought it was possible that I was overlooking something when I placed my order, but going back through my order history list, the links to the original ToasTEA travel infusers (travel mug style) now link to this product. Changing the product this dramatically while still calling it the same product is unacceptable.

I carry this literally everyday!! My only complaints are: small pieces of tea get through the filter on occasion and i wish it came in a larger size.
I haven’t found a way to tighten the lid enough to not have water leak out during infusion. The idea is clever but the execution is lacking.
In theory I like the design updates to the ToasTEA from the old version. In practice this version introduces some disappointments. I like about this version that you do not have to drink through the tea leaves in the infuser like the previous version, and it seems to hold a little more water than the old version without the water level reaching the infuser when right side up. However, like other reviewers, I am disappointed that this is not a travel mug design; the tumbler must be completely open to drink from, making this design less travel/car friendly than the previous version. I have also found that, if the rubber seal is wet AT ALL when you close the thermos it will leak when you turn it upside down to infuse no matter how tight you close the lid (I have bottomed it out and still have this problem). However if you do make sure that the seal is dry when you close it, the leaks are prevented if you close the lid tight enough. I have also found that I get a lot of tea/water spluttering from the lid whenever I open it after infusion, and the lid being shorter than the old version makes it harder to keep your fingers clear of escaping steam. I recommend using a towel when opening the thermos to keep your hands safe and clean. I do like about the new version that it has a 'simpler' design than the old version making it easier to clean thoroughly, but I somehow find that using this version is much messier than using the old version for the reasons mentioned above. I always have to have a towel or several paper towels handy when using this new design. All in all I very much prefer the old version of the ToasTEA and wish that Adagio would continue to sell the 'OG ToasTEA' instead of or in addition to this design. Some good ideas here trying to find the perfect travel infuser design but in practice this one really feels like one step forward and two steps back to me.
These thermos keep my tea hot and are a perfect size for traveling love the colors also.
Keeps my tea warm for a very long time, perfect for work so I can have hot tea on my lunch break. Durable too, I've dropped mine quite a few times and its still going strong.
I love the fact that I can have great tea all day long!!! After my fourth time brewing tea I notice a small leak and unfortunately it is still leaking. I’ve tried to tighten the top more but it doesn’t stop the leak!! Great for tea I just wish it didn’t leak!!
Works better than expected. You really do have to make sure not to go over the max line, though, or you’ll have hands full of hot water. Easy to clean, though. It’s quickly becoming my new favorite decanter.
Although I'm happy with my purchase of the new ToasTEA, I do find it lacking in one major area. It misses the mark as a travel cup since one has to completely unscrew the lid in order to drink from it. It's fine if I'm making some tea to take with me to drink at work later in the day, but if wanted to use the ToasTEA on a long car trip, say, it would not fit the bill. Still, it serves the purpose for which I bought it. It allows me to brew tea in the morning to take with me for later.
The infuser is just as described. My issue with it is that I misread the description and thought I could sip from it. The fault was mine. I will use as directed.
I love the new 2025 design of the toasTEA. I ordered blue and I would call the color cornflower. There's a water max line inside, which is 16 oz, and its clearly distinguished by the change in diameter. The top has a fine enough strainer that it worked well for rooibos. There wasn't any hot steam escape or hot liquid sputter when opening it. The toasTEA is comfortable to hold and kept my tea hot even with the lid off. It's easy to remove the strainer to clean out the leaves and wash the top. The body is too narrow to fit my hand in but cleans easy enough with soap and water. I definitely see myself using it every day and will be ordering another to use at work.
