the top got way too hot to handle although it does mean that it kept the tea hot for awhile.
Makes 2 cups not ideal for bigger groups. It does work well and holds heat well
This is just the perfect size for a large cup of your favorite tea. It's both easy to use and easy to keep clean. The shape itself is really beautiful and looks great on the table. Don't be worried about its durability. I have used this multiple times per day for more than a year, and it shows no signs of wear.
I have had a couple Ingenuitea and over time the plastic gets cloudy and the valve starts to leak. Came to website looking for something to steep my nightly herbals and found this teapot. I LOVE it! It is so simple (as the name implies) but is so useful and flexible. Just the right size for a single mug, easy to clean, and no long term durability issues.
Got one of these for a friend and they're quite happy with it, I know I love mine.
Borosilicate is nice for heating, good quality build. A little expensive all things considered, but nevertheless quite good

This teapot is so convenient to use and allows you to see how strong your brew is. It is my new favorite teapot. The only drawback I have is that the lid can become a little too hot to touch and therefore difficult to add a little more water. That being said I would definitely give as a gift due to the easy clean up and the beauty of it đź’š
I very much enjoy this little teapot. It works perfectly for a cuppa tea and is easier to clean than the immersion infusers. I notice I'm using less tea by having the tea leaves free floating in the pot vs an infuser. The lid screens out the leaves quite nicely, even very small bits remain in the pot once you pour the tea. It works well for my needs.
Picked this up and love how easy this is...it feels like a chemistry lab beaker, and handles dishwasher very well. Works great for both my black and rooibos teas.
I'd like to give this 4.5 stars instead of 5 if I could, but I don't want to dock it down to 4. I love the fact that it's made of glass, so it doesn't stain like the IngenuiTEA does, and it works great to filter out the tea leaves and keep them in the little pot, BUT I hate how some of the tea leaves always get stuck in the top of the lid and can't be scraped out with a spoon, so you're always missing a few leaves for your second steeping. It's a pretty minor annoyance. Overall, I like this teapot.
This teapot is great. It gives lots of room for steeping and unfurling. Very happy with this purchase!
Easy to use and easy to clean - fill with water and microwave without the lid, then add tea + lid, steep, then pour. Glass seems a bit thin.

Gave this to my sister since she is getting back into drinking teas. She loves this! And I have to admit, it's pretty darn clever. Steep and pour! I like it better than the plastic ones that fit over the cup and take a while to drain.
Love this teapot. An easy way to brew at my desk during the work day, and I love watching the tea unfurl through the glass. Filters great, large enough for two decent-sized cups. Great resource.

I love my SimpliciTEA Teapot. Being able to see the color of my brew is super helpful! Leaves are relatively easy to clean out due to diameter of teapot.

Love this. It strains really well and makes about a mug and a half, which is perfect.
A nice convenient way to brew tea. Washing it is easier than with many teapots, since the shape is streamlined and the filter lid is shallow and easy to reach into. I like the flexibility of leaves floating in water to brew and then being filtered out, rather than requiring a minimum water level to reach an infuser basket.
Best one person tea pot. Easy to clean and very durable. Perfect for all loose leaf teas with minimal sediment.
Love this little pot. My only regret is that it only makes what we consider a 'small' cup of tea in our house. Easy to use and super easy to clean.
Update . . . with this little beauty my son has started making his own cups of tea instead of giving me the sad puppy eyes to get me to make them for him. :D
I've been using this for all my teas and it's the best small tea pot I've ever had
Works about as well as any tea strainer. I do wish it were a bit larger. It would also be helpful if it had a fill line so I could make it the same everytime and not overfill. I imagine this would work well if you like to infuse your tea multiple times however the lid does get very hot so you cant take it off or clean it immediately.

As other reviewers have said, this teapot is the simplest, most elegant way to brew tea for one. Brews easy, pours easy, and cleanup after is easier than anything else I ve used. If you make sure not to fill beyond the size of your cup this pot can be used for gong fu style brewing as easily as western style.
Love, love, love this little teapot! It's just perfect for making a cup or mugful at a time. It's great that you can watch the leaves unfurl and the tea get darker. Easy to see when to stop brewing. The strainer works really well and doesn't clog up, but finer particles can sneak through. The inside recessed rim is slightly annoying as it holds leaves but it's easy to rinse out, if not wipe out.

Best steeper we ve used in some time. I recommend it if anyone likes loose leaf tea. Also this site is just amazing period.
I love using this for teas that I want to give a bit more room to steep like oolongs or white teas with big leaves. Easy to clean and there s something so satisfying about see your tea steep freely. :)
Concept is fine, but when pouring, some leaves sneak through into the cup. I have to filter them out using a fine mesh sifter when pouring and even that doesn’t work as fanning dust still gets through. When making a second steep, you have to use a spoon to remove any tea stuck inside the lid and add it back into the teapot. Otherwise it cleans easily. I actually tried to “live” with these issues for over a month, but I got to be too much of a hassle.

I think this tea making device is simple and easy to use, but I do have some suggestions on what could be improved. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It would be nice if the cup was a little wider to make it easier to stick your hand in to clean it. I do have large hands for a woman, so if you have smaller hands, then you probably wouldn't have this problem. The other thing I didn't like is that there is a ridge along the top where the lid/streamer mushrooms out. It's kinda hard to get into the nook to get all the leaves out. If you rinse it a few times, they come out. But I use this at work and it would be nice if I could just dump the leaves out and wipe it clean, but both of these things make that difficult. I could also wish that they had oz markings, but that's easy enough to figure out. 8 oz is 3/4 inch below the small lettering, all the way to the top (about a quarter inch below the spout) is 16 oz.
This is a great little almost-teapot. I like being able to see how close I am to overflowing my cup, which was my main issue with IngenuiTEA.
I adore this little teapot. It’s just the right size for a small brew. The lid as the filter is genius. I am very happy with my purchase.
Very easy to clean. I was not sure how well it would keep the tea leaves out but the rubber gasket and the the filter holes work very well. Only really fine Mate and Rooibos teas have gotten through the holes for me. Repeat steeping can be a bit tricky as after pouring the tea leaves can be between the bottom to the holes in the lid and have to be pushed back down.
This is really convenient to use and allows for multiple steeps easily.
It s okay! It works well for the first steep, but when I want to lift the lid and add more water, the lid is made of metal and not insulated with any sort of rubber grip so you have to use an oven mitt to open it. I personally would have designed the lid a little differently. I might add my own rubber bands to the sides, which is a little annoying. OTHERWISE it works very well.
I love this. Having gone through a few of the Ingenuiteas over the year, this is a vast improvement. Put in leaves, add appropriate temperature water, wait the right length of time, do NOT remove the lid, pour directly into teacup. Beautiful. Simple. Fine mesh catches most everything (a bit of rooibos can get through but). Perfect size to fill my 14+ oz. cup when I don't need to make an entire pot of something. I now have one at home and at the office. You can easily double (or more) the amount of leaves to make a stronger tea or a concentrate for making iced tea.
