This is the best invention ever! The diffuser is perfect and it's also very versatile - I can use it with my other cups as well. I love the design, and the glass is much more durable than it appears.

Love this, I want to pick up a few more eventually.

This cup/infuser is awesome for a nice large cup of team during the day. The infuser has a fine mesh that works amazingly well with rooibos teas that tend to have a fine leaf.

After the first one I ordered I have ordered 5 more for family and friends is great for a nice large mug of tea.

I love this very delicate looking yet sturdy cup, saucer and infuser set. I recently lost my infuser and had my whole office searching for it. People kept showing up at my desk with cheap, inferior infusers. I finally had to admit defeat and buy a whole new cup set and then show all of my fellow tea drinkers a REAL infuser. High quality stainless steel is THE way to go!

It's big. It brews tea for one person. It looks awesome.

This thing has one job and it does it well. Definitely worth the money. Period.

I dropped the Jumbo cup, it shattered. I still use the infuser at home but I have few mugs that are large enough to accommodate it. I will probably switch over to paper filters in the near future.

I purchased two of these in case I break one, but it is very durable. I doubt that will happen. I am very satified with the product it is great. The infuser and the cup and saucer are all in one. You will be very satisified if you purchase this product. I give this product a rating of 95.

I LOVE this set! I bought one to keep at the office, and loved it so much I've ordered a second to bring home! The tiny holes in the infuser are small enough that even rooibos teas don't fall to the bottom of your cup. The wide body does lose heat faster than other mugs, but it doesn't bother me as I don't drink my tea piping hot. A really great looking mug that gets lots of compliments!

I am a huge fan of Adagio's infuser cups~ they're made of a Borosilicate type glass, which retains heat longer than a typical tea mug, and isn't as prone to breaking from thermal shock (like washing your cup with hot water, then pouring cold water in it & having it crack). It's a very thin glass as well, that looks incredilbly delicate but actually is fairly tough~ you should still handle it gingerly, but it won't break as easily as you would think.
I have a weird quirk about thin glass too~ i swear tea & coffee tastes better out of it. I'm constantly scouring the stores, but never find any, so I've resigned myself to buying them online & risking the bouncing dangers of shipping it~ more than once they've arrived broken or cracked; but never have Adagio's, so you can buy it with confidence from them.
I also love this particular shape of mug- the barista special wide mouth. There's just something charming about it. I had recently ordered their other infuser mug, the traditionally shaped one; loved it, and was about to order a back up one when this caught my eye. Immidietly i ordered it, and was super excited, but when it arrived i realized with some dissapointment that the glass lid only fits over the infuser; not the actual mug.
The caveat being, these cups, due to their shape, will lose their heat faster than a regular shaped one~ even with the Borosilicate glass. It's just the nature of physics; not a design flaw~ whether Adagio intended their lids to be used after steeping, I'm not certain, but their traditionally shaped mug's lid fits once the infuser is removed, and I assumed this one would too~ which would compensate for the jumbo mug shape's inability to retain heat. It may seem silly; but i drink tea all day long; and I drink it fairly fast; & having used this shape of mug in the past, i know it will entail multiple trips to the microwave to warm it up if I want it to stay hot.
Aside from the lid debacle, the mug itself is great~ it comes with a glass saucer; always nice for serving & avoiding steam rings on the table. The mug is well made; the infuser is made with the same soft mesh the traditional shaped mug's is; which helps avoid knocking of the two, and in turn, helps avoid chipping. Adagio's infusers are always outstanding and allow for very little to slip through, if at all~ I purchased a competitior's mug a few months back, whose infuser was made out of the same type of glass the mug was, and it had 4 nearly invisible slits at the bottom for the water to steep through. those slits were so microscopic I thought for sure nothing would escape them, but I ended up with far more sediment in my tea using that than I do with Adagio's.
It also begs to be said that the wider shape of the mug lends itself a wider infuser, which allows the tea leaves more room to expand & steep; and therefor, can provide a better tasting cup of tea in theory.
So- my advice: great mug, and if you don't mind not having a lid, than buy it. If you prefer having the lid, or don't want to reheat it several times in the microwave 9which I personally always think kind of leeches some of the flavour out) stick with their traditionally shaped one. It really just comes down to a matter of aethetic preference, and the proximity of your couch, a good book, and the microwave.

I ordered this as a gift for my friend who loves tea almost as much as I do. It has quickly become her favorite mug!!

I am so happy with my new cup , its very easy to use when you just want a cup and not a pot of tea. Hopefully soon i would like to purchase more to make a set .

yes, this glass is thin but its very strong! So far at least. i love this cup because its JUMBO size. the infuser doesnt let any little peices through.

Bought this as a Christmas present. It is a perfect gift for a tea lover, especially those who really appreciate the color of the tea as he or she is drinking it.

Not bad, but not great. It could be a little heavier.

I love these cups; they're beautiful and lose heat at just the right speed for my drinking habits. The only problem is that they break easily. That's a pretty big problem, though.

The cup is slightly unwieldy, but has a platter which seems to balance it out. The infuser is actually really well made and does the job. Very little residue gets through the filter.

It has proven to be sturdy so far, but I would have liked it better if the glass was a little thicker. The infuser should have more holes in the bottom region.

I bought this cup for work, since I don't really want to deal with a tea pot there. It works okay, but seems kinda fragile.

The jumbo cup is excellent, the perfect size for a morning cup of tea. As for the infuser, it doesn't seem to give quite as well an infusion as the ingenuiTEA, which I would highly recommend.

I love this cup. The size is perfect to cradle in my hands on a cold day and is very light weight and durable. I will probably order a couple more.

Beautiful elegant design -- feels flimsy but truely is well made -- dishwasher safe on the top rack. A real WOW factor for guests

This oversized mug and infuser is a favorite around our house. More will be ordered.

dropped it just a couple of feet and it completely shattered! but it got me through the night as I worked on my term paper

This is what I use to make tea when I'm alone. Quick and easy to prepare and clean.

I love this cup with infuser. It shows off the beauty of the tea so well. Slightly fragile, but well worth the money.

Love the Cups and Infuser. Cups are nice and large and work well with the blooming teas. The cups and saucers do seem delicate though. I would recommend washing by hand and not placing in the sink with other dishes.

I liked this cup and infuser but it broke after just a light tap on my dish rack. I still have the infuser though and use it in another mug.

Quickly becoming my favorite cup, and not just for tea. I can see I'll need to buy another one at some point.

Nice boro silicate cup and saucer. Strainer is very easy to clean. Enough room to bloom. Yes it is thin, but not delicate, same glass used in beakers in labs, very heat and cold tollerant. Nice large cup of tea. Very well thought out and works exactly as designed. Highly recommended.

very nice. the infuser could have been deeper. it reaches less than half way down the cup, so i can barely get a good infusion with 8 ounces of water.

I use this at work. It is beautiful and very useful.

The design is very thoughtful. One caveat: When I steep black tea, the water is very hot, and because the infuser is metal, it transmits the heat right through. It is *very* hot when I remove the infuser. But having the lid double as a coaster for the infuser when done? Very nice.

I ordered this as a gift but I inspected it throughly before giving this away. The only reason I don't give this a five star rating is because the glass is very thin and it seems fragile. However, the infuser is wonderful and really does a great job of keeping the leaves out of your cup. I think the modern look and the functionality of this set makes it a good buy.

This was an awesome purchase. I like a bit more than just a cup of tea most of the time so this was great for me. The infuser is great and gives plenty of room for the tea to unfurl. The clear glass is great so you can really see the color of the teas. Highly recommended.

A very classy and well constructed tea cup. The all glass cup (with it's matching lid and saucer) lets you watch your tea steep, and the removable infuser makes clean-up an ease.

Its so easy to use! It makes enjoying tea at work just that much more conviently

I've been using the jumbo cup and infuser for a few days, and don't know how I ever got along without it. The design is simple, efficient, and elegant. I love it. I do wish the handle was just slightly bigger, but it's a tiny drawback in what is otherwise a great product.

Very attractive cup and saucer, but a bit unwieldy due to the size and weight of the cup when full of tea. Could benefit from a larger handle. But this is my favorite cup for brewing flowering teas.

Wonderful size cup. Feels comfortable in the hand. Excellent for someone who is just starting their so to be obsession with loose teas.

I use this at work every day and it is so convenient. Our coffee machines dispense hot water, so this is super convenient and I get lots of compliments on the beautiful design.

One of the best tea sets I have ever used. People love the look and comment on it all the time. VERY easy to clean. The only downside is how quickly it cools off.

I love my cup, the handle is a bit small so I use the saucer to pick it up.

This cup is so beautiful. I get compliments every time I use it. It holds just the right amount and cleans up easily. A must have!
