I love this teapot design and color. I get a lot of compliments on it. Love the strainer (that can be replaced after heavy use)
This teapot is so beautiful. The color is magnificent. The only t hing I wish is that it was bigger. The heavy iron keeps the tea nice and hot, the brew is flavorful.
This is a really great cast iron teapot. Perfect for two cups and looks cute on my counter.
I think I prefer this little wonder over my other tea pot choices. I am finding that this little tea pot is my everyday go to pride and joy. It goes with me inside and outside of my home. It is just the right size for my sessions of work at my computer and I am sure it will serve as well while working in my garden this spring. This is one tough little sucker as well. It is made of cast iron which gives it a little weight. The inside of the pot as well as the inside of the lid have a beautiful black glaze baked onto it in order to seal the iron from your tea. As you can see from the web sight photo, the outside is not ornately done. It is rather understated but pleasant to look at. I also purchased the two small cast iron tea cups. A word of warning here! The heat transference in this cast iron is amazingly fast. It may catch you by surprise. So keep an 'Ove'Glove near by. And never tough one of these cups to your lips when it is filled with hot tea until you are quite sure that the temperature is low enough to do so. The pot itself will keep your tea comfortably warm for about an hour. The tea is steeped through a stainless steel basket that rest on the inside lip of the pot with the lid setting comfortably on top of both. This really is a very nice everyday pot. Highly recommended. Best wishes.
Works great, took it to work to make a pot of pu erh dante in the morning
I bought this for a friend and she loves it. You can boil the water directly in the tea pot--and the little blue pot with the cups is just so cute. The cups are very hot to the touch though-you almost need to use a little hot pad to pick up the cup.
Smaller than I expected. Great for making two cups at once but that's about it. Very attractive and keeps the tea warm. It helps if you put a cozy around it to hold in the heat.
I bought this for a friend and she LOVES it! The cast iron retains the heat wonderfully!
I actually bought the tea cups
Truly beautiful LOVE
The only reason I'm rating the pot good and not great was because for the first few uses there was some flaking off of the black coating on the inside. If you don't mind little pieces of tea in your drink (like me) then the strainer is a fine size. It's beautiful and keeps the tea warm for a long time :) the cups are adorable too!
Great tea pot and its a bargain compared to other over priced retailers (i.e. teavana) has the same cast iron body, same handle, and everything. It even has matching coated cast iron cups that are the quality of the other manufacturer.
A good, sturdy teapot, and the mesh filter makes it easier to brew a pot of tea, without having to fumble with filter bags. You'll still be using the bags for any rooibos tea, but everything else works without any mess.
Nice looking pot, but not very nice working steeper - need to fill the whole pot for leaves to brew. Also, really impossible to hold cups, as they go extremely hot!
Excellent quality and very beautiful. Great price.
I took it out of the box thinking it was quite small, but it holds more than I thought it would.
Absolutely beautiful! I got this for my mothers birthday and she loved it. I would recommend this for any tea drinker who has the money. Its a must have!
So far so good! I think I expected it to be a little bigger, but in practice, it makes more than enough tea to satisfy a reading session. It's beautiful, and has been easy to keep clean. I also got the matching cups, but they are tiny and too much work to keep refilling when I'd rather keep reading. They are also beautiful though and look great on my counter.
This teapot has stunning color and design. The charming size and heavy weight makes an ideal pot for tea with a friend. Holds temperature very well and the handle makes sure you won't get burned.
It's so pretty, and blue, and works so well with any kind of tea. I'm glad my preservation of frequent cups points paid off! 800 got me the teapot and four of those little cups. :D Thank you adagio.
Love this. Use it for all my japanese green teas. Very attractive.
Love the design and color, this was my first teapot and first time getting into tea's with this. Perfect size for my personal use and keeps the tea nice and warm for a while. Im only afraid of it rusting up or something but i believe i can prevent that with good upkeep. All around a nice long lasting teapot and i recommend it.
I bought this as a wedding gift for my brother and his wife, and they love it!
Cutest possession I own! Perfect amount of tea every time. This pot equals about eight of the matching cups, or one and one half regular mugs. This has already been less wasteful of tea brewed for one person, because usually you want more than one cup but less than a pot. Also perfect for tasting teas. Only downside is that it conducts heat so well, that you have to wait a few minutes so you don't burn yourself on the cup.
It's very pretty and kept my tea hot for at least an hour. It might have kept it warm longer, but I drank it too fast. I'm a little bit annoyed that it is enameled on the inside because I wanted one without. After finishing my last cup of tea, I found a piece of the enamel in my cup... *Updated review 5 months later* The teapot doesn't have any rust on it at all like others I've had even though I have left water in it several times accidentally. T only piece of enamel that flaked off is on the inside where the spout meets the body of the pot, and no more is loose or has fallen off. I'm perfectly fine with this and have no concerns. I absolutely love that it keeps my tea warm for 3 hours!
I love this teapot, cast iron is the way to go for convenience and aesthetics. I think this teapot is a nice size as it makes exactly two cups
Nice size, holds 4-6 servings and stays warm for an hour or more. Cups get pleasantly warm, not too hot. Pleasant feel to the iron, mellow and sturdy look to the pot.
The rim on the teapot where the infuser and lid sit consistently rusts a bit. I've only avoided it by thoroughly drying everything, and then leaving pot, lid, and infuser separated overnight.
It looks like the glaze on the inside of the teapot doesn't reach to the rim where the lid sits, and moisture on that bare iron overnight means rust. Possibly the infuser is trapping moisture in the folded metal ring that holds the mesh, and when storing the pot assembled that rusts?
Either way, frequently getting a little rust the next morning. Have cleaned it off the pot with a little vinegar, but the infuser is getting some stubborn stains.
This is the cutest, little teapot w/matching tea cups - beautifully crafted and heavy for it's size. It keeps my tea hot for a long time.
I love this teapot. I got it for myself to incorporate into my study/work habit, and I'm very much enjoying it so far! It keeps tea nice and warm a long time, and the small size of the teacups makes for a longer ration and enjoyment of tea, as well. I had hesitated in getting the cups with it, but am glad I did. Not to mention it is just a beautifully crafted item, and even the weight of it is a nice feel.
My only complaint is that the metal filter does let some material through on finer teas, like rooibos, so you'll wind up with some dregs on the last cup.
A stunning blue set. Cast iron is one the best tea-holding material, though depending on the temperature of the tea, holding a cup takes heat tolerance. The Meguro set keeps your tea warm for a very long time.
Gave it as a Christmas gift, it was very well received! Cute shape and holds heat well.
Works great. Retains its heat for a long time and is large enough to last for a few cups.
