This is my first cast iron tea pot. I really like how deep and wide the diffuser basket is. In my oasts pots you had to make nearly a full pot every time to properly steep, but you don't
have to in this pot. The iron holds heat well but not too well to drink in a reasonable time.

Heavy and stay very hot, which is the purpose. Two small cups that match are quaint for you and a friend. Sometimes, however, I choose a larger cup when I use this pot for myself and a late night of work when I want the tea to stay hot.

I got just the teacups, and I quite like them. However, one came slightly rusted on the edge (minor). Also, they aren't the best for drinking the tea directly after it's made, but does well if you get a warmer for you teapot.

Inside the spout rust.i thought the whole inside was suppose to be glazed.everthing inside was glazed except the spout.

I love cast iron and I love teapots. This adorable classic Japanese-style teapot is petite - so cute - the perfect size for a 20 oz mug of tea.

So far so good! Since I started working from home I depend on having hot tea in the afternoons to keep me going. This is a perfect size for a couple of cups. I drink slowly so the cast iron helps retain heat. Although I do use a hot plate to keep warm to keep the heat at peak.
★★★☆☆
I bought Nara Teapot for friends but they did not like it. Their complaint was that the product was made in China and they were afraid that the paint will be extracted into the tea.

Love this set, cups a little smaller than anticipated but all in all love it!
★★★★★
I love this pot so much! It is much smaller than I had anticipated but as the only tea drinker in the house, it gives me a perfect amount for one to two cups and the water stays hot for a really long time. It's also easy to take care of and beautiful!
★★★★★
Hefty, well built teapot that retains heat well. Easy to use and holds a perfect amount of tea for one session. Just be sure to clean the inside well.
★★★★☆
Absolutely beautiful tea set! It is very well crafted and I definitely recommend getting the matching cups. However, I have only had it a few weeks and I've noticed a tiny tiny amount of rusting forming already. It's easily scraped off and I could surely do a better job of drying it completely, but it does seem fast. Could totally be user error!
★★★★★
Really nice teapot. Make sure you dry it thoroughly or it will rust on the edges.

I love this little teapot it's so cute! I've been wanting a cast iron teapot for a long time and this one is perfect. It keeps the tea warm for a long time and I don't notice any negative impact on the flavor of the tea. It's also very easy to clean.
★★★★★
So beautiful and makes the perfect amount for several of the matching small tea cups I got with it, or one big mug of tea just for me.
★★★★☆
I love looking at this teapot. Very stunning! I am not rating it 5 stars, though, because it doesn't keep the tea hot as long as I thought it would.

Perfect teapot & adds an exquisite essence to the tea...
★★★★★
Excellent teapot, keeps the tea warm and is a beautiful addition to any collection of teaware.

We already have a very similar cast iron tea pot and wanted cups to match. The Nara black cups are nice. I would like the walls to be a little thicker, but I really have no complaint. They are attractive and functional to help enjoy hot tea.
★★★★★
This is a really awesome pot. Even more bad ass in person.

I LOVE this teapot. It has the weight and quality you would expect from a cast iron teapot, and it keeps my tea warm for a while so I can drink a pot solo sipping my way through rather slowly. The only downside to it is that for the first few uses a little bit of the lining strips away from the top where the lit meets the pot. Watch out for that when you are steeping and sipping.

I'm a big fan of the personaliTEA teapot I purchased from adagio, but I wanted to try a cast iron teapot every time a cold snap hit in wintertime. I wondered just how much warmer the cast iron could keep my tea to the last cup. This teapot has twice the heat retention of a ceramic pot, but it still gives me only about an hour to drink a warm to hot pot of tea without some additional heat to the bottom. I really love the weight of this teapot, though. It's a beautiful design, a terrific size, and unlike my ceramic or clay teapots, I don't have to worry about breaking or chipping it in a clumsy moment. Worth the purchase!

Everyone needs a ceremonial teapot like this one.

★★★★★
This is a very attractive and masculine set. The design is very elegant and sophisticated.
★★★★☆
A bit smaller than I expected but it is perfect for serving two. It keeps tea warm for a long time and is easy to handwash.
★★★★★
I haven't had any issues with the enamel or rust. The pot stays hot for ages and holds more than I thought. Mostly, I get to feel like a civilized person instead of trying to empty an entire pot into my biggest mug.
★★★★★
Perfect for making tea when sitting down with another person. Not the largest for a group, but perfect for one or two people. Good build quality.
★★★★★
a gift for a family member but its in my wishlist even though i have 3 tea pots already.
★★★★☆
Good teapot with the small hole in the cover (which is essential for any teapot to let the heat out slowly but not so fast). although a layer of coating near the lid came off. so I have to keep it dry to prevent some rust.
★★★☆☆
Cute little pot, I had to return it for a refund though. Adagio always extremely helpful with replacements and refunds!
★★★★★
Love this teapot! It keeps the tea warm and with the cast iron warmer the tea temp lasts a good deal of time.
★★★★★
Not only is the pot visually appealing, but is also practical. I noticed some have claimed that as a con it gets to hot. however, would you not say all material get hot when used in such a way? I would recommend this to anyone interested in a teapot that both works well and comes at a reasonable price.

This is the best tea pot I have ever had. The tea brews and stays hot for longer periods, it is great!
★★★★★
Beautiful little teapot. Very functional, heavy and well made. Keeps tea temperature for quite a while. Dry after each use. Cups are smaller than I expected but also well made and heavy.Overall, I'm very pleased with purchase and price

These teapots are incredible! Each one is so unique~ I like how each one is different. They are beautifully crafted and make for a stunning presentation. I enjoy using mine in the evening after a long day.

This traditional Japanese teapot is excellent. It's great for brewing small amounts of tea and for keeping your tea warm. The cast iron cups it comes with are beautiful and perfect for when you have friends over. Not to mention it's Japanese, and I love Japan :)
★★★★★
Cast iron teapots are fabulous for clumsy people. They also keep tea warm longer than ceramic teapots. This one in particular is very nice for the price. it's sleek and significantly cheaper than cast iron pots at Teavana.
★★★★★
The perfect size teapot for 2! I like the teapot's traditional hobnail design. Keeps the tea experience authentic. .D
★★★★☆
I love that it is very small and perfect for sharing with a friend (or partner), or for slowly enjoying a nice batch alone. It keeps heat very very well and doesn't affect the flavoring negatively like some inferior and sub standard teapots will. Also, it is built quite solidly, even for a cast iron teapot, and it has a rather deep infuser which is nice for those (like myself) who enjoy stronger batches of tea. Just be sure to dry it and wash it carefully-it rusts exceptionally quickly!

What a sexy little teapot! I love this thing! I don't like brewing tea in it because the strainer isn't fine enough for me. This works perfectly though when using your 16oz ingenuitea. Just empty your finished brew into the teapot for easier pouring, tasting, and extended warmth. The spout doesn't make messes or drip and keeps tea warm for double the time. A

I love the look and heft of this teapot. It's built solidly, maintains the temperature of the tea well and is easy to keep clean. I purchased it with the tea cups, which are equally well made. However, the cups transmit a lot of the heat of the tea and are not easy to hold in my hand.

A very nice-looking and sturdy feeling iron teapot. People mentioned some of the enamel coming off inside - this happened to me for the first few brews, but its stopped and is fine now. I suspect it was just coming off from near the top. Careful though, this thing gets hot! Looks great with the teacup set.

good stuff in good price, that's not the best option for tea lovers but you are going to enjoy !

This was my first teapot, and my first cast-iron teapot. There was very very little chipping under the handle, although the inside was in perfect condition. No glaze chips, no paint chipping, and the set was quite smaller than I had planned. I seasoned the seal with some nasty dragon sampler tea leaves and carried on with the everyday use of multiple teas. Since this pot holds heat, sometimes it can cook the tea if you let it sit too long. There were some things that came through the strainer but it didnt bother me. I would recommend this teapot to someone who can take care of things. On my second day, which is this morning, I finally made a good batch of tea with this pot after seasoning it.

I used this a few times before reviewing because some people had complained about the lacquer chipping. I've used this several times, and so far this is not a problem. This is now my favorite tea pot, as it keeps tea hot for ages, is sturdy, so I don't worry much about breaking it, and is easy to clean. I love it!
