I couldn't love this product more! Great for hot and iced teas and its also awesome if you like to re-steep your leaves!!
I was a little skeptical at first since I normally use my cast iron teapot to make tea. I was worried my tea would taste like plastic. I decided to buy this to try to convince my sisters, who are too lazy to take out the entire tea pot to make their own tea. There is one final problem in my family, we all like different kinds of teas. One of my sister loves her black tea while the other one likes bitter green tea. My mother loves fruity teas that are strong while I prefer cinnamon soft teas. Whenever it was tea time, someone was going to be unhappy. This teapot is so quick and easy to use that they have been making tea everyday. And the tea is coming out great. Plus it is super easy to clean. Then we throw in the next person's tea. Everyone is happy. I am very happy with my purchase that I plan to buy many more to gift to all my friends :)
I love this thing. It gives my tea plenty of room to steep properly. Only down side is the staining. I've followed the tips to clean it, but it's still a bit brown.
I think I'm in love wow. Its really relaxing watching the tea steep, and really gets you ready to enjoy it. GET ONE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TEA.
I had the old ingenuiTEA for years, used it until the plastic finally cracked. The only problem I ever had with the old one was that the filter tended to float up after I poured the water. Bad news, because the water would just pour out the bottom. This new version has solved that problem, the filter is fixed in the bottom. Smart! I worried that it would be hard to clean but it's not. My only concern is that the plastic will eventually crack like it did on my first one, but I did use it for many years before that happened. I suppose that when you repeatedly pour boiling water into a plastic vessel, you can only expect the vessel to last for so long. Good job, Adagio!
I love being able to watch the tea steep without having to worry about my tea maker breaking the way I would with a fragile glass teapot. I've only used my ingenuiTEA once, but so far so good. :)
I love this teapot. I can't believe I didn't get it sooner. It's smaller than I expected but that isn't a problem at all. It is super easy to use and to clean I just run it through hot water. When brewing I set it on top of my personaliTea teapot so I can keep it warm without over steeping and it fits perfectly. I will more than likely end up getting the iced version of this teapot as well.
This has to be the single best way to brew Iced Tea ever! Thanks Adagio for all the great service over the years.
LOVE, LOVE the imgenuiTEA, it makes brewing tea a breeze, especially in the mornings. This is a great little device, whether you are a tea newbie, or a tea connoisseur-pick one up today!!
This works really well. It fits on most of my mugs.
This is the greatest invention ever! I use mine a couple times a day and have given several as gifts to very special friends, because I don't give gifts to people I don't like.
Wonderful. Works great. It it great that it is dishwasher safe. Great size for a cup of tea.
You will have to take this apart and clean it regularly, which can be a pain the first time. Other than that, it's really nice. I like this over a tea ball because the leaves actually get to open because of all the room.
Love it! Very easy to use and easy to clean. I've gotten in the habit of pre-filling it before I go for a swim/do errands/etc. and for fast, easy tea goodness. I was concerned that it being plastic might make it smell/taste funny but that hasn't been a problem at all.
Works well, easy to clean, fits over a standard sized mug.
Love this marvelous invention! Don't even remember how to make tea the old way anymore (just joking) really miss it when I visit my brother around the holidays. AWESOME buy for any tea lovers
this thing is awesome! it literally makes making tea at home super easy. its fast and easy to clean. the fine mesh keeps out out even the smallest of leaves.
THIS IS AMAZING. it is so simple and effective. I couldn't imagine making loose tea without it.
This is the THIRD one I have purchased! The first on my mother took, lol. Then my sister took the next one. Finally! This one is mine!
I don't know how I ever lived without this. It is in nearly constant use. I may need to buy multiples!
This is so fun to use, I like the way the water changes color with the different kinds of teas. And it's so easy to use.
great idea i have both the same and the large one and i use them all the time.
Just used it to make the new Barrels of Tea blend I got as well. Worked just as I had expected it to. Although it didn't really fit over my go-to tea mug, I made it work and it was great!
Best invention ever! Love the clear view. You can see just how strong or weak the brew is.
I love this thing! It's so convenient, I don't have to mess around with a tea ball. It doesn't leave any tea pieces in the strained liquid, and I can even add sugar with the loose tea. The only thing I could think to improve would be to add measurement lines. I used a sharpie to make some, but it looks a little sloppy.
It's a fantastic little gizmo that works exactly as advertised. Just make sure the amount of water you put into the ingenuiTEA isn't more than your cup will hold.
When we ALL want chai, I am thankful for this size
I drink at least four cups of tea a day, and this genius little thing has made that a much simpler process, not to mention making re-steeping easier. Doesn't fit around my larger cup tops, but works just fine if you put it to the side a bit. Comes apart easily and cleans back to brand new with a warm water/bleach soak.
This is great when you want one cup of tea, we generally brew by the pot though so it hasn't seen much use yet. From what we have done with it it is great. Fully recommend it
I've had one of these before, got one for my mate. They are awesome. Really do get the job done well every time.
Everything everyone said it was. simply a great product that does what it's supposed to.
I love this thing. Easy to use, doesn't leave bits of tea leaves floating around, and makes it easy to brew additional cups with the same tea leaves. The only drawback I can think of is that some measuring lines on the side would be helpful, but that is in no way a dealbreaker for me.
this is an impressive little device. Works very well and is easy to clean once the filter screen is removed. It even holds the proper amount of water that fits my personal requirements. The only draw back would seem to be in the base fitting only certain size cups or mugs. Anything larger then the base of this steeping device will not work. But, having said this I would recommend this very nice product to you. It works very well...Steve...PS. the filter snaps in and out...4/24/14. After owning this tea steeper mug for a few day's now I would like to add this amendment to this review. What looked impressive upon it's arrival has now been placed in the cabinet of seldom used things. This steeping mug might have been a great idea to someone at sometime but has become just another 'gimmick' product that is destined to collect dust on a shelf until someone else decides to give it a try. Does it work well? Yes. Is it worth the money? Not if you are going use it for a couple of weeks and then begin to realize it's really just a pain in the butt. And if it doesn't fit my favorite mug, then really, what good is it? I have gone back to my vary favorite, and the easiest method of placing tea in the bottom of a two cup Pyrex measuring cup, Adding the right amount water at the right temperature and straining tea through a 3in mesh strainer into my mug. No fuss, no muss. Easy to clean, Bob's your uncle. I really did make an effort at liking this strainer, but I just can't. Be sure that you measure the amount water that will fill your mug or cup, in your mug or cup, before adding hot water to the steeper. If you put more hot water in steeper then your cup or mug will hold and don't keep an eye on what you are doing, hot water will run everywhere. Best of luck, Steve.
Works as advertised. I keep mine at work so I can make just a cup instead of a pot of tea. It's easy to clean. One caution-take care that the plastic lid doesn't come off when you empty the used tea into the trash. I had to go searching for it in a large kitchen garbage can because it fell off.
This is a no mess no fuss way to brew loose leaf teas!
Love the updated design (the filter basket doesn't float up!) - so glad I went ahead and splurged on a new one!
Pretty handy tool for making loose leaf tea. The filter at the bottom is very fine, I've never had anything floating in my tea after straining it. It's convenient if you're going somewhere where you know you won't have a strainer with you. It's easy to clean and has more than enough space for the leaves to expand. I've found it a bit redundant though. It's great at what it does, but if you have a strainer at home, then it's a bit pointless.
Works perfectly, and is pretty simple to clean. A lot less maintenance than a tea pot and makes multiples steeps really easy. Absolutely worth the $20.
I saw this teapot in action at a tea tasting at Adagio. I knew at that moment I needed the ingenuiTEA. My friend then bought it for me as a Christmas gift. I love it and use it multiple times per day. It is easy to use and makes tea brewing fun!
Now that I've tried it, I simply can't live without this teapot. I even bought one for my sister-in-law.
This is the best tea infuser I've come across. It is such a hit at work. I have about 10 people interested in buying one, so I emailed them all a gift certificate. It really is ingenious.
Best way to steep tea leaves. It does drip a little after steeping so make sure there is something underneath it
This little gadget is so neat. The look is very sleek, so I feel comfortable leaving it out in my countertop. I use it at least twice a day, and it is very easy to clean, which I appreciate. I have already bought another one as a gift for a family member.
This is the best invention for drinking tea at work. Clean and easy!
I love this product! It is absolutely magical, and the most convenient way to brew a single cup of loose leaf tea.
I finally got one as a Christmas gift and it was in such demand with my teenagers and husband that I went back and got two more! It makes brewing loose tea simple and fun.
My sister and I went into the store on 4999 Old Orchard Center Mall as of 3-15-14. Since we bought this it's a blessing in disguise and it works like a dream. All you do is add 1 heaping teaspoon of loose tea inside the ingeniTEA pot, then boil tea water, next add hot water inside the pot to your tea leaves and let it seep 2-3 minutes. You get to watch the tea leaves float up to the top soon your tea will be ready to drink, that quick. My tea tastes just right allowing the seeping times. I have been using my old teas and they taste just like I just bought it the same day. They are 3 years old but still drinkable. Carolyn P.
I was cautious of this thing at first, but decided to give it a try after a few other tea pots being soldout. I LOVE this thing. It's simply, portable and makes the best cup of tea I've ever had at home.
I was fascinated by this the minute I saw it, so I ordered it. Then I saw it on The Walking Dead and it continued to fascinate. I love it! I know already that I will be ordering another so I can keep one at home and take the other to the office!
I love this infuser! It's so easy to make tea and clean out. I use this infuser almost every day. I can't seem to find a replacement filter on this website though.
