This is a beautiful teapot that I am enjoying using when I want to make more than one cup of tea. It keeps the tea warm but not for hours as other reviewers say. Maybe they have a great tea cozy but the warmth does escape out of the spout when I use it. I’d say 30-40 minutes is how long my tea stays warm, less if it’s a white or green tea that was steeped at a lower temperature to begin with. I really love the look of this teapot as well!
Such a cute little teapot! It’s perfect for a large cup of tea if you’re drinking on your own or for two normal 8-10oz cups. Keeps the tea warm and looks great on a shelf

so beautiful! and the strainer is very easy to clean. Makes really only one, or a cup and a half maybe, but I live alone and have other teaware for when there's visitors. It's a very nice tea time solo ritual. Also got it with my points!! Bonus.

I got both the teapot and the cups, and I really enjoy both of them. As others have said, there was a bit of laquer in the teapot that fell off, although it took a good while for mine (been using it for over a month now). It's only lost the one piece, and that's really the only problem with the set. I love that they're cast iron, as I'm clumsy and worry about breaking things. They seem to keep the heat well, although immediately after pouring, the cups can be a little bit on the warm side for me. Overall, it's beautiful looking set that functions as expected, and is a nice size for 1-2 people.

I love the aesthetics of this teapot. An added bonus, it fits on top of my coffee mug warmer, so the contents stay warm for hours, if that is what I need!
I have used this multiple times and I love it. This teapot has a nice design and retains heat. However, though I burnt the bottom by leaving it on the burner and forgetting about it :(
But that is my fault, not the product :P
ordered teapot and cups as gift, it came in a super beat up box. emailed customer support and asked them for a replacement box. new box came in looking just as crumpled and beat up as the original. looks like something off the back shelf of the dollar store. 0/10 will not buy again.
There is a lot to love about this little teapot. It is beautiful and holds the heat of the tea very nicely. The strainer fits well and is a nice, fine mesh. We have several larger teapots so the smaller size (2-3 cups depending on size) works for me. The one issue that concerns me is that we've had some of the enamel, especially around the lid area come off, especially at first, and I admit, I don't appreciate that.
I bought the pot and four cups, and I love them all- they retain heat beautifully, are extremely pretty, and portion it out just enough that my tea doesn't get tepid.
It is a little smaller then I expected, but it is still so cute. Works well. I like how the tea strainer is so deep that it touches the bottom of the pot. I wish the inside of the pot and cups had less glazz. The point of using a cast iron pot is for the iron to filter the water and add iron to your water. The tea cups get very hot! I almost burnt my fingers picking it up.
The handle is off when received, cannot install it. Contacted seller, no response.
I ve been saving points for this ! I ve wanted it for years, and figured I had enough of a discount to go for it. It s beautiful and heavy , I can put it on my electric stove warmer and it keeps for me for hours. I do make sure to dry it since the reviews had issues with rusting.
i bought this because it is elegant...happily surprised to find it keeps tea warm for quite a while

I was drawn to the Meguro Teapot because of the color and marsh-like designs, but I never realized I'd end up loving the whole set as much as I do. Something about using them makes tea time feel like a celebratory event and I've caught myself making a little more tea than my low caffeine-tolerant self can handle. Both the tea pot and tea cups get very hot, which is a plus for the pot, but a finger hazard for the cups if you re as impatient as I am. Thankfully, the cups cool down relatively quickly despite the teapot staying warm for about an hour. My only critique is that a few flakes of the inner glaze have chipped off and ended up my tea for no apparent reason. For that, I'd give the set 4.5 stars.
Doesn t hold as much as I thought. When reusing tea and tea further expands it holds even less the second time. If you like to resuse your tea I would not recommend this pot.

Absolutely stunning teaware! This is a wonderful piece to my teaware collection. Great quality, and it's perfect for tea tastings. I got the cups too, and I really enjoy having tea sessions with my tea loving friends. So far no issues, but I will update if anything changes. I am in love with this teapot!
I love the weight and find the teapot visually pleasing.
I bought this for my daughter as a gift. The part I hate about it the most is that she has to first boil a pot of hot water to use bcause you can not boil the water in this pot or so I was informed at the store. Had I known that you could never actually use this to boil the water then steep the tea I would have gotten something entirely different like a Mr Teapot.
I'm very happy with this teapot. It pours excellently without any dribbling. The only thing I would say against it is that some of the enamel around the rim flaked off the first few uses. That has stopped now and I don't think it will cause any problems in the future.
Love using this teapot to keep my tea warm while I savor the flavor of a good tea.
Love it! Keeps my tea warm for over an hour and is easy to clean. No signs of rust or chipping enamel. (I will update this review if any adverse wear occurs with more use.)

When I received it in the mail I opened it up and was a bit worried when I saw the box the teapot was in because it had been torn and appeared to had been dropped at some point in time before being packaged for shipping!Lucky for me when I took the teapot out for inspection it was fine and had no damage.
The tea pot is very cute and just what I wanted. It seems very sturdy and I do not think I will have an issue using it. I also purchased two matching cups and it looks like I will be able to get 3-4 cups worth of tea out of a single pot.
Lovely pot but to heavy empty to pour so pot and tea would be emptied all over the table. This is a biased opinion since I have hand tremors and grasping is neigh impossible.
I love this little pot. It keeps my tea hotter than ceramic. Thats why I bought it. I love the color.
Very nice and sturdy. Heavier than it looks. No complaints really, but the pot and cups heat up a lot. So if you aren't expecting it or have particularly hot water be careful or you might burn your hands.

We love our Meguro teapot! We use it everyday. It's one of our regular go-to teapots. Pours nicely, keeps the tea hot, and looks beautiful. Also, for me since I'm sometimes accident prone, I like to know that I can't break this one because it's cast iron!
A bit Small and the cups get hot really quick. All in all a good solid little pot to make a small bit of tea in.
This is the first teapot I have purchased that has an infuser. It is very small (holds approximately 2 cups of tea), so it is perfect for my morning cup.
